When my children were little we lived down the street from Anna Blackman (Crown Point, IN) who photographed our children from the day they were born through 4th grade for my son and second for my daughter. I was so sad when we moved as I thought Anna would see my children grown up and know the spirit of my children when she photographed them as adults. What I am so excited to announce is that we found Mindy! She took time to get to know my children and find their personalities. This is very hard when you have a very stoic son and yet she was able to pull out a laugh along with his GQ side. My daughter is beautiful inside and out and Mindy was able to capture that little bit of "I am up to something look" in her senior photos." A look most people don't see but we know well. I was referred to Mindy at Nature's Child Photography by a friend and I am so grateful. Mindy took the time prior to the photo session to get to know my daughter. Based on the information she gathered, she was so helpful in giving input into where and when(sunset) to do the shoot and items my daughter could include to bring out her personality and hobbies. Mindy was an absolute gem to work with. She is prompt in responding to your initial request and has so many fun ideas if you are at a loss of what you want to do for your session. We did 1 year pictures for our baby and threw in a couple family shots as well. To our session, she brought her husband to help her with the props and he is so sweet also. I think her prices are fair for the quality of work she does and puts in to getting the perfect pictures... so much so I agonized over which ones we actually chose to keep. Her sitting fee is EXTREMELY fair compared to others in town.
