My wife and I arrived and tried to find parking in the lot, but it was very small with lots of vehicles parked all over, so we went to the side of the building and that's when I saw the food truck. It looked operable with outdoor seating, but no menu. So we parked in the grass area and went inside the market. The inside is much larger than it appears from the outside. The back area has some tables to dine-in and it a small section more towards the back has homemade ice cream! Onto the food.....they have a large menu with lots of options. Picture ALL of your favorite Mexican foods and then some! We tried the 5 street tacos with Jibarito (drink) special for $13.50. We added a couple of supreme tacos, a plate of refried beans and yellow rice, and a tamale. Note: We ordered chicken for the tacos and tamale. While the chicken was just ok, I would imagine that any other meat would have tasted better. Everything came out to about $25 and tasted good. Surprising, the best part were the refried beans, which is a first for me because those are usually afterthoughts at every other place I've been. So the verdict is in....is Crystal THE best Mexican food in Deland? No, but it's pretty solid. It reminded me of a gas station version of Garcia's down the street.

My family and I have been going to Sweet Spot for more than 10 years. Their homemade ice cream, no matter which flavor I choose, is always so good. They use quality ingredients and come up with some of the most delicious and creative flavors. My favorite is Chocolate Salted Toffee.
