The first thing you notice when you walk in is that the store is very clean. I appreciate that! Second, the macarons are very cute. At least around the holidays! Many of the holiday flavors are decorated so nicely (with holiday sprinkles, as a reminder, as a snowman, etc.) It just adds a very festive touch. The actual macarons are very yummy. You can really taste the different flavors. I've been to a couple of places where no matter what the flavor is they all basically taste the same. That is definitely not the case here. And they do not skimp on the amount of filling in each macaron. It's a generous amount. I've purchased these as Christmas presents for my boyfriend's boss as well as for family members. Went here for the 1st time last year for my birthday. They are located in a small plaza, so parking is a breeze! The worker was super nice, and so was the inside. Some of the best macaroons I have had Surfing around the maps, we found a local macaroons place not too far off from our location. With adventure being our destination, we made the trek. This place is pretty well hidden. It's on the back side of a bigger building, which really throws off the GPS. Walking in, they got a big display case showing off all their varieties. They got two lines, so you pick a side and wait your turn. Then when you get to your turn you get a giant display of macaroons to select from. We got 6 (plus 2 as our samples) and a small container of mini macaroons to enjoy on the ride home. I say this with no ego, these are the best macaroons I have had thus far. Soft, chewy, flavorful crispy pillow bites of joy. I usually have a hard time justifying spending 2.50 on a tiny cookie, but these ones are worth the money. The mini macaroons didn't survive the ride, and the big ones lasted a while longer. These macaroons are awesome, and worth the trek to try. If you get a chance, try them out! read more

My friend Katie had given me a heads-up that there was a new bakery in town cranking out macarons. I was back in town this weekend and headed over to check them out. IMPORTANT LOCATION INFORMATION: The shop DOES NOT face Market Street. It is on the back side of the building. To get to it, make a right onto 19th Street and make your first left into the lower parking lot. The goods: Delicious. Some solid traditional flavors on the year-round menu with seasonal flavors rolling in and out every month. The tart cherry flavor had a nice bright taste. The salted caramel was RICH! Six macarons for $12.50. This spot is a great addition to the boro. Looking forward to visiting them when I'm back in town. read more

This place really lives up to its name! VELVETY goodness. So light, fresh and airy. Perfect amount of sweetness. The interior is so inviting and tastefully done ;-) they have a wide variety of flavor. They offer "basic" flavors lemon, strawberry, chocolate etc which I actually appreciate (I'm Basic) other flavors are also very good and interesting without being overboard- tiramisu, cinnamon bun, brownie batter etc. Service was great- quick and friendly. As soon as we walked out and took a bite of our macarons we wanted to turn around and get more. Do yourself a favor and check them out. read more
