Located in the car park of the Thai Restaurant, it's a grand idea for Thursday lunch time and one I hope grows with time. But back to That BBQ Joint. It's a small food truck with just enough room for two inside but that doesn't seem to stop them serving up delicious BBQ meats like pulled pork and brisket. I went for the Brisket Roll which also comes with cheese, slaw and their home-made BBQ sauce. Their 12 hour smoked Brisket is clearly the star of this roll, and frankly, I'd be happy to eat a plate of that alone. It's tender, smokey in all the right ways and their BBQ sauce compliments it so very well. Everything else around it is just supporting acts. The roll itself isn't gourmet, just a plain hamburger roll. It's easy to see I'm not alone in thinking this as That BBQ Joint had the longest line by far as I arrived. Do yourself a favour: seek their next location and part with the best $10 you'll spend.

Both were top shelf and the serving sizes were more than adequate. The mixed plate has both pulled pork and beef brisket as well as either slaw or potato and bacon salad (my choice!). The meat is to die for especially the brisket which melts in your mouth. My son could only get through half of his roll as it was sooo stacked with pork and slaw. My only issues were that the ribs weren't available and they were the initial attraction especially for my son. Also, I'm not sure about (free) parking although others may be able to suggest spots. The "vacaloca" (which I understand in my limited comprehension of spanish, loosely translates to mad-cow) $8, is a braised cape grim angus brisket in esquabeche baguette with swiss cheese. The dumpling is a "Coxinha" $5. Have been waiting to try a genuine Coxinha for ages, since I've befriend many Brazilians, who've told me about this amazing traditional dish. Based on other reviews, it seems the owners are quite arrogant and often respond to negative feedback with what feels like a bribe. The large number of suspiciously positive reviews from those fake accounts suggests something is off, which is quite disappointing. As for the food, it was alright, though some wings were a bit too small. The "American BBQ" flavor was a bit watery and could have been cooked longer. I also found a hair in my wings, which was annoying, but I'm not one to make a fuss. Overall, I would probably give this place 1 star due to the poor environment and the attitude of the owners, though i will give it a two for the Bee sting wings. :(

I'm not too sure what gravy they use but I found that it was sweet, I was drinking a fair bit so my taste buds may have been off but either way it worked. I never thought I would have gotten through it all it was so huge, but I got through it and was tempted to go get more it was that good. The ladies sitting next to me asked what I was eating and I gladly sent them on there way to get some for themselves and they also loved it. I will definitely be going back!
