This review is overdue but I figured better late than never especially when it comes to Karen. My daughter and I found Karen (Sweet Little Baker) on Yelp at the same time. My kids are all born in February and we were throwing 3 different birthday parties with 3 different themes. From our first conversation to our last, Karen was friendly, easy to talk to, helped me with ideas (as i have none when it comes to cakes/flavors), and was quick to respond to my texts/phone calls. Most importantly she did not let us down!! She made an incredible vanilla bean with strawberry filling Mickey Mouse cake and chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate filling for our 2 year old, a red velvet with cream cheese filling hello kitty cake and chocolate chip cupcakes with chocolate ganache for our 7 year old, and an awesome black out cake for our 13 year old. Not only did the cakes/cupcakes look amazing but they tasted AMAZING too and were reasonably priced. My son was turning the all important double digit of "10". He decided he wanted camouflage for his party. Finding a cake that fit that requirement was not going to be found at Vons or Costco. I discovered "Sweet Little Baker" via Yelp. Karen is fabulous with communication. She immediately sent me pictures of ideas. We went with the cupcakes, and they were so adorable. There was lots of green, army men, army jeeps, etc. You can tell that when you give her a theme, she is going to run with it. The cupcakes were fun and very delicious. The kids were fighting over who got to keep the army jeeps, army men, etc. Karen is not only a talented baker, she is very personable, and reliable. I had to delay my party for one week, and she just went with the flow. If you have an unusual theme, she will find a way to make it work.
