They do shoddy work. Do not use! They installed a new pump motor. They installed it with a leak. More, I did not see the leak until months later. So, when I called them for warranty, they say another $246 to fix the problem that they did not do correctly the first time. See attached picture of how a leaky pump will look--note the dampness on platform. It's ok if you make a mistake but, it's a damn shame when you don't correct it. Customer service is bad. read more

Technician poorly communicated issues, did not follow up to explain what he fixed, and was very rude throughout the process. We were also charged for an additional part as they claimed it was not working, but he told me he accidentally broke it off. I later found out from the Manager, who was very friendly but not that accommodating, that they even took a picture to highlight the issue, yet this was never shown to me by the technician or even mentioned. We were also double charged on a previous time when the same technician charged an additional site visit to fix a leak one day later. This was a leak in a slightly different location, but I guess he didn't do a thorough enough job during the first site visit. read more

Bad customer relations and price-gouging for repairs. Paid $120 for a diagnostic visit. Technician identified issue quickly in under 10 min but didn't have part to repair in truck. Quote for upcoming repair included another $135 diagnostic/ labor/ trip charge and Kitt would not credit the $120 I already paid for the diagnostic. So total of $255 for trip/ labor for a simple fix. Great service, don't push extra chemicals on me and keep my pool always clean and sparkling. I found that they do it more efficiently than I was maintaining the pool and very close to the same price as when I was buying all the chemicals. But they do all the work and I get all the enjoyment. Also, a big deal to me, is they keep an eye on your system, notify you if there is a problem and then will make any repairs that are necessary and that you authorize. This was a big deal after the February 2021 freeze. Being a customer I felt like I got expedited services for my frozen equipment. They also answered emails in the middle of the night during the freeze on how to do some self prep and freeze prevention. I always recommend Sweetwater! read more

Used them once to come and clean out a skimmer line. They blew the line once and a toy torpedo came out. Rather than simply blow the line again a few more times to see if it was clear, they simply turned the pump on and saw it was flowing and considered the job done. I had to call them back out when the line was clogged again a week later. They came back out and blew it out once and another toy torpedo popped out. I asked him to blow it out until toys stopped coming out. They did and two more toys came out. After a few more blowouts the toys stopped coming. If they'd simply done this the first time then (a) all the toys would've come out or (b) I would've been satisfied that they completed the job to the best of their ability. They charged me for the second job and Sheila refused to refund the money when I called and she claimed that they did the job the first time. Will never use again. read more

I called Sweetwater Pool in Bellaire TX to provide me with an estimate to repair my pool heater and light. They promptly sent a serviceman and provided a written estimate in the amount of $1650. I mentioned this to my regular pool cleaning company and they indicated that Swwetwater Pool & Patio was obviously trying to defraud me. They indicated that the heater had not problem and that the light bulb simply needed to be changed. Repairs were made for $110 vs. $1650. Sweetwater Pool in Bellaire is a fraud and everyone needs to be made aware. read more

Was looking to purchase a Big Green Egg and found this place. Their prices were the best by far for the main items. I bought the cookbook originally but went back the next day because I did not listen to the lady when she said that the plate setter was the #1 item purchased from egg users. Well I took the book back not sure they would take it back which they did and then purchased the plate setter and the DigiQ DX2 for my new egg. I had no problem with my purchase and they lady was very helpful. As for the other reviewer here I think calling the business as defrauding is totally out of line. You were given an estimate if you don't like it you call some one else and get a second opinion. Maybe the tech did not look in to it that well who knows but to say they were trying to defraud you is totally out of line. You did not get service from them so there was no defrauding. read more

Sweetwater Pools, owned by Sheila Bezdek, is a pool company that needs to be avoided. This company is unethical on so many levels - defrauding the elderly, charging for equipment not needed, falsely charging to "instruct" owner of new equipment when it was never shown to anyone, leaving the home vulnerable by not closing the gate, neglecting the pool to the point of it being emerald green with algae on the sides, etc. etc. After our 97 year old mother passed away our family saw she was being charged for twice a week pool service, which is ridiculous. The monthly charge was almost twice as much as any other pool service. Our family lives out of town so it was clear they were not providing good service because the house was empty, and called us several times saying we needed a new pool motor, extra equipment, a pool filler, even though that had never been needed before. I drove in from Austin and met them at the house because I was suspicious. The electricity was off so I walked around to the side of the building where the pool equipment was and it was back on. I walked back around and the pool guy was gone. Just gone and the equipment was in the pool. We were charged for the pool filler AND for instructing the customer which was never done. Never. Still hasn't. We put the house up for sale, I once again drove to Houston, met the realtor on Saturday, the pool people were supposedly there the day before. The pool was emerald green, no exaggeration. I have the pictures, and there was algae visible on the side of the pool. This is the first day the house is on the market. They came out to clean it and said they didn't know why the pool was green. The pool cleaner did not know it was green the day before or earlier in the week. Then I was charged for the cleanup. Really? I told the owner she was nuts to even charge me for the monthly fee when obviously they had neglected the pool to that point. The realtor said it was the worst case of pool neglect she had ever seen. We have things missing from the backyard and it is due to the gate not being latched. We latched the lock to where the pool guy will have to go around to the other side to get in. The latch is on the inside of the gate. My realtor called and said the gate was wide open and the yard was visible to the road. It is obvious the pool guy left by unlatching the lock and leaving without it being latched because he wouldn't be able to latch it. He needed to leave the other way which obviously was too much trouble for him. I called the owner and she said her employee said he didn't do it. I said it's on camera and instead of apologizing, saying she would talk to him, no, she said I want to see the tape from the camera. Really?? The owner? And we wonder why their company runs that way? It starts with the owner. On top of that, today, she also said the police officer investigating the theft from the backyard could only talk to them except at 7:00 am at her business. Really? This woman then said maybe you should find another pool company. I agree 100%. The problem is we don't live there and the only time we can be there is on the weekends. That is our mistake. We should have fired these people a long time ago. My attorney has received the pictures and said they are so negligent. I have never sued anyone in my life and I don't plan on it now, however, these people need to be closed down. They especially need to be reported to organizations that help the elderly and people who are vulnerable because it's the owner who is ripping people off and taking advantage of one of the sweetest elderly woman in the world. Crooks! Was charged for a service visit during Hurricane Harvey flooding. Claimed they "stopped by" but could not get access to backyard and stated they would not refund due to drive time. Seriously?? The city was under water and yet they were able to drive to Sugar Land??? Avoid. read more
