We have plenty of cleaners, we needed this pool store! I was immediately greeted by the husband and wife franchise owners. I spoke for a moment with the wife about my needs and soon learned they have referrals for plaster work, pool maintenance/service workers and expert knowledge about pools in general. I was given a container to bring a sample in of my pool water to have it checked at no cost. I was delighted to have such a warm introduction to the store. Aside from the maintenance and chemical items, they also have fun floats, thermometers, outdoor clocks, towel holders and much much more. The store was exceptionally clean. I have always liked pool stores since was a kid. The smell brings back so many memories. Seems I was always in a pool store with my dad or my grandmother. We would go in for chemicals to treat our pools. Back in the mid 70's and early 80's, you did it yourself since having a "pool guy" was not as common as it is today. I'm very excited about how well the store is stocked. They pack a lot in this small space and I will be back to get some new floats soon. They carry my favorite brand of floats, SwimWays. Great customer service, pristine store, good prices and big selection. What more can you ask for in a pool supply place?

My neighbor recommended that I go here and get my water tested, even though I tested it on my own to get their recommendation. I have to say I got there about 20 minutes prior to closing and Jackson was there helping a customer but he acknowledged me and said he'd be right with me. After the customer left Jackson asked how he could help and I explained how new I was. He was so friendly and acknowledged all my questions. He also gave my guidance on some other things to look for in the future. After the test was done we only needed 2 inexpensive chemicals to get us on track. Jackson cared and takes pride in his work. I noticed alot of negative reviews on here and they all seem to be from many years ago. I think things have changed. As a business owner myself I understand how you can't ever get rid of negative reviews or feedback. I hope someone reads this and decides to give them a shot.

See attached picture of how a leaky pump will look--note the dampness on platform. It's ok if you make a mistake but, it's a damn shame when you don't correct it. Customer service is bad.

I later found out from the Manager, who was very friendly but not that accommodating, that they even took a picture to highlight the issue, yet this was never shown to me by the technician or even mentioned. We were also double charged on a previous time when the same technician charged an additional site visit to fix a leak one day later. This was a leak in a slightly different location, but I guess he didn't do a thorough enough job during the first site visit.

Miguel was at my house almost the moment the roads were passible after the Hurricane Harvey flood even though he has a 2 week old baby and his own house is literally under water. He also told me today that 15 of his clients are going to be out of their homes which means they won't need him to clean pools. He's such a great guy and I'm praying he can stay afloat after this flood.

I got there at 6:02 and the door was locked. I called and the same guy answered so I tell him I'm really sorry and ask him if he would sell me the part. We talked for close to 10 minutes but he just completely refused to do it. He finally recommended that I go to Warehouse Pool Supply across the street and asked me how else he could help me. I understand that places have to close but he had an opportunity to help a loyal customer who has spent tons of time and money at their store and completely failed to do so. I told him that if I have to fight traffic to go to warehouse pool supply that I would never come back to his store. He didn't care whatsoever. The guy at Warehouse Pool Supply was super friendly and swiftly got me the part I needed. I'll be going there from now. I'm giving two stars because I appreciate the recommendation to Warehouse. Leslie's is a great example of a company who has gotten too big to care and who won't go out of their way to help you give them your money.

Modern diagnosed the system and recommended a DE filter to replace the sand filter that my previous pool company recently installed to save me money and work (bull). I have had excellent results and used fewer chemical now.

They are all sullen young men who seem bothered to deal with the customer. I can get past that, but when they test the water they don't really seem to know what they are talking about. They depend on the computer print out and can't help you determine anything beyond that. I love Bioguard products and if you don't mind robotic customer service Modern Pool will work for you. Otherwise, I would suggest going to Sweetwater Pool in Bellaire.

Shoutout to the crew working today, who not only greeted me upon arrival but also helped me find what I need for both my current and new home. I ended up purchasing a few pots for root bound plants and constructing a plan for the landscaping in my backyard. As a newer green thumb, it was incredibly helpful to have some guidance as I made decisions...I've killed a lot of plants in my day. From flowers, to succulents, to shrubs, fertilizer and home gifts, they really do have a mighty selection.
