But if you are looking to just have fun, maybe not. Many of the kids complained about the owners daughter as she was not kind. Oh and make sure you don't forget food or you will be out of luck.

Had a wonderful experience with friends (all of us new to horseback riding) on a guided private…read moretrail ride with the owner Lorrie and an aide - they were incredibly helpful and patient with instructions, and were keenly focused on keeping both the animals and humans safe and happy. We also booked our group of young children (ages 5 and 8) for (staff led) pony rides which they loved (rides for both the adults and children went through some beautiful fields and forests on the ranch/farm property). It was such a great experience I even signed up the kids for a Farm Scout day camp a few days later, given they luckily had some openings. Highly recommend! Especially if you are in the Peterborough or Belleville areas (about a 45 min drive from each)
