I have been debating writing a review, and after discussing it with my client who was extremely effected by this situation I decided I needed to so other cosmos didn't have the issues my client and I went through. Overall, the store is organized, well stocked and have a wide variety of great product lines. My issue is with their Babe Extension line. I took my client/friend to Sweis with me to color match her hair and we purchased 4 packs of tape-in extensions at full price ($75/10 pieces, roughly $300+tax) in the color "Caroline", which is a mixture of blonde and a light brown. After washing them twice, the brown faded to PINK. I called the store, and they said they were aware this was happening so they said to bring the hair back and they would exchange it for a different color/mix. So I took them out of my clients hair (which cost her $ of course, about after only 2 weeks of having them in). We get to the store, and I see they WERE STILL SELLING THIS DEFECTIVE COLOR. They were not pulled off the shelf. They didn't have another color mix that even came remotely close, so we ended up exchanging them for 2 packs of the same blonde, and 2 packs of the same brown so I could mix them together to make my own "Caroline" blend. The sales girl assured me it was ONLY the"CAROLINE" that were defective. I did not have the receipt, but she said it was an even exchange after looking it up in their system. After approximately 2-3 washes, the brown AGAIN turned PINK. (Just to rule out the shampoo causing it to fade to this disgusting shade of pink, she only uses sulfate/parabin free shampoo specifically for hair extensions). I called Sweis and told them what happened without disclosing who I was, and asked, " which color was it that was defective again?" And her response floored me.....she said it was ONLY THE "BRIDGET" COLOR that was having issues, and that they pulled it from the shelves until Babe remedied the problem. She said she would gladly exchange them for a different color since "BRIDGET"was the only color people were having issues with. At this point I had her look up my account and requested a FULL REFUND because obviously it's not just 1 color that was defective. She said they don't do refunds but would exchange for store credit. ......oh no no no.....that was unacceptable. She referred me to Sweis Corporate to get approval, however, they lost my original receipt in their system showing I paid FULL PRICE, so all they would do is refund the current SALES PRICE at $68/pack. So not only is my client out all the $ it cost her in labor, she then gets shorted $28+tax on the hair. We decide we are NOT going to risk it turning pink again, and go into the store to do the refund, and what do ya know?......ALL BABE HAIR IS STILL FULLY STOCKED, ON THE SHELVES AND NONE OF THE DEFECTIVE COLORS WERE PULLED. I was blown away. They are fully aware they are selling defective EXPENSIVE hair to people. So if you are thinking about going with Babe for extensions, you might want to wait a few months until they can get their manufacturing issues squared away, and since Sweis is the only physical location to buy Babe Extensions, you might want to call and ask if the situation has been fully remedied and hope you get an honest answer. Like I said previously though, everything else in the store is awesome, just be cautious about their Babe Extensions. read more
