Unfortunately corporate LA Fitness neuters and handicaps them and their staff after the renovation by having literally 1/2 the machine equipment they had previously. But 8 cage stations. Crazy. I mean - for sure the FGCU students use it, but this area is not called God's Waiting Room for no reason! What's with the lack of equipment??? I'm sure it makes the job more difficult for the staff too because many members say the exact same thing .... (I now go South to Naples which too has a great staff and manager (Paul!) to work out and go only to Ft Myers for cardio or a quick visit.)

I went in person multiple times to this location and no one was working during office hours. Finally I got someone to help me cancel my membership, I signed what I had to sign, I agreed to pay a cancellation fee, and I am STILL BEING CHARGED MONTHLY. I have called multiple times and left multiple emails. I got a call from collections about this account saying it wasn't being paid and collections was harassing me while I am still getting charged. Worst business of all time. I don't know how they manage to get away with this. UPDATE: Those dates are in 2024. It is now AUGUST 2025 and I still can't get these parasites out of my bank account!!! ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW, and they renewed my lease without my consent!!! This should be illegal!!! UPDATE: On August 25, 2025, I got a call from Anytime Fitness for the first time. Dylan, the new owner, called to inform me about my overdue account (I canceled the credit card to stop getting robbed, hoping someone would finally speak with me). I was so elated to speak with Dylan and explain my situation, and he apologized for the previous ownership and ENSURED me he would close my account immediately. November 29, 2025, my credit score got dinged for my overdue account going to collections. These people are criminals.

This location is bright, clean and well laid out with friendly, knowledgeable staff. We drive past several other gyms on our way to this Anytime Fitness location and it is well worth it.
