GASP! Yes...I testify it's quite hard to deal with...especially with this shortcoming. But then Pete's steps in the save the day! My compressor was toast...the drier and condenser also had bit the dust...and to top it off....my a.c. system was insanely overcharged. It blew air hotter than a Texas wildfire. Not anymore. My mom has been bringing her RV here for years, and we have always trusted your shop to take care of it. Unfortunately, this experience has been very different. The RV was here for approximately a month, and there was a specific list of things that were supposed to be completed. When I called to have it picked up, the only thing that had been completed was the installation of the four tires. The fender had not been ordered, the battery shutoff had not been installed, and the batteries had not been charged. Because we were coming to pick it up, I called and asked that the remaining work be completed as soon as possible. When we arrived, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the repairs. The under-cover repair consisted of a piece of black sheet metal being placed over the area without properly removing the old material. There were still wires hanging from the old tire, and the new piece wasn't even completely secured. The fender had never been ordered, and we were then told that it wasn't currently being manufactured and would take approximately three weeks to obtain. The batteries were still dead, meaning the battery shutoff installation didn't accomplish anything because we couldn't even use the batteries. The spare tire was also left loose and dangling. I gave $1,000 in advance and specifically explained that it was intended to cover the four tires, replacement of the fender, installation of the battery shutoff, and repair of the under-cover. I also specifically said that if the cost was going to exceed that amount, I needed to be contacted first. Instead, I was charged $944.51 even though the fender was never repaired and several of the other repairs were either incomplete or not properly done. At this point, we're having to have things corrected at the last minute just so we can safely get the RV home, and we're going to have to jump the batteries because they weren't charged. I understand that things can happen and that parts can sometimes be unavailable. What I don't understand is being charged nearly the full $1,000 for work that was not completed or was not completed properly, without being notified about the problems beforehand. I would like to speak with someone about the $944.51 charge and what you believe is a fair adjustment considering the work that was not completed and the condition in which the completed work was left. We brought the RV here because of the history and trust my mom has had with your business. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged that trust.
