My concern with Yelp reviews is that the reviews currently showing for this business are from 2014, however, there are more current reviews that are not listed on this page. To see those you have to scroll down to see the "less relevant" reviews (as yelp refers to them) which are from 2017 & 2018. In my opinion, those reviews should be considered relevant. Yelp says this is determined by their algorithm (how many friends a reviewer has and how relevant they are considered), this does not seem fair to ANY business...and I do not think very many people are aware of this. Also thought it was worth mentioning that "QUICK COLLECT" is the process of taking a preparation fee from a refund, and is a process regulated by banks. One might assume it was as simple as "the owner changing his mind", however, the final decision falls on the bank itself. If there is any garnishment being taken from the refund (regardless of the amount) the company is not allowed to use quick collect. ***DO NOT USE BOB*** I've had swick tax complete my returns since I was 18 years old. 22 years later, Bob took over and is horrible at communication, filing on time and making you aware of fees/deadlines for business filings. Negligence has caused me to pay a tax for my business I didn't have to for two years. Laziness causes paperwork to filed late and fees to be assessed to me. I would not recommend swick tax anymore since Roger is gone, unfortunately. I'm very disappointed with Bob's performance and lack of effort. read more

I've been using Swick for roughly 10 years. In that time I've never had a problem with their services or staff. The tax preparers I've used have been extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me with an amendment due to a missed deduction from the year before I started using them (it was over $1k, I was not sad). They've even given good general advice (though nothing deep) whenever I've asked. They have even provided a few tips regarding impending life changes. So... I'd suggest giving them a shot. read more
