Shop replaced clutch plates, but the next time I rode the bike the clutch went out completely. Had it towed and returned to the shop. They repaired it again, no charge. A week or so later I left for the Canada trip. Clutch went out on me AGAIN in Soledad, CA on day one of the trip. Cost a pretty penny to get it in and out of a shop in Gilroy the next day. Brian said he would reimburse me. Long story short, he never did and I had to sue him. Won the suit, now I have to collect the money. Based on his previous actions, I'm guessing I will have to collect the judgment via a Writ of Execution.

I brought Mike a Pro R build with a list of parts and electrical work that took me 6+ weeks just to procure and gave me nightmares thinking about trying to install it. From a Switch Pro to multiple sets of lights, spare gas tank, particulate separator, ball joints, fire suppression, seats belts, roof liner, spare tire carrier, horn, gps, whip lights, fans, gauges, skid plates, radio, intercom, etc..... Mike methodically and painstakingly took his time to carefully map out/plan and install everything. His attention to detail is epic; service loops, Loctite, hand tapping/threading, wrapping of looms, loom runs, flush cutting zip ties, deburring edges and lining with rubber, custom fabrication, etc.. I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.
