It's been a few years, but I happened to be going through my records, and it made me angry all over again. I hired Miss Swift to help with my divorce. I paid her over $15,000.00. It was a complicated case since there was a corporation, a family business involved. Once I hired her, I never saw her again and worked with Mr. Azimi at the time. Swifts office allowed my ex-husband to terminate me from my own corporation. He cut my paycheck off ! Then he terminated my health insurance , but Swifts office had failed to notify me or give me copies of the two letters from my ex-husband's attorney. My ex-husband's attorney had notified Swifts office that they were terminating my health insurance and were offering a mediocre plan. I have many health issues, so this was very important for me. Swift's office 'never' notified me of the cancellation notices from my ex-husband's attorney. When I went back to the doctor, for a follow up to get my stitches out, they told me I had NO coverage. When I asked Miss Swift in an email, how did they drop the ball on something so important for me? My ex-husband and his attorney were laughing at us when Swift's office finally brought it to their attention...Months had passed. I emailed her because I could not get her on the phone or reply in a email. Instead, I got a reply with no good explanation from Mr. Azimi. The secretary called me to come in and pick up my files. Which I did. I didn't even get an explanation or an apology and no reimbursement. Beware of this attorney! read more

Ms. Swift charged me $65,000 and got absolutely nothing accomplished. She was retiring and failed to mention this to me. She pushed me off onto her "associate" saying that I hired her law firm and not her specifically (BAIT AND SWITCH, after I paid the retainer), charged me $415/hr for him and then charged me $450/hr to manage him.... seriously? $865/hr? My money went fast! She needed to soak all the monies she could get out of me to support all her husband's crazy projects in the desert before she retired, no one else would ever marry her, she needs to do whatever is possible to hang on to him. When I hired her, I stressed that there would be absolutely no more delays for my upcoming trial already in progress for 4 years. What did she do? Delayed my trial and by the time it came about, I was out of money and forced to represent myself, which obviously was not good. She intentionally ran me out of money then fired me because I ran out of money, claiming I was too difficult, because she does everything her way, not caring what the client wants. She had every intention to soak me from the beginning and then retire and was upset at my frustration with her controlling and super expensive changes. Now she is "Helping" people mitigate their divorces. I heard she was going to IVAMS in her retirement, I guess that didn't work out. One of my dearest friends warned me not to hire her, but I did. I did not listen to my good friend and I paid dearly for that. My friend told me that she charges a fortune and doesn't get anything actually done, as I found out, that could not be more truthful. She is self centered and does not care about her clients at all. Sadly, She doesn't listen to her clients either. I save the "C" word for special circumstances and she absolutely qualifies for the "C" word. DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN FOR ANYTHING. I wouldn't hire her to walk my dog. You will be broke and have nothing accomplished and be like me, taking out a HELOC against my home to pay for another attorney to actually get my issues resolved. I often check Yelp but do not usually submit reviews. But this is one case where I feel obliged to warn folks away. It has been a couple of years since my divorce was finalized and I have held back on writing a review in the hopes that my incredible disappointment with Pamela Swift and her associates would dissipate. It has not. Ms. Swift mishandled my case, overcharged me, and failed to help me obtain a fair and equitable divorce settlement. My ex-husband continues to take me to court so I have had the opportunity to experience another lawyer, who costs less (despite having a comparable hourly rate!) and gets better results. Pam was out ill for an extended time during my case and brought in one associate and then another. I ended up having to pay triple the attorney fees for several meetings because all three attorneys were present to combine their compartmentalized information on my case. Many times, it seemed like things were done in a way to deliberately increase the costs without regard to the end result. It was all incredibly inefficient and unjustifiably overpriced. There are many more details that I do not care to share but in the end, I was forced to sell our family home and from those proceeds, had to pay Swift and Associates over $85,000 for a divorce and custody settlement that is still causing strife. Pam is friendly and seems like she will help you. Her staff is incredibly kind and helpful. But, please, do not be fooled. This law firm is outrageously expensive and does not deliver. read more

All the time and money spend, for what? For nothing. And then she tells me after court..."go home and relax it just didn't go our way today".... B...h you didn't do crap for me!!!!! Glad this is "almost" over with. Divorce is the most painful thing today's families can go through. Had you of asked me over 10 years ago when this process first started, I would of told you that I wasn't going to make it through all of this. And I almost didn't. I will spare you the details. ;) I was working hard at a part-time retail job; trying to come to terms with my current situation. That's when I first met Pam. We instantly connected. She must of been able to see right through me and seen the pain. I could feel her concern for my situation. She handed me her business card (It was fancy). I thought to myself, "there is no way I could afford an attorney, especially one that appeared to be so genuine". The San Bernardino Courts seemed to be completely against me. I knew I needed help. I could not fight this battle alone. Afraid I was going to lose it all, I called Pam. She called me in for a consultation. I laid my entire story down. I could feel that Pam was; not "on my side" but, BY my side. Does that make sense? She didn't tell me how right I was and how terrible the father was and so on. Pam wanted to make it right for all involved. She more than understood my financial situation and offered to come to my hearing for a onetime fee. I was ever so thankful. Court that day didn't go so well. The father fought me tooth and nail. Everything I said, he stated the opposite. Pam then asked to judge to have a recess. To my surprise, she pulled the father and I into a separate room and began to mediate the situation. She found a balanced and fair solution for the visitation schedule. She, by no means had to do this for either one of us. She was 100% for equality. We sat down afterwards where she explained everything thoroughly with great patience. Unfortunately, my battle was not over. It continued on and off for over 10 years. I didn't win every argument. Pam and her office sat by my side through it all. She kept her advice and direction HONEST and FAIR. Pam offered her entire office to assist me in every way. I always felt that I was their every case. From Janet the receptionist to Kimm and Lyndi in billing, this office is incredible. Above all and deserving of her very own personal review; Evelyn is a paralegal at the law office. Her years of experience and passion for people allows her go above and beyond for your every need. Evelyn has and continues to exceed all expectations. She has not only held my hand through this entire process but, she also held my head up with encouragement time after time again. She was there where and when I needed it most. I hired Ms. Swift as my divorce attorney. Ms. Swift and her office have outstanding and prompt communication. Documents prepared correctly the first time so there are not revision costs. All attorney fees are very expensive. My only recommendation is that families workout the division of property among themselves and then hire one attorney to take care of all the legal documents. In the end, both parties have to agree on a final judgment. It doesn't take two attorney's to make it happen. Would I recommend this firm? Yes, definitely. read more

Legal matters are not pretty, but politeness, support, and an attorney on your "team" can make it more tolerable. The attorney I hired in this office LET ME DOWN repeatedly. Pamela, the owner, was very fair and listened and tried to make it better for me. I do appreciate that she stepped in and tried to rectify matters. I recently had to contact this office over an invoice that was sent to my previous address. I sat down with my paralegal and the new accounts receivable person, which was on their lunch time, to go over my charges from the 4/14 re-negotiation of spousal support. They were as surprised as I was that there were errors from the prior A/R person. After reviewing the charges they were properly reduced considerably. This firm will fool you with false hopes & ideas about what they can do for you. They will charge lots of high dollar fees, but do not follow through with completing work in a timely manner. They ask for court extensions, and continuances because they are not prepared for court appearances. This requires the filing of more paperwork which is costly, and not in the clients best interest. There are too many paralegals working the cases and they have full case loads so they are never familiar with your case. Calls go unreturned, and promised deadlines unmet. You can get better service and representation somewhere else. Not a quality firm. read more

We hired Pam back in 2015 for a establish paternity/ child custody case. Although the staff was extremely friendly, they are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE for average work. Responses are quick but we personally got the feeling that Pam was prolonging the case as well. We don't consider her an aggressive attorney. I am an attorney, and my spouse and I retained Ms. Swift to refine an already-existing marital contract believing Swift had the experience to perform the work competently. She was polite and looked good "on paper," and days after we met she quickly billed us a great sum of money and claimed they were "almost done" with the work. We paid the bill promptly. Our finances were in flux, so we did not contact her for several weeks, so instead her office called us then billed us for that call (!). Swift tried to set up another meeting with us, which we viewed as a clear billing opportunity for her, as we were clear, we first needed to have our pending real property transactions resolve before we could finalize the contract. Suspicious about Swift's office billing us for the call they made to us, and their claim regarding how quickly they were "almost done" with our work justifying a large bill, we asked for a copy of the work they did thus far. However, Swift refused to provide a copy of the draft of the document that we paid well over $1,000 for. We concluded she was either lying about doing the work, or knew the work was substandard, but wanted to bill us anyway. We could not get her to cough up any work product. Therefore, we had to resort to terminating her employment per CA Bar rules, to get her to cough up our file. It turns out she had attorney Patrick Rogers work on our contract. The product her office produced was absolutely ridiculous, a copy of a contract clearly simply cut and pasted from a law book that provided sample forms. I told her the product was farther away from our initial draft of the marital contract, and was willy nilly, as if they used someone else's agreement and slapped our names on it. We insisted she refund our money, as we obtained absolutely no value for her services. She must have finally read what Patrick gave us, as she agreed to consider our request. Ultimately, however, she refused to return any funds, then lied, falsely claiming we "refused" to meet with her to simply clarify issues and finalize the draft of the contract. We had already conveyed to her what our wishes were when we first met with her, so that was a bold faced lie. To obtain relief, we contacted the local State Bar, to arrange for arbitration regarding our fee dispute. Not surprisingly, once we mentioned Pamela Swift's name, the local Bar representative told us they were very familiar with Ms. Swift, as other clients had to seek relief through the Bar for refunds! At arbitration, we had a local lawyer who donated her time, which sounds nice, but she was clearly biased an incompetent. In the hearing, Mr. Rogers testified and he admitted he simply used a sample draft of a marital agreement to produce the "work" they billed us for, instead of working with our already-existing draft that was nearly correct. Mr. Rogers and Ms. Swift admitted they did not communicate with us to resolve any questions before allegedly doing the "work" and billing us (by the way, we totally believe they did NO work and billed us then panicked when we asked for it). Ms. Swift testified and again promoted the lie that we refused to meet with her, as the explanation for their not quite done shoddy product. The attorney conducting the arbitration was clearly not impressed with Ms. Swift billing us but not contacting us to clarify any questions, but she too was a sole practitioner attorney (like Ms. Swift) and was evidently too impressed with Ms. Swift's seemingly "nice" demeanor to require full reimbursement. In the end we obtained only about a 50% refund, which is absolutely ridiculous as the contract Swift's firm provided was not worth the paper it was written upon. Again, we hired Ms. Swift to simply refine our original draft, and reflect our intentions on a new draft, which she at least should have known, as we met with her and told her. As one example of many, we were clear we wanted the contract to provide for one another in the event of either of our demise, but their contract waived all rights to assets! It was ridiculous. What a waste of time, energy and money. My advice, run far far away from this firm. They may present as "nice" but they will shamelessly try to drum up business, take no responsibility for shoddy product, and seem only focused on creating billing opportunities to line their pockets. read more
