Watch out for labor costs!! Had Swift out for a tub/shower valve install and moving some sink plumbing as part of a bathroom update. The two guys, a plumber and an apprentice, were prompt, professional, and as far as I can tell did good work. They stuck it out for a long day too.No complaints about their work! Then I got the bill... over $4,000 with tax for a day's work for which I supplied the materials. I called Swift, thinking there must be a mistake, but was told that they charge $400/hour for time. Note that's for one plumber, the apprentice is free of charge. $400/hr for real??? We will be having the trim done by a different company. End of relationship. read more

If you have heating plant issues, pass these guys by. Was referred to them by my usual service company as their tech had passed away. Had to make an appointment two weeks out; when the tech arrived and opened up my boiler it was clear he was unfamiliar with it, even to the point of having to call the manufacturer. (He was put on hold for nearly half an hour, for which I was no doubt charged. I say 'no doubt', as when the bill arrived it was not itemized, as nearly any other business would do. No hourly rate, no price for parts, no travel time. Just an obscene amount for a small part and about two hours labor. When I called the company I was told "that's just the way we do it." Good advice...stay away from these folks. Just finished speaking with Brad, manager, who essentially told me Swift was not going to be responsible for a failed freeze free hot/cold exterior hose bib they installed for me back in Feb of 2020. The unit they installed was of sub-standard quality and on top of that, it was installed incorrectly. That's why it froze and burst. Brad says he will not accept responsibility for improper installation and in so many words...told me to 'get lost'. This guy is a real peach when it comes to rude and being disrespectful to customers. Keep in mind, I spent thousands of dollars with these folks over the years...and that doesn't seem to mean anything to Brad. Needless to say, I will never call them again. After I mentioned the same to Brad, his response was a 'smarmy' so what and so long. Whatever happened to respectful business representatives who actually accepted responsibility and are willing to be held accountable? You won't find any such thing here. We had a few gas leaks in our water heater and also our fireplace and I had asked for a recommendation for a good plumbing service. A lot of people had recommended Swift Plumbing and Heating. I actually first contacted them on Facebook and Corina had responded very swiftly. She gave me all the information I needed and when I called to schedule she was nothing short of amazing when it came to customer service. She was so nice and understanding of my lack of plumbing knowledge when trying to schedule this appointment. Trever and Cody were the plumbers that they sent and they were amazing. Super professional, they even took off their shoes when coming into the house, which they didn't have to do! My two year old was there with me and Trever kept talking to her and making conversation with her, which she appreciated! She kept asking if they had fixed her bath (we had no hot water temporarily ) and he happily was able to tell her that they had fixed it! She was so excited. If I could give them negative stars I would. We had a leak coming from upstairs - Swift came out 3 different times only to NEVER diagnose problem. The last time we had them come out they tore a huge hole in our downstairs bathroom ceiling and said they couldn't go any further because there was mold. They said Servpro would have to come out and remediate the mold. Then sense they couldn't go farther downstairs they went upstairs and ripped toilet out, cut a big hole in drywall and couldn't find anything. They left my house a mess, left toilet laying on floor and said guess I will have to go to hotel. We called Servpro - they came out and said there was NO mold!!! They methodically looked at water trail and asked if Swift ever took kickplate off dishwasher because they were pretty sure that was where the water was coming from (this from Servpro who are not plumbers but we're smarter than Swift). So we call Swift back and told them what Servpro said - they were very rude this time so we told them forget it and we would find another plumber. So after all that we called Ricks Plumbing in Suquamish and bam he came out immediately and fixed the problem - supply line to dishwasher. He was shocked that Swift could not figure it out and was also shocked how swift left the toilet on floor in bathroom. Rick was great and he gets 5 stars. We had some plumbing work that needed to be done on an older home we had purchased--nothing too exciting or complicated, (leaky faucets, removal of toilets, new shower heads/bath kit). We were not given an estimate of the work costs initially and, given the straightforward nature of the items on the list, I wasn't expecting it to be too much. Imagine my surprise when we opened an email to find a bill for almost $2000! According to the owner, that was the "cost" of the work done. In all fairness, he discounted our bill about 15%, and apologized that we hadn't received a quote in advance. (Needless to say, if we had been quoted that much, we would have contacted another company!) We've now moved into the house and have discovered that the new bath kit that was installed is loose and falling out of the wall and a shower head they installed doesn't work. Great... now we have to call another plumber out to fix their work. We'll definitely be looking for one that is a bit more reasonable and upfront! Also, of note, there were scheduling issues and I ended up waiting at the property one day for them to arrive, almost three hours late... Yikes! All of that being said, they escaped a one star review because they did work with us a little, and the plumber they sent was a really sweet and kind young man. Thursday, August 13, I contacted Swift plumbing to unclog my kitchen sink. They quoted Monday, but the next day, Friday, they had a cancellation. Errol and Dan showed up about 11 AM, looked at the job, fetched their equipment, did the job, and were on their way to the next job in about 15 minutes. I gave them five stars in this review because they were quick, knowledgeable, clean, and efficient and the price was very acceptable. I'd earlier called another service but they wanted $300, far more than I thought reasonable or could afford for what I knew to be a simple straight-forward drain cleaning and declined. I called several other services who were non-commital about pricing. Swift Plumbing and Heating were also cagey but promised they "would work with" me and they did. For that reason, I would recommend Swift Plumbing and Heating to anyone with clogged drains and a limited budget. read more

Total price (tax inc) $285.93. Reasonable, good work. Called Swift again for small shower drain leak 10/3/17. I had opened ceiling below to verify. Two men, exactly 45 min into and out of driveway. One brass drain fitting and approx 6" of PVC, small amount of silicone. Total price (tax inc) $541.64, non-itemized bill. YIKES! By any calculation of parts, basic labor and overhead that was unreal ! Suggest get itemized estimate from them prior to commencing any work. read more

Another great experience with Swift Plumbing today. I have been doing business with these folks since 2003. Today I was having my hot water heater replaced. Josh and Isaih arrived right on time, right after 8 a.m. They were wearing their company uniforms, had foot covers, laid down runners to protect my floors and got right to work. They were very friendly and nice. The project finished at about 11 a.m. as projected. After they were gone, I went to the work area to clean up only to find that they had completely vacuumed and cleaned the area already. Nothing for me to do. This was another example of Swift's commitment to great work for a fair price. They obviously are particular about their technicians, these guys were great and treated me and my home with respect. Two years ago we had Swift come to clear a pretty bad sink/tub clog that another plumbing company couldn't clear. The tech was very friendly, professional, and cleared it. The fee was reasonable too. Two years ago I would've given them 5 stars. When we had another tub clog (old plumbing) this month we didn't hesitate to call them again, scheduled an appt for a few days later, soonest they could come out, which was fine. Tech came out (friendly and in and out in 25 minutes) cleared the clog with his electric coil/snake tool and went on his merry way. Then we get the bill for $275 before tax! I spoke with Brad from Swift who informed me that this is their flat rate for clearing clogs. He did give me a one-time discounted rate of $175 as the tech neglected to inform me of the fee, which is a big help -but still, how can we possibly use them again in the future? read more

I made an appointment with Swift to come take a look at a clogged drain at a rental. 30 minutes later they called the tenant and postponed the appointment for 2 day later than the original appointment. This is a one bedroom house mind you. When they arrived for the appointment that they postponed they did nothing and called to tell me that they did not have the equipment to fix the problem. They even charged me a fee for showing up to tell me that they couldn't fix the problem without even attempting to fix the issue. I called another plumbing repair company and they were out later on that same day. It ended up being an easy fix. Too bad I waisted 2 days on Swift. Done use this company. Started a Yelp account just to leave this review. Can't say enough good things about Swift. Recently bought our first house and last week found we had a leak from behind our shower wall going down into the crawl space. We were nervous about hiring a plumber because of the cost. I emailed Swift to schedule an estimate and received a call back within minutes. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and accommodating to our schedule. Steve came out to do an estimate, free of charge! After searching around for the problem, he informed me that he believed he would be able to fix the leak that day, as oppose to scheduling out later that week. (and in the meantime having no shower!) We were concerned that to reach the leak we would have to have a hole put in the wall but Steve took the time to find a better option. He was extremely helpful, personable and talked me through everything he was doing. The work was quick and he even caulked all of our shower fixtures before he left. (something we simply hadn't gotten around to yet) The price was a fraction of what we expected/feared and we couldn't be happier with the result. The leak is fixed and we will definitely use Swift again in the future, as well as refer them to our friends and family. read more
