We recently completed the 5 week Swim Kids course with Madeleine as our coach. Madeleine was FANTASTIC with our 2 year old daughter! Soft spoken, VERY encouraging, kind and patient. She taught our daughter some amazing words of encouragement that we used to hype her up and get her excited for each class. We continue to use the phrases now with our "every day" tasks and accomplishments! I will say, the first week was rough - our daughter was frustrated, nervous and very tired by the end of each 10 minute class. That definitely weighs heavily on you as a parent, wondering if this was the right choice. BUT...by week two she was so excited, shouting those words of encouragement as she was laying back into her floats and by the end of the 5 weeks her confidence in the water was a true tell tale sign that we made the right choice. We are already missing our daily outings to the pool and can't wait to continue her skills on our own time. We are so happy with our choice to put our kids in lessons with swim kids!! was so relieved when Ms Holly contacted us after being on the wait list for a few months as had heard AMAZING things about her and her program. Holly is truly an incredible swim teacher and she made our kids become fast learners in the pool, she is amazing with littles and makes them feel so calm and safe! We are blown away by our kids ( 3 and 5 ) progress in as little as 5 weeks and know this could not have been accomplished at any other traditional swim lessons. Our kids were so excited to get back in the pool with Ms Holly everyday and they really had so much fun with her. Their secret handshake was a highlight! "High five, potato, French fries!" If you're looking for "real" swimming lessons for your young children, you have to book with Holly at Swim Kids Calgary! She is truly amazing. Her approach and style is incredible to watch as she teaches your child water safety and recovery. With 5+ weeks of lessons your child will actually submerge under water, find the surface, float unassisted, roll over in the water, learn breath control and how to find the edge of the pool among other skills. Holly is so patient and kind, and my kids looked forward to their daily lessons with her because she makes it fun. We had tried other swim classes and schools and, believe me when I say, your child will actually come out of Holly's lessons mastering the basics of survival swimming and floating with confidence. And bonus...Holly will also teach parents how to properly swim with their young children based on what she has taught them. Thank you, Holly!!!! I can't say enough good about this program. We were taught by Sabrina, My daughter 26 months old entered the course. We had some experience with water giving her some confidence but that's 10 fold now. Sabrina is very good at what she does, incredibly knowledgeable, she's builds trust quickly with her students and is genuinely caring. My daughter had a few reservations but they passed quickly as Sabrina built trust within the first few classes. She was adaptable to our daughters skills and needs. The course is very effective. I now have confidence that my daughter knows what needs to be done in the event that she is alone or out of arms reach in the water. The course is a huge time commitment but the results are worth it. I hope that you read this review and rest assured your money and time will give you that peace of mind. It's been said too that learning physical skills also helps mental development. I can't say enough amazing things about Holly and her program! It is SO worth the investment! Holly's lessons are superior to all other swimming lessons we have tried, as she teaches the kids survival skills (surfacing after being submerged, holding a float, gliding to edge of pool themselves) and real swimming, as opposed to learning how to blow bubbles and dunk their heads under water. Both of my boys (ages 3yrs and 22 months) went from not wanting to get their ears wet, to being able to float unassisted for a full minute at then end of their month with Holly! Holly truly teaches water survival skills, and I feel so much more comfortable taking them around water now that they have learned these skills. She is so patient and treats each kid as if they were her own. Holly caters each lesson to the individual child and where their abilities are at on that given day. I can't say enough about Holly. As a pool owner in a lake community I am so much more at ease with my two littles from the skills they gained. I had my eldest in 2 different swimming lessons prior (group and semi-private) and his float was never removed while the instructors focused more on strokes. I enrolled my younger daughter at the same time with Holly (2 years old at the time) and she went from an absolute fear of water to swimming before her 5 year old brother! I ended up enrolling him after the fact and I wished I had known about Holly sooner! They absolutely love the water and know how to stay safe as well! I learned a lot from Holly as well and am able to keep the skills strong. Hands down the best decision for our family! read more

We cannot recommend this program enough! When our son started, he absolutely hated swimming and didn't even like getting his toes wet. After just a few weeks, he's now asking to go swimming and is so confident in the water. The progress has been incredible, but what stood out even more was the patience, care, and encouragement shown every step of the way. Every lesson was fun, positive, and focused on building confidence while teaching important water safety skills. Best money you will ever spend! we had such an incredible experience with Both Sabrina and Holly and couldn't even have asked for more. Our little one excelled so quickly and surprised us daily with his skills in the water. From being fearful and emotional day 1 and 2, to being confident and loving the pool by the end of our sessions. Swim Kids has given our child confidence in the water and given us more peace of mind. We did the introductory lessons with our 2 year-old and it was worth every penny. It was definitely TOUGH but our son went from not loving water/going under/floating to absolutely dominating his fears, jumping off diving boards, and wanting to practice all his new skills, all the time! My 4 year old daughter took classes with Miss Madeleine early in 2023. I am amazed on how quickly she learned the swimming survival skills and how much fun she had at the same time. She absolutely loved Miss Madeleine, who is very pleasant and gentle and has a truly caring, professional, and positive teaching style, she was just amazing with my daughter, always providing positive reinforcement and encouragement, being very patient and supportive and also making sure that my daughter had fun. We were very happy with the lessons and everything that our daughter (2.5 yrs) got out of it. She gained a ton of confidence in the water and a lot of new skills. As parents we are more comfortable going swimming with her and it has made the pool more enjoyable. Miss Madeleine was a great instructor to our daughter and was effective at communicating with us. She did an Amazing job dealing with a temperamental 2.5 year old. I would highly recommend this program for anyone who swims with their kids. We were on the fence to do Swim Kids with our first then with both our kids due to time and cost BUT we finally took the leap and I am SO glad we did. The program is very cool and the strides our kids made in 5 weeks was amazing. Danielle was just the best and we are going to miss seeing her all the time. Our daughter finished her first 6 weeks of swim lessons at the beginning of 2020 at 2 years of age. The skills she required during that time were incredible - all thanks to her amazing teacher Holly. Holly has so much patience and encouragement for the little ones, it's quite remarkable. Due to covid and having no pools available, our daughter suddenly was scared of water when it opened up again. This was by far the best swimming instructions we have ever done. Our 4.5 year old learned how to swim, float and have confidence in the water in 5 weeks! Holly is an amazing instructor who I felt comfortable with 100 per cent of the time. I would recommend this swimming program to everyone! Sabrina is the best when it comes to picking an instructor. Rynelle is shy and didn't want to do much with strangers but through out her first lessons to her refresher course with Sabrina she has become more confident as the day goes by and amazing swimmer I will recommend Sabrina for all parents. We had a truly incredible experience with Swim Kids and Miss Madeleine. She was loving, kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and we could not have asked for a better teacher for our daughter. She started her lessons at 10.5 months and it was remarkable to see her process over the 6 week program.
