Daniel was fine at first, but after 3 weeks of servicing pool, things got weird. Without asking he rebuilt the Polaris saying the wheel was sticking, and asked for $200. When asking why he didn't consult me first, he became angry. He acted like I had no right to ask this. After a couple of days, I texted him to set a boundary. I said that from this point forward, I need him to get permission from me for any repairs BEFORE doing any work, and that I want this done in writing via text or otherwise. He didn't respond to my text, and came back furious the following Thursday. He made me nervous, even afraid. I should have told him to leave my property, but he was finishing a safety issue he was supposed to do during week 1, so I let him finish. He didn't service the pool. But after he left, the new pump he had installed failed and 2 pool specialists told me someone had wired something backwards. I should have demanded him to leave when he couldnt control his anger like that. And, he knew I was in mourning because my mother had recently passed. I can't figure all this out. He seemed like a nice man. Perhaps he only acts this way with women that he thinks will not know any better. read more

At first I loved Daniel. He was super responsive and I chalked all the other negative reviews up to super demanding customers with too high of expectations. Over time his responsiveness dwindled, he gave us misinformation that caused our pool pipes to freeze and burst during last year's winter storm and another time he left our hose on after servicing our pool and we didn't catch it until 4 hours later - wasting thousands of gallons of water. Not the same person for everyone. Doesn't show up when he says he will. I've waited on him for hours twice and he didn't show up or call! Doesn' respond to his text messages. When I finally got him to pick up the phone, he said oh I got you mixed up with someone else but still didn't offer to help. Got upset and over quoted and walked off, leaving the customer with a problem. Like the pool light bulb went out and said the whole fixture would need to be replaced for over 300! I said thats high, immed. Walks off in seconds! I called the very next week for help because pool would not prime. Texted he's coming in one hour. I waited 3 hours! Nothing. He ignored my texts until later that day when I texted him that I no longer needed his services. I could sense that he thought it was funny. I called another guy off yelp who had great reviews, 5 stars from EVERYONE and I was shocked when he answered the phone. We used him last summer once but when my husband passed away 2 months ago, he has treated me and my family like dirt. My family are good christian people in a middle class neighborhood, so I dont know why. We are already grieving but he doesn't care one bit. I rather pay someone from Plano than except this mean treatment. read more

For the last 4 months, Daniel has made our pool a gleaming, beautiful part of our home. He did this by getting the water chemistry right, and he explained it to us in a way that makes sense. For the previous 5 years, and several Pool services, we've worried about when the algae would start. And it always did. Most recently, for the whole summer, we battled black algae. If you've had black algae, it'll make you want to fill in your pool it's so bad.
