The previous owners of our home did not care for the pool, so after many years of trying to find the right person for the job, we thought Ryan would be our savior; boy, were we wrong. Things started off great! My husband found him on YELP with a high 4-star rating back in December 2024. Ryan was eager and appeared excited to bring our pool back to life. Ryan and Team started working on our pool February 2025. I mean, this guy is over communicating at this point. Keeping us updated on when they were coming out to the house and what materials were being purchased & so forth. We were indeed pleased. Our first biggest mistake, we paid him in full in April 2025. Ryan immediately stopped accepting our calls and stopped replying to text messages. We were out of $12,000! Thank the Lord we paid with a CC, so we took it up with our bank, but it wasn't easy. In June 2025, we were told by our bank that Ryan submitted pictures of a completed pool---claiming it was OUR pool. As a result, the ruling was ruled in Ryan's favor, not ours. We were in complete shock; utter devastation. FULL TRANSPARANCY POST NEXT: The stress was unimaginable. I stopped eating, my hair began to fall out, and I was so filled with anxiety, I could barely work. Texas Native Aquatics put such a severe strain on our lives, but my hurt turned into anger, AND WE FOUGHT BACK. We were not going to accept this! We took even more photos and gathered even more text messages to prove our case. It took hours upon hours to put the evidence together, but the hard work paid off. The claim was reopened and TODAY, the bank ruled in our favor. Today is September 16, 2025, and our pool is still unusable. It's been drained for 7 months---which can lead to more serious issues. We've declined hosting family events, friend get-togethers and birthday parties for our nephews all due to our pool condition and the pain/suffering Ryan Williams has caused. Feel free to visit his google and yelp page---as you can see, we are not the first to write about being taken advantage of. And as of recently, his ratings have declined. I am truly fearful for this guy because if he continues this type of practice, then he might end up working for the wrong client and he will be out a lot more than he is now. We ended up closing our pool down earlier than we wanted and after taking the cover off a month ago we were greeted with a filthy, green mess. It wasn't easy as the first trip out he spent the better part of the day dissembling and completely cleaning out the pool equipment. There were clogs in several areas from leaves that had blown into the pool and the motor was not running efficiently to move water. In just a few weeks Stefin with Near Southside Pools has the water clear again. Against my better judgement (only because the water was still cold) my son was in the pool this last weekend. Really looking forward to the summer where where will be able to just enjoy the pool and not have to worry about the maintenance.

Watching the pump, filter and everything working perfectly for at least 5 minutes I went in the house because the tech had not brought the vac. to do the pool. 1/2 hour later I realized he was still here and went out to see what was going on. . Within seconds the Jandy valve burst spewing water. He had one in the truck. When the Jandy was replaced all of a sudden the pump was leaking. When the pump was fixed 2 days later all of a sudden the heater was also leaking. Everything had been purring like a kitten and now everything had a leak, even the pressure valve on top of the filter. I have nothing else to say.

The part cost $50 on Amazon AND it took me less than two minutes to replace it! Filter must be cleaned -- $150 -- The pressure gauge wasn't even reading 15 PSI. I cleaned it myself but it didn't need it. Your auto chlorinator is not dissolving the tabs. It needs an evaluation. They want to charge additional fees to see if there is something wrong with it! Chlorine levels are high. WTFF? They say they vacuum every time they come out. Their vacuum is battery operated with a netted BAG! Same thing as the Polaris - it picks up leaves but sprays the dust up into the water for the filter to pick up and leaves your water cloudy (they should be using a hose that connects to the filter).

I'm aware of several other customers in the same situation....pool started but incomplete with no plumbing, electrical or pool equipment being delivered. This is theft and being pursued through law enforcement and court proceedings. My best advice to anyone looking for a pool vendor, stay clear of Ray Lozano and Omni Pools/Kalcon Projects of Benbrook, TX. He will spend your money elsewhere and will NOT finish the job. Fraud!

I have repeatedly tried to engage Ray to complete the work but haven't heard from him in weeks (which is normal). It took a letter from our association to get Kalcon and Omni Pools to remove all their construction debris from our yard which literally sat there for several months. Buyer be very aware, I have found Kalcon and Omni pools to be dishonest and very willing to take money without performing the services promised.
