I took my engagement ring into The Golden Butterfly to have it resized as it was just a little small for my fiancé. During inspection the jeweler told me she could not resize the ring due to it not having a karat stamp that all gold needed by law. I was unaware of this but knew that it was genuine gold so I presented the form the ring maker gave me to show it was 14k gold. She still refused and told me "I might want to consider getting my money back" which I still consider to be a very rude comment. After leaving feeling crushed I contacted the ring maker and they were very professional and sent me pictures of how a ring stamp should look and guaranteed me that my ring had did in fact have a karat stamp. I immediately saw how large these stamps are and took out the ring to find out for myself. Low and behold I found the karat stamp immediately. The woman at The Golden Butterfly had magnified lenses during the inspection of the ring and yet she couldn't find the stamp that I found immediately. Furthermore implying that I had purchased a fake ring is just the icing on the cake. I am very displeased with the service I was provided and will not return to The Golden Butterfly.
