My husband and I had a few projects we needed done to start to baby proof our house. Our stairs were not child friendly, we had a lofted master bedroom that we needed closed in and the basement did not offer much privacy or soundproofing. Ben came in and worked on a design for us that matched the style of our home to the tee, people who had seen our home before forgot what it looked like before because it blended in so well. Ben worked with us to make all the design decision, he did not pressure is by any means to go one way or another (or even give him the job). Once the work began, his team worked quickly and diligently to complete it. They were careful to protect our floors and furniture from any dust or damage. They also made sure to clean up after themselves at the end of each day so we did not feel like we were living in a construction zone. His team was polite and gracious while here. Last year we purchased a 15 year old house in Uxbridge that was in need of a total kitchen upgrade. As we were new to the area we interviewed a couple of contractors, did our research, and choose Swiss Appeal to handle all aspects of the project from design, demolition and eventual installation. I dont know where I would be without the help of Ben , owner and contractor of Swiss Appeal My project was unique, involving structural engineer and past negative experiences with contractors. I was trying to complete a complicated project my husband had begun before he passed away, so it was emotionally challenging as well. Ben was initially hired to complete the structural changes needed , dealing with building dept and engineer. This work was quickly completed and done to perfection , as it needed to be . I then made the decision to complete the project istead of trying to subcontract , taking out a home equity loan and hiring Ben . He took the responsibility off my shoulders and many times assured me that he would make sure things were done and issues were resolved. He was true to his word, and I never felt that alone throughout the entire process. The house is completed and it came out amazing. This was a total gutted building , brought up to code, and finished beyond what I could have hoped for, and right in line with what he knew my budget could afford.
