Uninhabitable rooms during a heat wave. Staff refused to help. Avoid.
Stayed June 2026 -- group of 40 guests
Do not stay here during warm weather. We are a group of 40 guests on a Veena World tour. Europe has been in a documented Saharan heat wave for five days. Our rooms had no air conditioning -- just one small table fan per room, which couldn't even reach all sleeping areas in a room with two or three people. Room temperatures were close to 35-40°C. We could not sleep. Some guests were considering sleeping in the lobby because the rooms were that unbearable.
We went to the front des. The staff member's response was shocking." He said it wasn't his problem to solve. When we pointed out that several of our guests are elderly and that this was a health emergency, he dismissed it. When we asked him to call the director or a manager, he flatly refused -- "I cannot call the director." He then tried to make us feel unreasonable by saying five other groups were staying and "only you cannot sleep."
Five days of heat wave, five days of zero action by this hotel. They knew. They chose to do nothing.
We paid good money for this accommodation. We got an oven with a fan and a shrug. One of the worst hospitality experiences of our lives. read more
