What a darling little store with absolutely everything you need. I love how things were grouped in little areas so you could literally just walk right up and grab everything you needed. Halloween party - that's a station. Tailgate - that's a station. Highland Park Homecoming, cocktail party, wine and cheese theme -- you got it, station! So smart. I was able to walk up to the "Tween" section and grab all the fixings for a super cute birthday gift for a 9 year old in two shakes. Excellent customer service as they also wrapped it for me so quickly, and had me in and out before my kids woke up from their car nap. It was a good thing I was in a hurry, or I could have spent like $1,000 in there in an hour or so. I'm happy to report I did not spend $1,000 at a gift shop in an hour - as evidenced by the fact my marriage remains intact. I will totally be back as I am in the area several times a year to see family and never want to show up empty handed.

    Great seasonal selection!

I like to come into the store just to look around for either inspiration or to buy things I don't need an absolutely have to have. They have great party supplies for the up most southern hostess with the mostest. They also have great back to school things for your 5th grader to your college gear. They have a great staff that is willing to help you personalize or order anything to personalize for different events. It also is a great place to stop in for seasonal decorations.

Stace has been a great help when I've needed some last minute gifts this year. She helped me curate two perfect gift bags at short notice.

Lots of cool, shiny stuff to distract one's self with in here! This would be a great place to find birthday gifts and party decor.

We started at the near the top floor, by seeing the dinosaur skeletons and learning about fossils. And then we went to the bird area. My kids liked getting to go to the different kiosks to make their dream bird, as well as the bird flight simulator. I very much enjoyed the gem and minerals hall. Every 80s kid had a rock collection when they were growing up -- right??? Well, if you're part of that group, this area is for you. I loved seeing the different gems as well as the giant amethyst geode. This museum has a lot to explore. A lot of it is reading and screen based, though there were enough interactive exhibits mixed in to keep my kids entertained and learning. We would definitely come back!

The Dallas Art Museum is free for most of the museum, with special exhibits costing extra, but honestly there is plenty to see without spending a dime. They have Renoirs, Picassos, Monets, and so much more. The bathrooms are surprisingly very nice, the AC was absolutely on point, and it was not crowded when we visited. A perfect spot to get a little culture in between meals. Honestly, a must hit for out of town visitors looking for something fun to do that does not involve eating. Be sure to hit the gift store too, a museum gift shop is usually well curated, and this one is no exception! (though I will say the lady working the store had a sh:tty attitude)

The DMA has a supporter membership for $120. It includes parking which would cost you $20 otherwise. You also get two free admission tickets that you can use to view the museum's collections or any special exhibitions each and every day of the year. The membership will also provide a discount at the museum store and in the snack bar. Visit twice during the year, and the membership more than pays for itself. You can buy your membership online, print the receipt, and show it for free parking. Once inside the venue, show the receipt at the check-in desk to get your free tickets to the special exhibit(s). Your DMA cards will be mailed to you in four weeks, in the mean time, use that printed receipt for everything. We renewed our membership this weekend April 2026 and went to see the Samurai Collection. Metalwork is not a favorite of mine, but I was still fascinated by the stories presented on the placards throughout the exhibit and I certainly appreciated the beautiful, intricate craftsmanship presented in each piece. I didn't realize that the Samurai swords and armor had been banned from production in Japan, so the metal workers pivoted and learned to become artisans. They started to make and repair metal embellishments, lanterns, and incense burners for the numerous temples in the country. Many of the items in this collection were from Kyoto and Nara, both places my husband and I visited in November 2009. The full body armor was fascinating. Little pieces of leather were coated in metal, painted, and woven tightly together to form a moveable, but protective layer over the body. The workmanship was exquisite. The exhibit had a few short videos you could watch to learn about the work. I especially liked the 30 second clip about the process of making cloisonné. These vases are beautiful and the process to make each one is detailed and meticulous. Kids could collect a postcard-sized scavenger hunt near the entrance and use that to stay in engaged throughout the visit. At the end, there was a sign on the wall with the answer key pictures showing which art pieces help the intricate designs they were looking for. The DMA has a permanent collection that includes a variety of art from around the globe, as well as multiple special exhibits throughout the year. Everyone is bound to find something that delights them and inspires conversation and wonder. Worth a visit!

We also went there on June 25 and June 27, a few minutes before matches Japan vs Sweden, and Argentina vs Jordan. We were looking for "last minute reasonable priced Tickets." Nothing was showed up on June 25. And on June 27, we only saw a few fans asking for tickets by holding small cardboards. Nobody were selling any tickets on site. I was charged a significant amount for food that was never delivered. After the event, I sent multiple emails and received no response. The only way I was able to recover my money was by disputing the charge through my credit card company. Before leaving the stadium, I went to Customer Service to try to resolve the issue. I have a broken foot, so making the trip across the stadium was painful and inconvenient, but I wanted to give them the opportunity to help. Instead, I was told it was a "known issue." The staff seemed completely uninterested in resolving the problem, offered no meaningful assistance, and no one even apologized. It's hard to understand how a venue hosting one of the world's premier sporting events can provide such poor customer service. My first World Cup experience should have been memorable for the match itself, not for spending weeks trying to recover money for food I never received. Very disappointing.

I didn't go for a game, just wandered through, but even without a crowd it had that big Texas energy. The architecture is part ballpark, part modern facelift, and part "we're figuring it out as we go." I kind of loved it. It was quiet the day I visited, but the views were wide open and the breeze rolled through like it had season tickets.
