We have bi-weekly mowing done as we bought a house several months ago and haven't moved in yet. It is no nice to rely on Jason to take care of the yard when he says he will. He also removed some old shrubs in front of our house and it has transformed our front yard. Now we are planning landscaping/planting to beautiful the front on the yard (hopefully again with the assistance of Mow 'n Goers Crew). Project: Remodel or Convert an Attic What a mistake we made…read moreputting our trust in Total Home Solutions of NY, LLC (THS). Never in all of my years of working with contractors have I had such an unfortunate experience. Work began on our house without proper permitting and without a certificate of insurance- both required by law. Work completed did not meet code as determined by both a licensed architect and the local town code enforcement officer. The code officer outlined the steps necessary to make our house a legally inhabitable space, but THS failed to assume full financial responsibility to make it right. We had to pay out of pocket for what is essentially the price of the original contract to fix these issues ourselves. THS has not returned any credit for our substantial out of pocket expenses to bring their work up to code and has not reached out to resolve the issue. It shakes me to the core that people and their companies can sleep at night with this type of behavior. Based on our family's experience I WOULD AVOID THIS BUSINESS UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

I strongly suspect I'd steer clear right along with him. We had a deck built and were happy enough with it to have Carbiere Construction install a Bay window. That went well too, and we have just hired him to replace a deck on our summer property and renovate a screen porch. We've had nothing but pleasant dealings with this outfit and recommend them wholeheartedly.

After finding what I thought was a miracle find this guy Stefanus(he lives 3 houses down from us) after several back and forth calls tells us he refuses to do the work? So I question him I want to know! He says because we live in the same neighborhood and because our neighbors want us out (another scary neighborhood story for another day) he won't advertise being here out of fear of them turning against him? I let it go until it made me sick and disgusted knowing I live near a coward. So he turned away 10's of thousands of potential $ as well as taking that income from his family, all because of neighborhood bullies that offered no help when our property was ripped apart by other CONstruction companies. They all complained but nobody offered any help. Lots of drivebys and rubbernecking as well as neighbors walking by NOT looking and the town of NorthUmberland (Richard Collaso) fighting with our workers and causing our costs to sky rocket. Ol' Stefanus said he saw everyday when he drove by but this supposed great neighbor never offered any advice out of being neighborly. Years these neighbors saw what we went through by land grabbers attempting to steal 30ft+ Of our hillside even after we had it professionally surveyed 3 times and still were getting resistance. Stefanus was not professional and he definitely wasn't acting like a responsible adult. He recommended J2 design to get a quote. We had previously use them as well and proved to be terrible... Spring came and we had a big bulge in part of the driveway, seems a BIG boulder was pushed up from underneath the driveway and cause a bulge that resembled a volcano. Called Justin Lenihan and although it took awhile to finally connect he came to review the bulge. Not knowing what it was for sure within two weeks Justin came back with his crew and dug up the bolder then patched up the hole. Although there is a noticeable difference he honored the work he had done and didn't charge us anything more even though it wasn't Lenihan fault. Honest and fair guy and company. We recommend his service !

The finishing trim and caulking looks rushed. Then he said he has an extension of his company that handles short term rental cleaning but after the first cleaning we had to have a different company reclean as the next guests would have been very unhappy with the lack of attention to basics. he said he was refunding us after agreeing it was not the best after I pointed out what a guest showed us but never followed through on his word for a partial refund.
