Brian (our regular pool maintenance guy) is great and knows what he is doing. That being said, we hired ASP for a pool resurfacing and deck refinishing/repainting job that was supposed to be "two days" and it lasted for roughly 50 days. The job site was left filthy and the decking repair that was contracted out by ASP was a disaster. They used the wrong color, left footprints in the paint, trashed everything, and ruined my handrails during their 3rd clean-up process, scrubbing them so hard they rubbed the chrome off and left them scratched and rusty and then blamed us for it and said, "that's how they were when we started." A father-son duo even got into a fight in the middle of my driveway. This of course was unnecessary and freaked my little kids out as they heard the commotion from our living room. Fighting on the jobsite is a joke and should NEVER happen. I showed the owner of ASP pictures of the handrails prior to the cleanup process and I have yet to hear anything back. It has been another month so I guess we are out of luck as I was told at that time, "I don't know how to fix that." Additionally, the contractors that ASP hired to resurface the pool brought all of their children to the jobsite and hung on my gutters like they were doing pullups, ran around my drained pool like lunatics, and left trash in my backyard during their lunch. ASP did come out and clean it up after I provided pictures of the mess but none of that should have been allowed to happen in the first place. As far as the owner of the company is concerned, I specifically wrote him to NOT send anyone else out to my home and that I wanted to see and deal with him directly due to the extremely poor experience that we have had during the entire process. He has yet to step foot on my property and sent out other workers in spite of my requests. They only thing they have been prompt on is billing me $180/month for service, regardless of whether they come out to maintain the pool or not each week. If I was able to break up my star rating into two categories, I would. I would give BRIAN (the weekly service tech) 5-stars and I would give the actual company 1-star due to extremely poor professionalism and delayed completion of work. At this point, there is nothing left for me to do as they refuse to take responsibility for the damage done to the chrome handrails. I'm not sure our experience would be better with another company considering contractors seem to be hit-or-miss in this area but I do not recommend ASP for deck resurfacing or pool refinishing projects. I guess only time will tell as to whether or not the quality of the work will last. Recently, they have increased their price to $225/month for regular standard pool service. We had to part ways.

My mother said they didn't know of any other pool cleaners and asked if I could help them find another cleaner. So, being an experienced yelper and internet sleuth, I told my mom to give me 30 minutes, and I'd find someone for her and my dad. Boom! Within 5 minutes, I found three different businesses that serviced pools in the Lynn Haven area. The first place I called was Goodies. I spoke to the owner, Chad, and explained that my parents were losing their pool guy and they needed someone to take over within the next few weeks. Chad offered to head to my parents' home, look at their pool, and give them a quote. I called my mom back, gave her the phone number for Goodies, and they set up an appointment to meet. I'm happy to say my mom and dad really liked the quote that Chad gave them, and also, I think my dad liked Chad because he found out Chad is a Veteran and runs a local, family-run business. My dad wears his USMC hat wherever he goes, so I'm sure that's how the conversation about both being Veterans got started. Anyway, I'm happy to report that my parents are happy I found Goodies to service their pool, and they said the service is great. Thank you, Chad, for taking care of my parents and not taking advantage of a situation where others could have.

We had words, and things went downhill. After a while he sent his minions to the house who tore the cover off the pool pump timer and walked away. Their idea of vacuuming was to use this battery-powered gadget with a mesh bag that simply spread the sand around the pool. Needless to say, our relationship has ended. I cannot recommend him. I don't know about his dog.

We couldn't ask for a more professional and reliable guy for the job. He was always on schedule and he cares about his business and his customers. He always made time when my husband and I had any questions. Our pool looked great. If you are lucky (when the weather is cool), you may even see his dogs waiting for him in his truck.

When I get rescheduled, I asked for pressure test, I wanted everything tested top to bottom, office people say "no problem" and I'm scheduled for soup to nuts. Techs show up (it was very cold), they find a leak , static test in 10 minutes, I get no pressure test, they say you don't get one if they find one via static and $550 out the door for probably a 30 minute service. Poor communication and service lackluster. Not calling them back for anything.
