Stopped here for a quick lunch of oysters and Rose! What a fabulous venue and interesting selection of oysters!!! Although we were very specific during our dining journey, to sit and walk through the dinner and wine menu would have been great! Both are quite extensive and have the average wine connoisseur and seafood fan covered!!! The views from this open-air venue are amazing...the passing water taxis and passenger ferries were a delight to watch and the view of the Sydney bridge---perfect!!! What a day to wrap-up a great morning!

What a perfect night! We went here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We were seated with a perfect view of the Harbor Bridge. We enjoy the special seafood player with bugs, scallops, oysters and more! It was just a perfect night. The entire restaurant is outside so bring a jacket if it's a chilly night. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Walking around the Sydney CBD on the way to view the Opera House and stopped here initially because of the view and the shade it offered. But now that I've eaten there I would definitely come back just for the food! Decided to go "light" -ish and ordered a couple sides - (1) the Avocado, Green Bean, Red Onion salad with an Italian Vinaigrette. Very very nice - the avocado was perfectly ripe, the green beans just the right amount of crispness. Also had the (2) Grilled Asparagus with Whipped Goat Cheese - these were some of the best I've ever had - the whipped goat cheese just made it perfect. Could have eaten a whole plate of these! My companions had the burger that they both enjoyed immensely. And the view - really not much to say except you would be hard pressed to beat it! Our server was Luca - who did a wonderful job. Friendly, attentive and efficient. He needs a raise!

Our meal was delicious! Beers were tasty and the view can not be beat! Great service as well even though they were packed.

Have I told you how much I love oysters? I could eat them everyday and never get sick of them. Located in touristy location in Circular Quay, it's the little cottage looking restaurant as you walk towards the Sydney Opera House with outdoor seating. My group and I arrived and were seated by the water overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We had some wine and proceed to order our dinner. I had half a dozen of Oysters with Wakame Seaweed, soy sauce and Mirin for Entree. The oysters were fresh. The sauce and seaweed were the right combination and complement the oysters well. For main I had the Tiger Prawn Linguine with cherry tomatoes, basil, chilli, confit garlic and white wine. It was delicious, but I wished I could say the same with my friends' dish. We have 2 people in our group that ordered steak. One ordered the Rib Eye and the other ordered the Sirloin, both were supposed to come with cafe de Paris butter according to the menu, but instead what they got was a dry piece of meat and no explanation as to the disappearance of the herby butter mentioned on the menu. The saving grace was the Heirloom Cherry Tomato Salad with Meredith's goat's cheese, basil and balsamic glaze we ordered as a side for the table. It was the best out of any dishes we ordered that night! Oh yeah, we also had Grilled Asparagus served with goat's curd as a side dish. For dessert I had the Strawberry Limoncello Tiramisu. It was a nice variation on the classic and a great end to a magical night. Surrounded by city lights we bid our goodbyes. Suffice to say my belly was happy and I will be looking forward to possibly dining there again next time, when opportunity presents itself!

This place was amazing I got the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Sydney Australia in February 2014 on our last day we stopped to have dinner here. Wow I wish there was a place like this here in Orange County that I could find and the setting was beautiful you have the view of the Sydney Opera House right in front to the left of you, you had the docks, the ships coming in people loading off it was amazing the entire trip was amazing I was so blessed to be there for 2 weeks.

I hate to admit that I'm no oyster fan. I've just never acquired the taste. I may have learned to partake in one or two, but mostly I fear they're wasted on me. What a shame. Especially when they come with a view like this one! So you'll imagine my incredulity when I was invited to breakfast at Oyster Bar. Errrr....oysters for breakfast? How does one politely decline?! But then, as if sensing my confusion, my friend assured me there was a mollusc free breakfast menu. But the view remains. Happy days! The breakfast doesn't come cheap, mind! The Big brekky (bacon & poached or fried eggs with beans, chorizo & toast) clocks in at $29! And a coffee costs a whopping $4.50, but bacon and eggs for $20 starts to seem worthwhile when you factor in the stunning vista....and the absence of oysters!

I've been there several times for seafood indulgence. The view is fantastic, right by the harbour. The food is good, I mostly go for the cold seafood platter, it's always fresh and prepared well, fresh pacific oysters are great, a little pricey then other seafood restaurants in the area but I like it better. The staff are friendly, one time we were there late and it was cold by the water, the waitress got blankets for the kids, we finished our dinner comfortably.

Premium casual dining it says on their business cards, and that's about right. I went here on an ex-local's recommendation. Right on the water, on the east side of Circular Quay and very close to the Opera House, this would normally be too touristy a spot for me to go for. But it was worth it. The missus and I shared some fresh oysters and a bottle of Aussie Riesling while the sun set over the Harbour Bridge and thousands of folks walked by. It was worth the splurge. They have linen tablecloths and napkins and well-appointed tables. But you won't feel out of place if you walk in wearing shorts (during the day, at least). Check out the pics and menu on their website.

Another beautiful location near the opera house. This place sits right on the water. Fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge. These are my main points, beautiful place, lovely service, expensive food. We went there for their oyster shots! A shot of tequila with an oyster or try their original which is like a Bloody Mary with an oyster thrown in it. Fun time!

We did not have a reservation, but they fit us in as a walk-in at a small coffee table with 2 ottoman seats. Not the most comfortable set up, but I appreciate the cozy atmosphere, almost like you are sitting in someone's very posh and dimly lit den. All the NOLA classics were featured, like Vieux Carre (no likey), old fashioned (likey), and hurricane. There were some twists on the classics as well. I liked the newer house specialties, and ended up having 3 drinks, more than I intended. We snacked on some popcorn chicken, which was nothing special, but very satisfying when hungry. We were also lucky enough to be there when the live jazz band played a brief set, which really set the mood. I took off a star because not every drink was a homerun, and the service was a bit too impersonal for a speakeasy. We had a different server each time. One of my favorite parts of going to a speakeasy is to watch the bartenders work their magic and ask them for recommendations, and if I'm lucky, maybe get an off menu drink. Not quite set up that way here.

It's a Jazz club with live acts every night, its a bar lounge. It's sophisticated dark and intimate. Apparently painted by a famous Sydney artist, there is a huge mural on the ceiling. The place was pumping on Friday night. Jimmy Vargas and Mia Mortal (say it slowly... ) Vargas like a Brian Ferry look-a-like is apparently a self titled 'Croonoir' from San Francisco's cabaret. Mia Mortal has been sashaying the burlesque scene for the past 25 years. The show was a stunner. The Owner Craig was at the door when we walked in, he told us he'd moved up from Melbourne, and had been running clubs like Lazybones for years. He said "If it's not underground, I'm not interested" I liked his Moxie, and I had to concur. The hipster scene seems finally on it's knees with the clientele here being an over 30s crowd. I admit, I felt very relaxed. I even saw a member of a well known Sydney rock band here. If you want to stay ahead of the game? Say Hello to sophisticated class! Lazybones you're doing it right. $10 on the door gets you entry. Wine and Beer are priced reasonably, cocktails at $18 seemed a little pricey, but it looked like top shelf liquor. The menu, while I didnt try it, featured "Bunny Chow" with pick your own topping for around $12 as I recall. There were also Samosas and curries. It's very loud on a Friday night, Adults only. Good for date night or a chilled out trip into sin alley.

The photos in the entry way were super cool. As we descended down the stairs, it felt like we were going back in time to the Roaring 20s. It was a Wednesday night, so the bar wasn't terribly crowded, though it was still busy. We grabbed a seat and browsed the menu. After a few minutes, no one came by so I eventually got up and ordered at the bar. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes before I was even able to order a drink. I don't know what the hold up was, but the service was extremely slow. While I was waiting, there were some drunk guys who were pushing the hanging light fixtures. This went on for a few minutes and the staff never said anything to them. It was annoying and extremely off putting. Once I was finally able to order a drink, I asked for a Martinez. The bartender could not understand me. I think I repeated myself at least three times. I guess the way I pronounced "Martinez" sounded like "martinis" lol. I ended up pointing to the drink in the menu before he finally understood what I was trying to order. I know I have an accent, but I didn't think it was that heavy lol. I will say that my Martinez was well made and tasted so good! My friend had planned to order a drink, but changed her mind after she saw how long it took for me to get my drink. Luckily she's a local, so she can go back whenever she wants. If it weren't for the long wait and the annoying drunk guys, this would have been a 5-star experience. If you enjoy craft cocktails and have patience, go check it out.
