But the dip manicure I got today was one of the worst I think I've had in my life. I just wanted almond shape and the guy did not seem to know how to do almond. I asked a few times if he could fix it and even showed a picture. Never got the almond shape.. He filed/clipped several fingers so much they were bleedingAnd at the end all my nails were different shapes and lengths, the worst being my thumbs. It also took almost two hours. I have gone to Sydney the (owner) several times in the past he used to do a good job now they are so super busy and rushed. It's all about money. The quality of work has really gone down. I was very dissatisfied the last 2 times but tried to be faithful . on top of that, pretty much all the workers are rude,!! never says thank you! I was visiting Davenport and decided to get my feet done. I Sydney's was located conveniently close to the hotel. First, my tub water was lukewarm. Next, I screamed in pain because he was cutting my nail too short. After he was done, he took my payment and walked away. HE NEVER CAME BACK!!! He didn't help me out of the chair, he didn't tell me where to go to dry my toes. I asked if they had the drying spray in a can. They said no. One gentleman came and helped me out of the chair and gave me the thin flip flops. He didn't even take the toe divider out. So I left Sydney's with wet toes, toe dividers, a the thin flip flops. Beautiful nails, the guy did a great job. Went in for a fill and showed him a photo I found online and was able to recreate it exactly how I wanted. Let me start off by saying the customer service was amazing they're very gentle however, when i came in I let them know i wanted matte acrylic and they said ok every time I told them; didnt get that. They're the best! Very beautiful nails and a great selection of polishes . Only bad thing is the pricing seems to be pretty inconsistent I went in assuming a fill would be 25 as it said on the board and I got charged 45 . When I got my nails done a couple weeks ago they did dip when I didn't ask for it. All I wanted was a sparkle black polish. I hadn't had acrylics done in 15 years so when they were doing the dip I thought they just did it a different way but then the price was more expensive than what was listed. I took my daughter back thinking lesson learned I would make sure to speak up more. So tonight I told them 3 times I wanted the cheapest fill and pointed to the price list. We asked if she could have the polish painted on the top like a French mani, knowing that would cost a little more. I also said again I wanted the basic cheapest fill. The guy kept saying ok. Then charged me $50. When his cheapest fill is listed at $18. I felt like I was taken advantage of. Before they started painting I again told them I wanted the cheaper version and regular polish is fine. It doesn't have to be gel. When I went to pay I asked why it was so much. He explained that the colored French and shaping cost more but told me I need to tell them at beginning I wanted the cheapest one. Which I did 3 times and I explained that and he didn't care. I am never going there again. Your better off going to DQ Nail Bar they are comparable in price and do a way better job with their customers. Or Vosche in Moline. Their fills with gel are $33 or $35 and Sydney is $35 for gel fill, even though at Sydney you ask for basic $19 one they don't listen and do what they want then charge you more. I do not mind paying the money as long as I know what I'm getting. Adding charges after I specifically said I didn't want something and doing it anyway is not good business. I understand gel costs more but it's the fact he didn't listen to me. He should have told me at beginning when I kept repeating myself what I was wanting would not be the basic one. Not say ok. Awesome service! They took my friend and I as walk-ins when multiple salons in the area were booked (we were only visiting the area for a wedding). All of their staff members were extremely nice! I was very impressed with their efficiency and would visit this salon regularly if I lived here. They offer shellac manicures with "powder dip" which looks amazing. Definitely recommend! read more

We travel for work so finding a salon is hard to do. This one is literally the best I've been to in a while. Clean, tons of choices for color, 8ish (I didn't count) pedi chairs, 6ish mani spots. The people who work there are wonderful. Mimi did my fill. You can't even see the line. Wonderful. She took her time, and shaped each nail to match. This is a very popular nail salon. The reason for my 3 star, is this is not a spa experience I was hoping for. The salon was busy with customers and 6 or so employees. My pedi was fine, but this experience was anything but relaxing. 2 giant TV's were blaring the entire time. There's plenty of customer chatter, which I get, but the woman who did my pedi, talked on the phone much of the time she was doing my pedi, then talked to the worker next to her. So much chatter and blaring TV's made my experience stressful. I go for the relaxation. It didn't happen here. I was so stressed, I was glad there's a bar next door. I left and had a beer to calm down. Other customers seemed to love this salon and I noticed the staff was tipped well and hugs exchanged. I was looking for a different experience. read more

Not impressed. Came here with a friend for pedicures on a Saturday afternoon around 5. They got started on my friend before me and I was 'finished' before her which should've told me something. Three of my nails had to be redone after I pointed out a ridge on one toe and uneven application on the other two. The person who 'fixed' the original persons work on my feet also did extra polish clean up from the skin around my toes. No hot towels on your legs either, but maybe that standard service most other places is only on the more expensive packages here. The price they showed was $25 for a basic pedi but it was rang up for $26.75. What's the extra $1.75 for? It wasn't until I was getting in my car that I realized my right big toe wasn't even shaped properly and is uneven (I posted pictures). Argh!!! After being there for an hour, I didn't feel like going back in to deal with it. Too bad. I had high hopes for this place after seeing positive reviews and it being so close to my house, but I doubt I'll be back anytime soon. read more

I sat down at 2:21 and she wasn't done until 3:48 (not including drying time). She was filing my nails for over an hour and then took about 35 minutes to paint them. I was traveling through Davenport and wanted a mani pedi so I found K K Nails on Yelp. I went in and they were so friendly and welcoming! Both the shellac manicure and pedicure were the BEST I've ever had! Vicki perfectly shaped my nails (which I'm SUPER picky about) and paid high attention to the polish to make sure it didn't have bubbles and was smooth while making sure to not go all the way over to the skin, which always causes it to peel. I'm in love with my pedicure and, especially, my shellac manicure! If I'm ever back in town, this will certainly be my first stop! read more

My wife and I wanted to have a date night while visiting family in Moline, so we headed to Davenport to get a Mani/Pedi together so we could have time to talk while away from the kids. We were treated like royalty by the whole crew. I had Vicky working on me and she did such an amazing job and was so incredibly friendly. I've only ever gotten my nails done maybe 5 times in my life. But every place I've gone to before hand was pretty sloppy. Them seem to throw the nails on and be done essentially. Also most were rough and made my fingers bleed. Not here! The lady who did my nails (didn't catch her name) was very gentle. She was precise, careful and made sure all my nails matched shape, length, and that they were not crooked. She took great care with them. They came out beautifully.
