Her name is Raquel Garcia . She is similar others , but also has a different style it includes stretching at the same time of the massage ! And she is very communicative when she needs to be ! Told me every time she would stretch the muscles. I will say I talk a lot but I had to be woke up a few times too ! the name melted comes from the term of melting into a deep relaxing slumber while your being massaged . I felt great and made future appointments for the upcoming months !! Give her a try and you to will reschedule more often . The building is newly renovated and has many little shops and salons , very easy to locate her office . Just to the left of the door as you walk in , down the well lite hall way to suite # 6 !! Knock first and she's right inside ! Have fun and enjoy your time !!

For our $49 introductory rate, we got a smoking deal. I've never had a massage at a franchise or…read morechain before, but my wife and I were very happy and impressed by our couples package. It didn't have some of the romantic bells and whistles that we've had at other spas, but it did the trick, and our therapists were skilled and professional. I've seen other reviews that complained about their questionnaire, but if you take it seriously, it's a huge benefit. My therapist knew she could dig her thumbs in as hard as necessary and that my desk work and guitar playing put major strains on my shoulders, back and wrists. She even remarked at one point, "i normally spend more time on the feet, but we have a lot of ground to cover." She and my wife's masseur were both very good at finding trouble spots without the need for feedback, which was great, because in a couples, you don't want to be constantly giving directions. My therapist got very chatty when I opened the door to it, but after I got a little self conscious and worried we might be bugging my wife, she did not need prompting to get quiet again. After we got dressed again, the two waited outside our room with glasses of water and exhorted us to drink them fully. Their manner while doing this felt oddly servile but it was nice. You could feel that tips and getting repeat customers is important to them and that the company has very consistent training for a specific style. I also found their marketing to be interesting. They have plans and packages to bring people in regularly, and it is tempting, I have to say. I will be interested to see whether it gets aggressive or sticks with occasional email. We very much enjoyed the experience and will be back the next time we get a chance.

Had a great massage! However the second you step out of the room you are bombarded with a sales rep…read morewho will not take no. Kind of sucks to have a nice relaxing massage, but then come out to that. I literally said no four times to a baggage deal. Needless to say I didn't go home and relaxed.

I was gifted a massage from anywhere in the Quad Cities as a gift and I chose The Spa at Rhythm…read moreCity Casino because I had heard good things about the massages. I arrived about 20 minutes early and was greeted, checked in, and given a brief tour of the spa facilities. The spa staff was very friendly. The spa has many different amenities - a sauna, an ice room, steam showers, a hot tub, restrooms, a changing room, and lockers for personal belongings. After changing and locking my personal belongings up, I was a bit disappointed to see how busy the spa was. The sauna was out of commission, and the ice room and hot tub were completely filled with chatting women, which made it impossible for me to enjoy the amenities of the spa. I am not social, and was wanting an experience of peace and relaxation. I ended up going into the receiving room early and just waiting for my massage. They offered water and hot tea which was very nice. My massage was scheduled for 2 PM and at about 2:05, my masseuse retrieved me. We discussed my answers on the brief questionnaire I had filled out upon arrival and she left me in the room to get settled before she came in to start the massage. My actual massage started at somewhere closer to 2:15 or 2:20. My masseuse was very nice and professional, although she seemed inexperienced and tentative in her movements. My massage lacked fluidity and flow, and at times it felt more like a chiropractic appointment than a massage. She focused a lot on pressure points in my hips rather than addressing the tension in my neck and shoulders like we had discussed, and I had noted on the questionnaire. It was very hard for me to relax during the massage due to my masseuse talking to me, loud noises and talking coming from the spa hallway, and loud background noises like my masseuse's chair wheels on the tile floor. At one point in time, I was tangled up in the blankets after rolling over which detracted from the relaxation aspect. Over the course of my 90 minute massage I think there were 3 separate hot towels put on me, which wasn't hurtful - just not massaging like I paid for and was expecting. When my masseuse was finished, she handed me a small bottle of water and led me back into the receiving room and told me that I was free to enjoy the amenities for the rest of the afternoon, but I was definitely ready to leave. It was 3:30 sharp, and if I had to estimate how many minutes I was massaged out of my 90 minute massage, I would guess closer to 50-60 minutes. I immediately changed and walked out to the front desk to check out. The staff member at the front desk informed me that there was a mistake and no one checked me in upon arrival in the computer system. Therefore, my card on file was charged the entirety of the massage as a "no show," when I had planned on paying in cash. While they refunded me the charge to my card, the refund won't show up for a few days and it was completely avoidable. I left The Spa a little disappointed with my experience, and feeling the exact same way that I had arrived. I didn't feel like it helped me relax, and I didn't feel like it was worth the money for the atmosphere, amenities, and massage I received. I think there are better places to find a massage in the QC area, and I probably would not return here.

From the moment you walk in, the cleanliness and nice set up catches your eye. They give you the most comfortable robes that makes you feel so relaxed and it wasn't cheap. I could probably sleep in that robe. The locker room, showers, jacuzzi, and cold room were super clean. I had a little time before my massage started and I went into the cold room. It felt so good on my sore muscles and joints. It's not as cold as Cryo but it was super relaxing. Their waiting area was stocked with water, champagne, mimosas, and hot tea. My massage therapist's name was Courtney and she was wonderful. She worked on all the areas that needed extra TLC. Thank you for making this spa experience worth it. I would definitely recommend this place.
