He said it fits better on the eye and that I would see better and that there was no downside except that it cost more. After the surgery I was having terrible vision issues. I kept going back and telling him the issues I was having with my vision and he kept saying everything was normal. I've been to several eye specialist since and they all said my corneas are bad and my issues are from the specialty toric lens. I should have had a regular lens. The lens can't be removed because it will damage my eye. For a few extra bucks in his pocket he ruined my vision (driving, reading, computer, walking).

She asks for my referral. I'm thinking my eye dr's referral. She says no I need a global referral. Mind you I scheduled this appt over a week ago. So i should have been told this. I thought it was covered under my vision insurance. Linda says, "Well you didn't talk to me so I don't know." I respond with "I don't work here. So if no one tells me to get a global referral, why would I know?" She repeats that it's not her fault. She tells me the biller says my options are: 1. To wait until 9am and call my Primary for a referral. 2. Pay out of pocket $340 and get reimbursed once the referral is received. 3. Reschedule 1. I could have wasted my time sitting 45 minutes for my Primary Dr to open. Then ask them to rush a referral over when they require 24-48 hours notice. But why reward this office for ineptness??? 2. I could have paid the $340 on my AMEX, and wait for this inept office to reimburse me. I mean if you can't inform a patient to bring a Global Referral for an appt, why would I subject myself to possibly being out of $340. 3. Reschedule with them? Nope b/c if everything I've stated. Linda was unapologetic. But, she wanted to take scans of my ID and insurance card! No way!!! Both her, the receptionist she said I spoke to and the biller should be FIRED. Dr Zuckerman has a plaque for being a Dr of excellence. Too bad his staff doesn't follow his example. They ABSOLUTELY WASTED MY TIME! I'll have to now find someone else.

He has been my ophthalmologist for many years. I had bilateral cataract surgery with a special intraoperative lens implant a week ago. The cataracts were extremely calcified and challenging to remove. My vision after the procedures went from seeing only light and dark shadows to 20/20 within a few days. I am delighted to be glasses free. Dr. Sosne is personable, competent and caring. He is always clear in his explanations and instructions and involves you in the treatment plan. I feel respected by him and all of the staff encountered during my visits. I am treated as an individual not as "just another patient". Holly (surgery coordinator) was very helpful with preparing me for the procedures and scheduling them. Dr. Dass assisted Dr. Sosne at my most recent appointment. She was also personable, competent and caring. Sure enough, the glasses I had (and the three different lenses sold to me between two different locations) couldn't improve my vision, because there's nothing wrong with my vision. Here, they're not in the business of selling designer frames and disposable contacts, and the difference is like night and day. I just wish I had come sooner. That's not all, though. Just the other morning, I noticed blood in one of my eyes. Alarmed, I called and explained what was going on. Two and a half hours after my call, I was in the doctor's chair, getting checked out. Lucky me, it wasn't a big deal. But, knowing I could call with a concern like that and be seen so quickly was really comforting. Need glasses? Get them at one of the boutiques in Milford. That said, even when it was busy, the staff was thoughtful and came over to ask if we wanted to sit instead of standing. The first pickup on a weekday there was no line! So, I walked a few feet down to the other end OF THE SAME DESK and a very nice woman checked me in. I waited for less than 5 minutes before they called me. I didn't get the name of the technician (a tall woman with short silver hair and lots of fun pins on her shirt), but she was very pleasant and fun to talk to. She did all of the pre-exam stuff and the puff of air thing. I'm probably the only person in the world who likes that! After that, I waited in a room for maybe 10-15 minutes for the intern to come in. He was really good as well. (I forgot his name.) And then, Dr. Jimenez came in, and he went over what the intern did, re-checked a couple things and sent me on my way. Everybody there (with the exception of the first person at the Welcome desk) was so nice, patient and kind. Even after trying on a dozen pair of frames and then deciding that the glasses were more than I wanted to spend, the assistant was very understanding. I will definitely continue to go there.
