They keep the building clean and organized. The management office especially Dimitri and Heather have been so helpful with all my questions and concerns. So happy we stumbled upon this gem.

This unit has a beautiful view of the "Go By Train" sign which is beautiful at night to see. Walking distance to Safeway, 3 parks, liquor store, and downtown. No major issues what so ever. The unit is huge!!! Cons: Where to begin. The walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING!! You can hear your neighbors talking amongst other things. The front door is not flushed to ground so whatever oder is outside will come into your home unless you get something to cover the bottom of your front door. The unit is huge but it is odd. They could have taken some of the bathroom space to give a walk in closet in the bedroom. Management: management was the worst. When CRMG took over, there was an issue with my water bill that I brought to their attention early. I stated that I havent been getting a water bill and they kind of blew me off until months later when I had to stop in and have a stern conversation about the issue because nothing was getting done by the new property manager. Whenever you brought a situation to her attention she became irritated and annoyed as if I was inconveniencing her. However, if she would have handled the situation months ago we wouldnt have had this issue. Overall, the water bill was 3 months behind. Im moved out now and still owe 2 water bills. It would have been 3 but I gave a money order for the water bill that is billed 3 months back but not updated on the resident portal. Overall better customer service and a warm spirit is needed. She says she has 13-years of experience as a property manager but she has some of the worst passive customer service I have experienced. Amenities: The only amenities this place offers is a gym. They sporadically do events but they are not consistent and very random. You use to be able to pay your rent at anytime. However, when the new management company CRMG took over they blocked the future so now you can only pay on the first, which is a headache. And, you can only pay what is on your ledger no more no less. The rent still high though! They fired a majority people of color security team and hired all white security who walk around with bullet proof vest and tasers smh. This new security team can often been seen on their phones watching tv, talking, or playing games. The first security company/team was great and professional. Ive also witnessed at least 2 people of color who worked the front desk axed after a few weeks of service. Duno what is going on but it looks odd. They do have a black woman now at the front desk she is great. I hope they keep her. Im moving because the rent jumped over $2000 with parking. With undesirable amenities, poor management, increase in rent. I think it's best to go elsewhere. Now im in a place with upscale amenities, great management and its cheaper than what I was paying. Place has a lot of potential!

I read the one star review from the other resident and haven't had the same experiences, for the most part. The elevator was down for 3 weeks recently for a comprehensive overhaul and now it runs smoothly and quietly. And it is true that unwelcome people will make it into our building from time to time, I've noticed that the building super does a pretty exceptional job of delivering packages to our doors (not even his job) so I'm really thankful for him. I've never felt threatened, harassed or like my security was at risk ever. I am an owner. This is a great location (Zone K) walking distance to Fred Meyer, Providence Park, lots of great bars, lounges and restaurants. Never seen a rat, a mouse, a roach or even a spider, ever. Built in 1927 as The Marquette Business Hotel then became the Marquette Apartments. After kicking out all the low income renters, including me, they went to work reviving the building to its 1927 splendor. I've lived in this building for a few years now simply out of the location and price. However,…read morethere been a lot of issues. - Water shut down for "repairs" multiple times a month. - Packages were being stolen from the mail room (hallway). Christmas gifts, included. They installed a camera and hasn't quite happened - A resident's boyfriend once pooped in the lobby. Not joking. - An apartment was once rented to a group of thieves that broke into multiple apartments. - We had a bunch of thieves walking right into the apartment. There's a camera outside and a note to resident to not allow random people in. But it's hard to tell who lives in the building. - Rats. Took a month getting them out with the help of an exterminator. - My neighbor's entire ceiling fell through from bad plumbing from her upstairs neighbor. - The neighborhood can get sketchy. There are cars being broken into and occasionally, there are people loitering out front. Multiple times I'll hear fights outside in the middle of the night. - The trash area can also be sketchy. There's occasionally dumpster divers and often harass the residents. I never throw out the trash at night. And the worst... - My storage unit was flooded from a resident's bad construction work. Instead of notifying me. They just had fans running. Not even sure for how many days. I needed to get something from my unit and realized EVERYTHING was wet and with health hazardous molds. I had to throw out everything - clothes, laptop, books, work papers, etc. Ended up getting quite sick from having to clean everything with the mold odor. Never received any apology or compensation from the building or the resident. UPDATE: Please be weary of reviews written by owners versus renters. Particularly, new owners. Things have changed the last couple of years but the building is still old. And the location is getting worse. - My water was shut off... Again a few weeks ago. They used to post signs but no longer do. This typically happens a few times a month. - The elevator was broken for months and finally up and running for a little over a month. It's broken again. There's no notifications from the building about what happened and when we can expect it to be running again. Maybe the owners get notice but as renters, you're often kept out of the loop. - Yesterday, I went outside again to find someone in the dumpster. A review by an owner said he's never had any issues but as a woman, this is the third time I've seen people rummage through the trash. Fortunately, it was in the afternoon. Because of this, I never go out at night to throw out the trash. It's just a risk. - Tent city just opened up across the street. There's huge trash bins across the street and at the side of the building.

There is an very nice landscaped outdoor deck area with barbecue and dining and covered sitting areas where no pets are allowed. Good location for transportation, nearby gym, a few restaurants and a convenience store. Lots of walking path options. OHSU proximity can't be beat. Views from my unit were amazing but with newer construction in area that likely changed. The few days Oregon had smoke in the air, it was nice to have such an airtight building and just run a/c.
