There is so much to do in Sylvan Lake, any time of the year! fire pit, front deck, and canoe available. Parking provided from the back to the property - you can walk anywhere from the cabin and save the parking fees! The open loft has a queen sized bed, reading nook, and little balcony off the front. Downstairs has a bright & functional living room / dining room with lots of board games to choose from, record player, TV with Netflix, fast wifi, and Bluetooth speaker. The modern rustic decor offers lots of seating, including a large pullout sofa. Free breakfast croissants were available for us with cheese and bottle of wine. A must stay in sylvan lake!

It's family friendly too so don't expect to bring your beer here and go skinny dipping. There's a beach that's about 1 KM long and you can walk pretty far out in the water before it even reaches four feet high. Probably over 100 yards. In the beach is also a fairly new playground for the kiddes and behind the beach is room for camp grounds and trailers. It's not exactly a huge Lake/ Camp area but it's nice. It feels secluded too because there's trees around the whole area. Bathrooms were descent and I didn't ever have to wait in line. The woman's washroom has a shower too but the men's don't. Not sure why. There's also a Bible Camp that runs just near the Lake and is the turn off just before it so if you get lost you'll know pretty quick.

The flush needs to be pulled upward and the faucet water had a crazy water pressure. Free warm bath though unlike others. Over all it's pretty fair and manageable and not so baf after all.

A number of ice cream sellers are nearby on 6th Street, but don't expect high quality ice cream. A walk along the beach goes for many kilometers. 75 minutes outside of Edmonton, this is an underrated destination.

If you are from Edmonton or Calgary or visiting this awesome little attraction is totally worth the drive. With a newly renovated (2016) river tube ride coarse this place was serious fun for the whole family. Tubes are available for rent for a measly $5/day. I wouldn't even recommend bringing your own tube as so if the walls do have a bit of sharp edge and at that price not worth the risk of damaging your own tubes. There is a concession stand and a phillipino food truck on location so you don't even have to worry about packing lunch for the day. There is ample room to set up camp near the tube ride. We picked an arena shaded by trees at the bottom near the concession area. If you prefer you can also bring your own food and snacks. My one area of concern is the limited bathroom and change room on site although despite being there on an extremely busy Sunday summer day there was never to crazy a line.

We drove 2 hours for a long day or floating and chilling, but we ended up only staying an hour or so. We did have to move off of the beach area because our umbrella was too big. Like really, wth! Over priced and they only hire teens who play on their phones the whole time, very disappointed. Also very dangerous, there was children throwing around rocks and mud in the swimming area, hitting people. And one kid ended up in ER because the rocks in the river, do not come here!
