"Coach Black" is the mastermind behind their accelerated reading program where she teaching…read morestudents how to read. I went to her introductory seminar because of a leaflet I found on UF's campus that promised to improve my study skills and give me more free time. She promises a "99% improvement rate", which might actually be true, because learning to read faster is not difficult, you can buy a cheap book on the topic (or find free advice online) that will get you similar results. She spent about 3/4 of the presentation telling us about how great she and her business is, how she's got a great rating with the BBB, etc. Only in the last quarter of the session did we actually get a chance to see what the course she's selling is about with a mini lesson on speed reading techniques. Now, I wouldn't give her 1-star if that's all she did (I'd give her 3 stars). But the reason I knocked off two stars is because this woman is a liar and will lie to sell her product. She told us that we were the "only class" (ever) that she was going to give us an "exclusive discount" on if we were to sign up for the course that day (typical time-pressure sales tactic). So instead of $299 she's take a "whopping" $50 off and sell us these well-known techniques for a mere $249. She asked us not to tell anyone else about this. On my way out of the class, I noticed a student waiting outside for the next session to begin. I asked of she (let's call her S) could text me what price Coach Black offered her class. The next day I found out that she was basically given the same spiel with the same "exclusive" discount. Not only that, but S says she spoke with one of Coach Black's assistants who told her that she too had paid $250 for the course (and that must have been quite a while ago). Is Coach Black really running a "Better Business"? I think not. Lying to a room full of people doesn't get you the great reputation she'll try to convince you she has, and needless to say neither myself nor S signed up for the course.

When I was a freshman at the University of Florida, I frequently wished that I could read significantly better and faster. However, I had no knowledge that it was even possible to augment these skills. One day, I received a flyer advertising classes that could do this with a free info session. It caught my interest immediately. The presentation was very well done. Her analogies and introduction to a new way of thinking really resonated with me. I was impressed with her track record and the testimonials of her previous students, and she further gained my trust with a written money-back gurantee. After taking the class, I was able to double my reading speed while retaining 100% of my comprehension, and I felt the productivity in my work increase as a result. More recently, I found out that she offered tutoring services for standardized admissions test. I was about to graduate with my bachelor's and planned on pursuing an advanced degree. For over a year and a half, studying for the GRE had proven difficult and frustrating, and all previous attempts to seek help from other well-known test-preparation companies were unsuccessful. Before I started training with Coach Black, I had not been able to score above a 480 and 370 on the Quantitative and Verbal sections, respectively, on any of the practice tests that I took. However, after just three weeks of Coach Black's sessions, I was able to achieve a score of 760 and 550, which ultimately led to my acceptance into my first choice graduate program. Coach Black models integrity and compassion in everything that she does. The consummate professional, her clients are always her top priority. I would recommend her and her services to anyone.

I was skeptical, because I had…read morebeen to several traditional doctors for issues with vertigo, difficulty with sleeping and difficulty with bowel movements. With just 5 treatments with Lori Pallais, my acupuncturist, I must say I am now a believer in eastern medicine and acupuncture etc. Lori Pallais is great. She is great with communicating, and just after the first 3 treatments, my vertigo is completely healed, I fall asleep faster, and wake up way less than I used to. I used to wake up 4-5 times throughout the night every night for several years, I now wake up once a night or sometimes I sleep completely through the night. I used to have a bowel movement once per week, but only after taking a laxative. Now I have a bowel movement at least 5 days a week. I had also suffered with shoulder pain for the last 15 years due to a motorcycle accident. After just 5 treatments, my shoulder pain is gone. I can't express enough how thankful I am for Lori Pallais and Dragon Rises for taking the time to work on all of my physical issues that were majorly affecting my sleep and everyday life. Thank you Lori for helping to restore my health and for helping me get better nights sleep. You were able to fix in just 5 treatments what western medicine doctors have not been able to do in 10 years. All of the doctors I have went to, have just given me prescriptions which never really helped and at best just put a bandaid on the real issues, but you were able to get to root cause and heal the areas of the body that needed healed to give me back my life and mobility. My family has used O2B Hunters Crossing since 2016. It's always been a great place. It's my opinion…read morethat the Hunters Crossing location is the best. We had to take my son to the Midtown location for a few months, and Hunters Crossing was definitely better. I think the smaller size of the building helps versus the other larger centers with hundreds of kids running around. I'm surprised at the other complaints I have read here about kids being dirty. That's what kids do, they get dirty. My son is a wild child and he would often play hard at the playground and get dirty. That's not really the fault of the center. My daughter is more mild mannered, and she's always clean. My son was also larger than all the other kids at the daycare, and he would often hurt the smaller kids, so they would take him up front for timeouts. And you know what? It worked, he stopped hurting the smaller kids. It's a non-physical behavior management strategy. As for biting issues, my son was also a biter, and they had him on a system where if he kept biting, he would be removed from the daycare. And we taught him that biting was bad, and the biting ended. So they do have a system in place to deal with children who bite. As for people complaining about there being no fee waivers for taking your kid out for a week or two, what do you expect? You waited months for a spot, and the income from that spot keeps the lights on and the staff paid. And you want them to just work for free? Would you rather they give your spot away and add an actual paying customer to your spot and put you back on the months-long waiting list? I swear people don't even bother to use their brains before complaining on the internet. I have also had concerns about student-child ratios when my first-born child started going, but every time I would look, the rooms would be properly staffed. And ultimately my concerns were unfounded. Occasionally someone spends 1 minute to use the restroom, which to me is absolutely different from leaving kids for hours in an understaffed room. This center I'm a millennial, and I swear these other reviews are also by millennial parents with how out of touch they are with the reality of children in schools. These parents paying apparently expect one teacher to carefully attend to their precious child and ignore the other children in the classrooms. It's just silly. This is a great center, and it's in a great location. There's even a Taekwondo school in the same plaza. The staff is always professional. They use an app to securely send pictures of my kids in the classrooms showing what activities they were doing that day. My daughter is currently attending this daycare, and she loves going. I will recommend this place first every time to anyone looking for a daycare to send their child to.

I did the initial ACLS certification along with BLS renewal the other day at the Jacksonville…read morelocation. The facility and staff were phenomenal. The facility is well upkept, and no equipment was falling apart or anything. It was also a nice touch to have gigantic posters of the different algorithms to glance over in the rooms. Our instructor Melody was phenomenal! I learned she came from the Gainesville location. She made the experience worthwhile/exciting while not drowning us with information overload. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Her personality made the experience less stressful as it was new ACLS certification for me and I hate testing. We watched the lectures and had more of a big group discussion after each one, where the class lead, and she helped "fill in the gaps." When I had clarifications or wasn't too confident on something, she took the time to listen and answer my questions, along with providing tips on how to "digest" the information or giving tips or mnemonics to help remember certain information. I didn't feel rushed when stopping the discussion to ask a question, nor did she make me feel "dumb" for asking. She also emphasized that even though everything is generally important to understand, she also took the time to tell us what's "commonly seen" or not seen in practice. As I've stated, I hate testing. But after doing all the videos, discussions, and mega code (hands on things), I felt more at ease. And even after finishing the exam, she allowed us to stay and discuss/clarify any confusions we had on the exam, and explain the reasoning. I will definitely be referring to this site to all my colleagues! Melody was awesome! Thank you! I look forward to renewing with you all in the future.

It seemed very convenient…read moresince it was so close to UF's Campus, and it proved to be when I came into town during the summer and completed the class in just 4 days. My instructor, Tahjaelah, even helped us sign up for the exam!! I am so thankful for this class and the help that it offered me in getting my CNA. If you are looking for a CNA prep course in Gainesville, this is the place!!
