He is pretty flexible looking at requirement of young children who are coming to this place to study mathematics. Shrishti is a great teacher with a firm voice and making sure young kids have the focus while doing the exercises. Yes, there are other teachers too but not all of them are high school students. I worked hard with him prior to 5th grade to get him competent in solving simple expressions with fractions. By the time school started, all this learning had somehow leaked out of his sneakers and disappeared, to my distress as well as his teacher's. Because of his math reluctance and poor retention, my son would have been starting 6th grade with a significant disadvantage. His mother and I wanted to help him catch up using a teaching service. We researched Kumon and found that, although cheaper, the focus is on all subjects and not exclusively math, and that the procedure is to have pupils do huge stacks of worksheets with relatively little teacher supervision. This would not have been a good match for my son. Leena's Mathnasium is exactly not like Kumon in that the student-teach ratio is about 1 to 1. She begins with a thorough evaluation of the student's existing math capability, she customizes a training plan for the student, and she executes the plan. At the end of the program there is a no-charge second evaluation, and what do you know? My son's math skills had significantly improved. Lastly, Leena did a pile of extra work researching math topics taught in my son's new school district, and tried hard to motivate him and prepare him for his new school Excellent work, Leena. I would recommend your service to a friend without hesitation.

Teacher Candice doesn't come across like your typical warm and fuzzy preschool teacher and my daughter respects her and likes her. Of all the preschool level activities we've tried, First Focus is the most fun according to my daughter. I observe that she's more confident and engaged here than in any other type of class. Strange, there's homework and she wants to do it. It's expensive so if you are already doing preschool, the cost might be prohibitive. But if you child is begging to read, this is the place. I spent 6 months trying to make learning the alphabet fun for my child but I didn't succeed. After First Focus, my daughter thinks reading is just fun and games.

His score improved from mid-1300 to near 1490, but more than the numbers, it was more about exposure and his confidence going into the test. I only wantedd this place to prepare him for test-taking. Instead these people have a way of saying your child is deficient in some areas and enrolling you and fleecing you. 1. When you go to enroll, the owner talks to to you for an hour (with lots of disruptions so really she spends less time with you but the elapsed time is long) to grind you down to sign a contract. Even though I told her several times I want to sign up for month-to-month but she talked about the discounts and how you can get more than 1 workbook in a week to speed up. I am sorry to say, I fell for her pressure salesman tactics and gave her a check for six hundred sixty for the 6 months. I don't remember signing any contract. I filled an application form and was not given a copy. BTW they won't give me more than 1 book a week so in no way have I got the benefit of 6 month contract. Other than 10 dollars a month discount. Now she won't let me cancel (although month-to-month folks have the ability to cancel). I even offered her to charge me the month to month rate. 2. The first week we go for the 'class' and she forces me to schedule an appointment for my son for 2 hrs every week. I thought this is included in the 660 I paid. Then she says it will be 350 per month. I said, no I am not interested. And she says it is not much only 70 per hours. Rubbish. As if 70/hr is not much. 3. I have no idea what the heck goes on in the class. I asked the lady at the reception to explain what happens during the 40 minutes class and she tells me - you drop your son, leave and come back!!! Thank you very much. I am asking what goes on when I leave him there. What is taught. What is done, etc. You see, they claim it is a class and I still have no idea how it is conducted. I asked to speak to the teacher and receptionist tells me she is busy. 4. On top of this I paid 30 to get my younger son tested for 30 bucks and she said she did it for free!! I told her I paid. I even have the check counterfoil. Bunch of lies. 5. When I say I want to cancel because I am busy, son is busy, son is stressed and gets headaches, owner tells me we need to see why he is getting headaches! I told her I will discuss that with my pediatrician. Just give me the money back and let me cancel. She keeps saying it is a contract. I did not sign a contract. 6. My understanding is this place maybe suited for people whose kids need help because they are lagging. This is definitely not a place to put an already advanced kid. Very disappointing. Stay away if you can. I want to run away from this place and cut my damages.

She practied…read more on computer program, practied using Enlish rthythm song, but she remembered some and then forgot some. After JEI's times table class, she remembered everything. They also have strong English program. I was worried that my daughter could not read simple English book at the beginning, after no more than 1 year, should could read and talks fluently, her comprehension also improves a lot. They also have a kid loving enviornment. My daughter loves JEI techers and director.
