I was really disappointed in my experience. I went to Debi a week ago for a one hour prenatal massage which I purchased with a Living Social voucher. This is my second pregnancy, so I have experienced many prenatal massages. When I have not been pregnant, I frequent massage therapy to address my lower back and sciatic pain. First off, it was very difficult to arrange an appointment. I called a few times and did not receive a call back. When I finally connected with Debi, she mentioned that she did not have availability until 6 weeks later! I explained that I was in my third trimester and would have already had the baby by the time my appointment came around. She was unwilling to work with me on the scheduling, so in the end I had to hire a babysitter to watch my child while I drove to Lafayette on a weekday evening to see her. Second, she sent me to the wrong address. The Living Social voucher had an address on Moraga Road. Her website also has a Moraga Road address. When I called to confirm the appointment, she did not mention a different address. I arrived at the appointment 20 minutes early only to find myself knocking on unoccupied medical office doors. Not only was the entire medical "complex" deserted, but it was also extremely unsafe for a single woman in the evening since the parking was located in the back of the building off the street in an isolated location. I was definitely concerned about my safety. After a couple of phone calls, I finally reached Debi who casually mentioned that she had recently moved office locations. She did not apologize. A half hour later, I managed to find her "new" location in Lafayette. The massage itself was okay. I spent some time discussing my sciatic pain in my lower back and the sensitivity I have in that area. She was very rough in that area, requiring me to mention that it was painful several times. It was almost as if she did not listen to me mention I had sensitivity in my lower back. Also, she did not have proper or comfortable support for a pregnant client. The pillows were oddly place putting pressure on my belly and making it difficult to breathe. I mentioned this to her and she said that she has never had that issue with other clients. After the massage I could not stand up without significant pain. I mentioned this to her and she responded with a surprised manner--not really helpful in my opinion. I also experienced pain in my hips and lower back for a week after the massage. The worst part was that I paid for an hour long massage and she only did a 45 minute massage. This is entirely unacceptable in my opinion. If you pay for an hour, you should receive an hour. She did not have an appointment after me. Despite the frustrations I experienced before and during the massage, I deliberately tried to be calm and diplomatic in the hopes I could savor an hour away from my chaotic life as a mom. I bought a massage on LivingSocial and didn't expect much, since I got a good deal, but I was very pleasantly surprised. First off, I am a massage snob and have had many massages, but Debi's is one of a kind. She has an amazing table that I've never seen before and a great technique! She hit some spots where most masseuses don't pay any attention to, places that I didn't even know were sore. And she also paid special attention to the areas that I told her were problematic. She's got very strong hands and gives a great deep tissue massage that's deep yet gentle enough where you don't want to scream. Definitely recommend! read more

Debi is so great. I just got the best prenatal massage from her today. She has the table where you can lay on your tummy and relax with ease. It was totally relaxing and I felt so great after. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good massage at reasonable pricing. read more

I have been seeing Debi at least monthly for almost 12 years. When, on vacation or out of town, I have tried someone else, there is absolutely no comparison. She has seen me through various sports injuries and kept me flixible and toned. There is no better night's sleep than after an appointment with Debi. read more

Debi owns Symmetry Bodyworks and she is an excellent masseuse and very caring person who really tries to understand what needs work and why. She takes her time and uses different techniques to get to the trouble spots. Although we originally found Debi through Groupon we will continue to see Debi for massages, her prices are very reasonable making having a massage an affordable luxury rather than just a splurge. read more
