We just had Synergy replace our bathroom countertops and I can't say enough good things about the experience. We went to their warehouse and selected 2 different materials; 1 granite and 1 quartz. They had a really nice selection to choose from. We were both pleasantly suprised with the estimate for both. Lowes and HD didn't want to do a small job (1 @ 72", 1@ 43") so they said it would be over $1K each. Synergy scheduled the onsite measuring within a few days and had our tops ready to install within a week from the measure. The demo and install went smoothly and the installers left everything clean and tidy. Can't say enough good things about them. A completely detached sink in a bathroom seldom used by senior citizens is totally unacceptable. This company, after inspecting the sink, should have stood behind their work and materials (regardless of the warranty) and reattached the sink in a timely manner at no charge and made it right for the customers (not to mention inconvenience and labor to reconnect plumbing). read more

Updating my review. It's been TWELVE YEARS since Synergy installed our granite. Many companies wouldn't even still be in business! My sink started to leak and I couldn't figure out exactly where it was coming from but it was a seam area. I called Dimitri at Synergy and literally the next business day 2 men showed up and not only fixed everything but saw that we had another area that was starting to not look flush and they fixed it. They were at my house for around 75 minutes and worked professionally and were courteous. They said thank you for your business and left. They charged me $0 and that's after TWELVE YEARS! I would recommend their work and customer service to anyone and everyone. Their prices are also very reasonable! Start of business was good. Countertop measuring was good. I spoke with the guy measuring and stated that I wanted all seams measured and installed as the original countertop. However when I get home and see install cut was not good. I contacted the manager but after conversation with manager, he refuses to listen to and work with his customer( myself). He stated that they have the right to change cut on countertop as they wish to. Then after refusing to listen to me (the customer) he stated that they could change it back to the original way the countertop was measured and installed for an additional fee. After going back and forth with the manager for a day I bid him we'll, paid the remaining balance and decided enough was enough especially after this guy sent me an email stating that I never had intentions of paying him. I had Every intention of actually paying a little xtra because I have been trying to find someone to this and doing a good job for a while. looking at my picture and telling me that it doesn't look bad after you giving me bad service and demanding that I pay you without attempting to solve the issue is not an acceptable business practice with any customer in a professional setting. That is what he displayed and I hope anyone that is looking for good professional and responsible business can learn from this! read more

After reading several good reviews about Synergy's follow up, I am even more disappointed with their lack of follow up I received. The guy who measured everything failed to measure my sink correctly. Once installed, the countertop did not follow the contours of the sink. I contacted Carrington with Synergy who had arranged all the scheduling for measurements and installation. She coordinated an on-site review of the work performed when I told her I wasn't satisfied with their work. The repair expert who came out said they were going to have to do some adjustments to the counter, obviously, and that he needed to schedule and coordinate and would be in touch. I had to go out of town for a while and let Carrington know my return schedule. No response. I emailed a few more times. Still no response. So, I called and asked for her and was told she would call me back. No return call. Then I called the main number and got a recording. I explained my situation and what my expectations were and, again, no return calls. Very poor customer service!! Another issue i had but unsure of who caused the damage to the sheetrock at the backsplash. There are numerous cuts in the sheetrock that I am concerned how to repair. Lastly, the stove was not put back in place which caused my dishwasher to not open. As a 65 year old, it took many attempts for me to push the stove back in place so I could open the dishwasher door. Also, no explanation of the maintenance of the counters when the installers left. All these issues should have been checked and explained. Again, very poor customer service. read more

When it comes to countertops, these guys are great...5 stars. Backsplash work, not so great...1 star. We discovered Synergy Granite from an ad in one of those ValuePak mailings you get like once a month in the mail. Checked the reviews on Yelp and said "let's go with these guys!" Our sales rep. and go-to guy was Robert but we did work with Demetri when it came to picking out the granite slab. Robert wasn't able to meet with us due to another customer call. The countertop portion of our kitchen upgrade went really well. Robert's visit to give us an estimate and take measurements went very smooth and he was very knowledgeable of the granite patterns and edging styles. He was able to give us a reasonable estimate on the spot. We also got an estimate for re-plumbing things after the countertop install and an estimate for a tile backsplash. The countertop install went very quick and smooth. The install crew called to let me know when they were en route and even called when they had to run back to the shop for another piece of granite to replace a piece that broke. After this is when things go down hill... The next step was the tile backsplash. A separate crew, not sure if they work for Synergy Granite or subcontracted, came in the next day and pretty much threw the tile up on the wall and called it good. I came home early from work to check progress and the only guy left was the plumber. The plumber did an excellent job but the tile people not so much. We chose 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" square tile meshed to make 1 sq. foot sheets. Some of the individual tiles were crooked, most others off centered from one another. This caused various widths of grout lines which just looked down right amateur, not professional at all. Robert called to check on status of work, as well as receive final payment, and we told him we were not really happy with the tile install. He said no problem and that he would send the tile crew back out the next day, which they did. They fixed the tiles we marked hoping that would make things look better, it did not. The tile guy called to tell me he was done and I asked if he used spacers for the tile, he said no. I asked him how it looked and he said...no joke..."eh, it looks alright." Really?? Robert has not called me back to ask what I think of the final outcome of the project. We'll probably end up ripping out the tile that is there and starting over with the backsplash. Yes, it's that aggravating to look at and it takes away from the awesome looking countertops. Moral of the story...find a tile guy that has good references and maybe a web page to see their other work. Yes, I would recommend Synergy Granite but only for countertops. read more

The Service... - Dimitri is very responsive, nearly always answered his phone and if he was not available called back within 15 minutes - He was very flexible, because of some snafus with our cabinet install (our fault) we had to change the granite date a few times, he adjusted very easily. - The install team was very professional and fast. - One of my appliances arrived later than expected, Dimitri rolled with the punches and did not charge me to have his team come back almost a month after the initial install to finish the cuts around my late arriving appliance. The Product... - Dimitri insisted I go directly to the granite supplier to pick out my specific slabs. I didn't really see the need, but it was a fun experience to pick out exactly what would be in my kitchen! - The granite is beautiful!! The price... - Dimitri was very up front about the cost, I chose a more common stone so it was not very expensive. The Verde Butterfly I chose was ~$8 less per sq ft than any other installer. - He scored me a FANTASTIC price on a deep sink, looks fantastic!! Overall great experience, much more flexible and less expensive than it would have been working with the big box stores. read more

We have used these guys twice now for two different houses and have had really positive experiences both times. They gave us a great price and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. We had the kitchen counters and bathroom counters done both times and a subway tile backslash put in this time. This time we dealt with Sean. He was very helpful in picking out materials and styles. He even had us come out and look at another job he was doing with the granite we were thinking about so that we could see what it would look like finished. We ran into a couple of hiccups with not having enough back splash tile on hand and there was a natural blemish on a piece of granite that we didn't notice when picking our material, but they brought the back splash guy back in on a Sunday to make sure the job was finished on time and they were able to move the blemished piece to a position that made it less noticeable plus they offered to replace it if we still weren't happy with it. Sean was in contact with us constantly and Dimitri would not let us pay for the job until we were happy. We will use them again for our next house for sure. read more

My rep was 1) Not educated 2) Pushed what he wanted and 3) Quoted ridiculous prices Below is just part of an exchange with them. Note that I was leaning towards 2 cm Alpine. Me: Why is Alaska lower than Alpine in 2cm, but higher in 3? Synergy: I asked the same question. I guess it's like fish the market price can change depending on what materials they have on which day sometimes if they have an excess they will lower the price. We wanted a certain name brand quartz product that is available at Home Depot and Lowe's, but Synergy said they could get it to us and installed about 3 weeks earlier than the big box stores and for less money. Once we placed our order and they had our money, communication and customer service went out the window. First they cut the quartz wrong so our counters were only half installed on the date promised. Synergy told our contractor that they'd do the rest the following morning. Fine. So our contractor showed up at 8am the next day as they had asked him to and waited for 3 hours. No call, no show. After calling Synergy a few times, I finally found out they would have to get a new slab so it would be another week. At no point did Sid apologize for the delay, or for the lack of communication, despite the fact that the problem with the quartz was his own measurement error. When we tried to schedule the rest of the install, we could not get them to commit to a specific time of arrival. I had to take half a day off work, and they still did not call or show up within the window we were given. Hours after the scheduled window, they said they wouldn't be able to come that day after all! I understand that mistakes and delays happen, but timely communication and an apology go a long way in my book. Anyway the counters finally did get installed and they look great. read more

We were actively looking for a good Granite Counters company to replace our kitchen and bathroom counters. We contacted Sean with Synergy Granite. Within a few days, Sean came to our house and educated us on granite counters. Sean was extremely helpful, honest and very knowledgeable of the products. He did not pressuring us to sign a contract. In fact, Sean recommended for us to visit a Granite warehouse so that we can actually see the real product. After we signed the contract, and within a few weeks, we have a brand new kitchen and bathrooms. The installation of the granite counters took about 5 hours and the installers were amazing. The combined quality of granite and workmanship are beyond expectation. Do not know how good Synergy's installation is because we did not get that far. Project is a countertops, backsplash, and a bit of electrical work. I called Synergy based on the ratings on Yelp and Google. Robert came out and was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. He provided a quote within 36 hours and it was priced reasonably. We took a bit of time to decide between Synergy and the other people we had quote so about 10-12 days later I let Robert know we were going with him. In the meantime we also put two slabs on hold (not at Robert's preferred place but its our choice) and to move forward we needed a sample contract, references we could call and proof of insurance/bonding to review. Never heard from him. Dead silence. I called a week later and he mentioned he was pulling it all together. Never heard from him. After another week I emailed and said forget it. My conclusion is that Synergy did not need our business. read more

My wife and I wanted to look at granite and discuss it with various companies on a Saturday. Imagine my surprise when most of those were closed. Synergy was about fourth on my list and they were open but suggested we go to the granite yard which was closer to our house and then call them back. We went to the granite yard and gave the reference and Robert from Synergy just happened to be there. Robert could not have been nicer to deal with, he showed us around, shared some tips for selection and even gave us a rough estimate based on my measurements. We were happy with what we saw and heard so asked when he might be free to measure up? "Any time today" was the answer. Now I'm sure it's not always that convenient but an hour later Robert was measuring up and emailed the quote before he left the house. We chose to go with Robert and Synergy and got a date a week later to carry out the fabrication and fitting. The crew arrived mid morning and worked through until early evening ensuring everything was perfect. There was a little mishap with a wrap around piece for a pillar but after repair it is impossible to find, as good as new! Robert came around to collect the payment and check the work a couple of days later he gave us verbal instructions about looking after it and left us with a great looking Kitchen. The moral of the story, The business who works on Saturday and is responsive gets my business. read more

4.75 stars. We had a great experience with Synergy. Sid did a great job with the sale and measurement and the installers were great. The installers worked very hard and very efficiently. The value was fantastic due to the free cut and installation of a bathroom countertop with our remaining granite. Both our kitchen and bathroom look fantastic! The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the after installation clean up. We had to pick up some small items left from the on site cutting, but that took a few minutes. I would use Synergy Granite again in a heartbeat. read more

Dimitri and Josh did a great job for us on our kitchen remodel. I especially appreciated the promptness in follow up and overall communication. They cut down a bar top to counter height, installed a huge piece of granite that is now a one piece island, re-did granite by our stove and installed a backsplash that went all the way up to our ceiling. They were timely, efficient and knowledgeable with their product and their work. My only complaint---scratches on our stained concrete from the demolition that are almost impossible to get out. Have them put down some canvas to protect floors and other things you don't want dinged or damaged. read more

Synergy Granite is the best Granite Countertop installer in Austin. Talk to Dimitri Montez (owner of Synergy Granite) before you buy granite from anyone else, he beat every other estimate I had. I like the fact that he and his employees fabricate and install the countertops personally. 80 - 90% of the companies I talked to (got estimates from) in Austin get another company to fabricate (cut stone/do edges) of the granite. As a result the price was higher than Synergy, due to the 3rd party. He was on-site the entire time my kitchen, master bath and guest bath granite was installed. We found that the quality and service were excellent. We are loving our new kitchen and baths. read more

Demetri, Robert and Brandon were great! Robert and Demetri went with me to the slab yard to find just the right granite. And they helped me decide what to do for my backsplash. I had to wait on a faucet I ordered online that would fit thru the granite, but after the call that it had arrived they were are my house 2 days later ripping out the old countertops and putting in the granite. Brandon was great putting up the tile and working with me as I forgot that once you remove the old countertops you have some exposed areas on the wall that used to be covered by the laminate countertops. Brandon helped me to decide to put tile over the areas and it looks great. He also told me how to seal the tile which saved me money by doing it myself. I have a small galley kitchen, but I never felt this was a worthless project by Synergy Granite. From quote to finish it was exactly 9 days. I highly recommend Synergy Granite. read more
