Less than two years after installation, lines begin to form in the turf. I called synlawn and told him about the problem and they promptly set someone to inspect and photograph. In a short time they informed me that they were going to install a whole new turf. Well they did and the turf looks new again. I am glad I chose Synlawn to install their turf. Wow were they quick to get their payment for the job, but I would recommend holding some of it until they complete and you FULLY inspect their work. They trashed my sprinkler system, didn't follow very clear instructions that were given re: capping sprinkler heads and left some gushing over the concrete. By the time I checked their work, it took over 16 communications (phone and email) to get them back out to fix their poor work. In stead of making it right, they told me fixing the sprinklers was my responsibility. They did pull the turf, so I could pay someone else to properly do the work, but AGAIN...I had another five communications to get them to come re-install the turf. Absolutely pathetic communication, horrifically unprofessional about follow up and would NOT do business with them again. The company is run by children that were not taught how to operate a business and clearly aren't supervised by any gown-up's. read more

EVEN IF THE OPENING AROUND THE TREE IS THERE, THE TREE IS MOST LIKELY TO DIE. I was not made aware of the horrific impact artificial turf planted directly up to the tree trunk, or scraping of the tree roots, to make the ground level, KILLS TREES AND LANDSCAPES. The day you have your turf installed around the trees, without at least a large opening left for the trees, your trees begin the dying process. This is not noticed in time to remove the turf and salvage your trees or landscape. It takes several years for the trees to become dead and removed at $2100 each tree. I had a very treed backyard that grass could not grow. After installing the artificial turf, without an arborist evaluation of the area, my 8 huge post oak began dying. I have had 3 removed, another to be taken down in the next week, and the remaining post oaks are in decline. This never would have happened if SYNLAWN had an arborist on staff for evaluations. I will lose all 8 of my oak trees because of the incompetence of SYNLAWN. The turf itself is also so bad, it needs to be removed. You may be very happy with your artificial green space in the beginning. Even a year or two later. But you cannot recover 8 mature oak trees or the loss landscape...ever! SynLawn takes no accountability. Buyer beware. Let me know 3-4 years after your installation, how well you love the new green scape. It's very expensive to have grown oak trees removed. Please come and see my $30,000 investment into SYNLawn. IT WAS A TOTAL LOSS. I have before and after pictures to show. Wrinkles appeared in the turf. Seams were obvious. LOTS of weeds grew through the turf. Sunken holes in the turf developed. It smothered three live oak trees. ( do not place turf over the root flare! ) Think of your sprinkler system. SYNLawn covered the valve stations of the sprinkler. The turf had to be cut out to replace a broken valve. Could not get the company to correct all the issues. Its definitely not the dreamy space after a couple of years. The issues began immediately after installation. Please think it through before choosing SynLawn Dallas. Contact me for pictures. Overall great experience. I connected with them via Home Depot. Ben and Juana were professional and my customer experience with them helped seal the deal. Team Lindo did an amazing job, gave me some advice to maintain the artificial grass, and re-arranged/moved several rocks to other places in my front yard. My side yard is small (about 763 sq ft) so based on my budget I went with DG 50PG for the putting green area and SYNPro 60 for the rest of my yard. I highly recommend SYNLawn because of their professionalism, efficiency, transparency, and warranties. I updated my original post yesterday and I should have left it alone. I had a wrinkle and it was an easy and quick fix. Saul and Lindo came through again. Within a day of calling the office Lindo and his team showed up stretched the turf and it looks fabulous again. He even blew the turf off which he didn't have to do. Can not say enough about Lindo and Saul ask for both of them when you get your artifical lawn. Team Daniel did an excellent job installing SYN loan on the side of our house. On the high level the process included removing top soil, installing additional sprinkler heads and drainage pipes, compacting soil, adding crushed granite, compacting some more, adding borders all over perimeter and installing grass, as well as some other steps, which I didn't know what it was. This was a lot of hard work, but they were very courteous, and went above and beyond to satisfy our requests. I am very pleased with the results and grateful for their hard work. Although they were very professional when they came an installed my turf and it looked beautiful until the weeds started to appear. For the first 6 months they were very diligent to come out and treat the weeds but unfortunately they have never totally gone away. I thought I would have a maintenance free yard but unfortunately that is not the case. I am trying every product I know to rid my yard of this unsightly weeds but it is very difficult. They did not treat the soil underneath or these would not keep appearing year after year. Very disappointed. Of course they will no longer come out and treat them since we are no longer under warranty and won't tell me what product would be good to use. I am going to try salt water and vinegar. More details about the seam on my putting green. When we agreed on a the type of turf and prices, there was never a conversation with Synlawn that they would be using "scrap" to install my green. I didn't even think that was something anyone would do. I was not home when they installed it. When I came home, I saw the seam. It looked terrible day 1. The sales guy said the seam would be better with time. It is getting worst. He also said they always use pieces to lay the putting green when they can. I did not agree with them and I still do not agree. At the time they installed the green, they offered to replace it, but wanted additional money. I told them I paid for a professional Installation and not for scrap pieces. Now, after I have made these comments on Yelp, they contacted me to ask if I would remove these comments. They did send me replacement flags at no cost but they have not came out to look at the green. Since then , my neighbor had a larger green installed in his back yard. Their's does not have a seam and looks great. I professional installation!!! Summary; dissatisfied on day 1 and still dissatisfied years later. read more

We had Synlawn install a putting green for us in January 2017. They did a fantastic job and we have thoroughly enjoyed the green. recently, we noticed bumps in the green. A company that honors their work and warranty. I purchased synthetic grass to go around my pool about a year ago and loved how it looked. Unfortunately the soil in my area shifts a lot and caused the turf to create some minor wrinkles. I hesitantly called Synlawn thinking that they would be like many other companies and decline or find ways to not honor their warranty BUT they sent a crew out and corrected the underlaid sand and looks great again. I asked for an estimate to do my backyard 1000sqf and around my magnolia tree which was 200 additional sqf. Got my quote and agreed to the price just to find out he didn't get me the quote for the back and around the magnolia (as discussed during our walk through) after I already made first payment and was told it'd be an additional 1000$ After paying over 9700$ to do what i asked for in the first place. He said he misunderstood or something. I payed for the backyard and was left to do the work myself (which was the whole reason I agreed to have my lawn done by them) and was pretty upset they didn't do what I asked them to do in the first place. I called the company to complain and explain the situation and was told the guy who misunderstood/ qouted the incorrect price for both areas no longer worked for synlawn (Figure) I was told Wilfredo would give me a call and try to sort this out but it's been almost a month now with no call or anything. In my perspective their mistake should have been handled with some kind of professionalism but instead I was left in the dark. This to me is very unprofessional (as a superintendent myself in construction) and I will not recommend them due to this fact. Communication is key to a successful business and I didn't receive that. Wow!!! So, to start, Tina was, without a doubt, the most customer-centric sales representative I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I submitted an inquiry on a Saturday afternoon and she returned my call and gave me preliminary pricing first thing Monday morning. By 1:30 in the afternoon she had someone out to measure the area and by Monday evening we were scheduling the install for the next day!! The three gentlemen that arrived to do the installation were amazing!!! They worked quickly, efficiently and went so far beyond anything that we could have even envisioned. They even took the time to lay grass between the pavers of our walkway which was the icing on the cake and pulled everything together. They did such a wonderful job and cleaned everything up perfectly before they left. After they finished up Tina reached out to us again that day to send photos and make sure that we were happy with everything!! Wow! From start to finish this was the most enjoyable home improvement project yet. The people were amazing to work with and the end result was so much more than we ever expected. For those considering it but on the fence about the results, take the plunge!! We are so happy that we did and now we can enjoy our courtyard year round without laying new sod 3 times a year and contending with mud and dead grass being tracked inside. The only problem is that now we want to install it in our other 2 yards!!! Love love love love loved everything about this product and the process of having it installed.
