Extremely cute little antique store. Multiple floors all jam-packed with mostly good quality antiques. Prices range from very fair to a little expensive, but overall the condition on everything was very good. Not a junk store but rather a curated variety by different vendors. I found many of the items to stick to specific eras/styles. A lot of Victorian, "cottage", Renaissance. A lot of stairs, and I didn't see an elevator. Some off street parking. Staff at the exit were friendly, but maybe a little sparse throughout the entirety of the store. This may be due to the vendor aspect. read more

Great building setup for vendors with four floors of treasures to explore. Everything is organized and well displayed in each individual vendor space as well as the setup and layout of the building. I visited Stickley and found Livingroom end tables but were very pricey. I have had luck at the Exchange historically. I found the very same set of end tables and at a fraction of the price. They loaded them into my hubby's pickup and we were on our way. Lots of hidden treasures. read more

Stopped here on a break from thruway driving. It's 85 degrees outside and I wasn't sure I wanted to go up 4 flights of stairs in a hot building. Fortunately all floors are air conditioned and there's lots to see. Masks covering nose and mouth are required and they have hand sanitizer at the check out. There is also a bathroom on the first floor. There is a wide range of vendors from large pieces of furniture (trunks, side boards, book shelves), memorabilia, glass, tons of light fixtures (if you're looking for one piece of a set they just might have it), costume and real jewelry, knick knacks - something for everyone! It wasn't too crowded, we spent about an hour, and purchased a small cranberry vase. We will stop back again when in the area. Thanks! read more

If I could give SAE more stars -I would. We are here at least once a month, if not more. Hard not to leave the store without finding something to purchase. Staff are always very friendly and willing to guide your search in the right direction. Multiple levels of treasures that change up quite frequently. Each vendor offers different sales that typically range from 10-25% off certain goods. You could easily spend several hours going through all the collections. Highly recommend! read more

Top to bottom Take your time or scan quickly as you might not know what you will find. Furniture, clothing, tons of jewelry, a clock booth full of newer cat clocks, even various crystals for sale. Front worker was not particularly pleasant as I had an item clearly labeled a discount of 25 percent off and she said no. Even other worker had seen the sign and confirmed it. When I said I was not taking the brass sailboat; the first woman claimed to call the vender and then okayed it. (See pix* note no date when so said sale ends and clearly posted right by the item on the wall) Seems that discount had been finished the day before as she had told Tiffany to go remove the sign just before we left. She also had tried to say the item wasn't from that vendor. So, what would you do? Me, a step away from leaving it all, after all, we did buy around 100 dollars worth of a variety of STUFF cute, nice but none absolutely needed which Tiffany wrapped up and bagged for us. read more

Really wanted to love this place. Hopefully we can try it again and it'll be better. There was a lot of stuff but not exactly a large selection of furniture, and what was there was overpriced. Yes, as other reviews have said, it's generally overpriced. Not crazy over but enough to make it a bit of a bummer. The guy helping me with jewelry had a flat affect and seemed annoyed by me. We ended up getting a table and the guy helping us with that again seemed unenthusiastic. To top it off the old white guys that patrol the store followed my partner relentlessly. I guess an overt lesbian is suspect. Well, she is mysteriously hot so I'll give them that. read more

Was there today, sadly the woman at the desk is so arrogant, she would not even call the owner of a booth with an offer. We know the rules it must be over a certain dollar for them to call which this was. She just could not be bothered. We have been there before and the tall man called for an item that was much lower in price but willing to go the extra mile. She never is, which makes me sure she must be the owner.... too bad. This antique shop is just around the corner from my house which is dangerous to my wallet! It's a huge building featuring 20,000 + square foot and 35 dealers. I love places that have multiple dealers because it always gets you a nice variety of stuff. That convenience comes at a cost though. Prices here can be on the high end of reasonable. What's even better than the mounds of goodies to dig through is that the SAE often has community events as well. I'd love to see the Northside as a vibrant community again and they're doing their part in being good stewards of the community. read more

Four floors mean plenty of stairs, but also give you plenty to choose from. As with most antique stores, you need to dig through plenty of stuff to find that perfect item. There is no order to the store, books, postcards, photos, artwork, etc., as any of these items can be found around any corner you turn. Some parts of the store are so cramped you cannot really navigate or search through everything, while other parts seem sparse and out of place. It even looks like an entire section is dedicated to lamps and other light fixtures. Living up to calling everything antique, I'd say a lot of the items are overpriced, but you do find some great items here. read more

Beautiful antique shop! 4 floors of high quality antiques. We could easily have taken the whole afternoon to walk through this store. Love this place. Bought lots of random things there ranging from small to furniture. Like most large antique places it's hit or miss when you go if you'll find something you want but even if you don't it's still fun to visit because there's so much to look at here. Personally I like that allot of the people with items for sale are usually nearby in the building helping out. It's helpful because they can answer questions about pieces before you buy them and most of the time you'll find that prices are usually negotiable. read more
