I attempted to use 1800-Got-Junk. The 2 guys that came & gave estimate were friendly and were…read morefairly quick giving their estimate & estimate was about what I figured. I called them back a couple days later to return for the job & requested the same guys.("same guys ,can't be done" I was told). Couple more days 2 new guys came for the clean out.
One was quiet/friendly. The other, who called days before to chk on the first 2 guys ,telling me he" was the manager", was the 2nd guy arriving . He stumbled to answer me ,when I said "oh yes, your the manager who called the other day"( Later ,I found out he was NOT a manager! hence his stumbling for words in front of his co-worker) In the basement I could hear yelling(he was on the phone w/supervisor). Once off the phone, he began yelling at me(I took it, that he was ticked off w/the 1st estimate ,so I tried to not be upset with his angry, unprofessional & scary tone!).However, he continued w/anger towards me,standing right next to me!(FEARING he'd go nuts on me, I texted my husband to come quickly!) This non manager said in a yelling loud tone, "Those other guys Fu**ed up giving you that estimate!" (So unprofessional!!!) Then he began bullying me,demanding another chk doubled what I was quoted! My husband arrived ,& this "non "manger" cont. his angry tone with my husband! We all went to the basement ,where the got junk angry man continued his angry ,unprofessional rant! In short I told him to leave! & how unprofessional he was with his swearing ,yelling and trying to bully me& lying he was the manager! He cont. screaming at me as he walked backwards to the truck. I finally decided to let him know I could yell too and I tried over his voice to yell ,so that the other worker could now know, the treatment I received from his angry co-worker (nice guy stayed in the basement cleaning, while angry man was on the porch w/me, then my husband! before angry man & husband went into basement). I began taking pics of the truck #, License plate ,driver and when I stepped up in front of the truck, (truck just started engine/not moving) to get a pic of the driver &angry, mean man. The angry man in passenger seat, motioned with hand & verbally to the driver, to drive! If I had not jumped back ,I would have been hit by the front corner of the truck! I called(all calls go to Canada)& filed a complaint! Cpl days passed, conflict resolution man called ,"they fired the first 2 guys for multiple under quotes", but this angry, bully & very unprofessional man ,"was spoken to!" (to keep me quiet I'm sure) ,they would do the job for "just a bit more than quoted." (This angered me even more!) & they would be sure the angry man would not show up.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! It was so very frightening!, my PTSD flared up for over a week from this horrible man! Again, DO NOT HIRE 1800 GOT JUNK!!! I called another syr co. The husband & Wife team were so very sweet, professional ,cared for things even being thrown out & they were far less than 1 800 got junk! 2nd Co. also honored us by giving us a Military discount! I'll have more clean out needed, and the 2nd CO. will be the one's I call!
