We decided to sit outside, but because it started to drizzle, we went inside. We paid for our drinks outside and brought them in with us. The waiter was not friendly. Asked if we had paid for our drinks, I said we paid outside. I'm not sure if he believed me. When he finally came to take our drinks outside order, he seemed irritated with us. We got our drinks and order our meals. Our meals arrived very quickly and everything was wonderful. However, upon closing our bill, the waiter got very angry with me saying something about good service and no tip. We are literally in Germany where you don't tip. It's a cool place to see, but I'm not sure I would go back.

Serving it colder would change it's unique taste. It's flavor is light, but hoppy, meeting the German beer purity law of 1516, but is still rich enough to leave a gentle aftertaste. Also on site is Sünner Gastronomie, serving the basics like schnitzel, sausage, steaks, fries, etc...Can seat well over 100 people, great for parties, or just a night out with some friends over a couple of beers. Overall, the prices were higher than I expected, but I think it's because it's right in the middle of the city and they give you A LOT of food. One gentleman who spoke excellent English assisted us with proper ordering technique, and gave us a little history of the place. Schnitzel wasn't amazing but it definitely hit the spot, with some nice kölsch to wash it down. If I return to Cologne I would like to visit Stüsser's again.
