In the fall my husband called T&B to come take our leaves. I am so pleased as it started a wonderful relationship with T&B. My husband is fussy and was very pleased, they did an excellent job. I chose T&B Landscaping after careful consideration and evaluation of numerous fence companies. My husband and I can't rave enough about the service and execution!!! I called to get a quote and Mike was here the next day. He is prompt, extremely knowledgable, friendly, and professional. My yard is far from level but Mike is meticulous, he was able to make the fence look perfect with the flow of our yard! Which surprised me since some other companies told me that would be extremely hard. Having a high energy lab and toddler you an imagine our excitement with a fenced in yard!!! Here is my experience with Tyler Bishop and his company - T&B Landscaping & Irrigation. As a foreword - I have had extremely bad experience with two landscapers before T&B and it took quite a few years until I was ready to give it another try. Lawn around the pool has deteriorated to such extent, that it gave me enough courage to go with another sod installation. I researched a little on the net and came up with two names I decided to talk to. Tyler impressed me from the very beginning: after initial brief phone conversation we agreed on a day and time when he can stop by and see what needs to be done. He came precisely when he said he would. Second visit was equally punctual. We discussed details and he won over the other guy with the combination of right personal attitude and project cost. He was saying all the right words about customer's satisfaction and work quality as being his ultimate goals. I, by the way, told him about my previous bad experiences and reservations I have against landscapers. Was reassured that he is not that kind of a landscaper. The only slight wrinkle happened when I asked whether his company provides any kind of warranty - was told "no, we don't". Reason - "we cannot be responsible if someone doesn't follow our instruction to water lawn properly". That seemed to me a little far-fetched, since I have trouble imagining anyone ordering sod installation for $1.50 a square foot and neglecting to water lawn daily for the next several weeks. Anyway, we decided to go ahead and sod installation began, as promised, on June 13th and was finished that very day. Lawn looked beautiful! - for three weeks. After the third week I noticed some trouble spots here and there, but most were concentrated in one area. Few days later I sent an e-mail to Taylor asking for help. And that was the time when all "job quality and customer's satisfaction" declarations went out of the window. Taylor did return the calls, but not as punctual as before - a few days later. Several times I asked him to come over, so I can show him what worries me and he can give me an advice. Frankly, I wasn't even really counting on him replacing bad spots, I was more looking for the directions on how to fix the problem. To make long story short - I never saw Tyler again. Although I always asked him to come when either my wife or I are at home (and he agreed), it never happened. Tyler claims that he did come, but somehow it was always when both of us were absent - which makes his visits useless. By the end of July it became painfully obvious that something isn't right with the lawn. That's when Tyler said that I didn't water lawn enough and that caused those trouble spots - they were just burnt! Unfortunately for Tyler, it was obvious that it couldn't be the case. First of all, those spots are really spots, not a common area that didn't get enough water - those sports they have healthy lawn around them. It's just not possible to miss those spots, but not to miss the areas around them - it would call for some very precise, selective watering! Second, I know that I have been watering very carefully and every day - if it wasn't raining. And third, one just have to recall what this June was look like - the whole month was cold and rainy! It was raining almost every day and often for the whole day. There was simply no way for the grass to be "burnt" by the end of the third week - time when trouble spots became plainly visible - it was cold and wet all the time! For some time Tyler and I were exchanging calls and e-mails - me, saying that something wasn't right with installation and asking him to come over, him blaming me for getting lawn "burnt". Finally, I just got fed up with all this and finished that e-mail exchange by saying that his explanation are plain wrong. Based on what I see, it's clear that his company did a poor job, but I don't want anything either from him or from his company - good bye! That's how it ended... So, why two stars and not one? Well, after all about 60% - 70% of the lawn isn't that bad and I believe I can fix the rest. That makes Tyler somewhat better than the previous two landscapers. But for me, for all intents and purposes, Tyler Bishop have joined a larger group of landscapers - "to be avoided". read more

The work done was fine. My issue is the complete lack of professionalism and business acumen. Tyler sent two workers to come work on my mothers lawn last June and one of them spent the entire time on his cell phone. My mother had to ask John to speak with Chris about being on his cell phone on more than one occasion. Chris basically ignored him. When we got the bill it was outrageous. Yes I was given a quote prior to them coming but if the two workers we paid for were BOTH working it would have taken 1/2 the time but it took 3 days because only John seemed to be working. When my mother addressed the bill with Tyler (which came 4 months after the work was done even though I asked for a bill multiple times via text and a phone call) Tyler agreed to speak with John and find out the amount of time he estimated Chris to be on the phone and Tyler said he would deduct those hours from the bill. That was in September. WELL that revised invoice NEVER came. Now 9 months later I am being threatened by Tyler to pay a bill that he never followed up on or revised. 9 months with ZERO communication from this company and then a harassing email. I did not realize it was my responsibility to babysit the "owner" of a company or make sure he was doing his job getting back to clients in a TIMELY, RESPECTFUL, PROFESSIONAL manner. I offered to show Tyler an invoice I got from my dog walker (also a small business) and show him the very kind courteous email I receive from her each month detailing my payments, new payments and what the remaining balance is. I think he could use an example of how to run a small business professionally, respectfully and successfully. Still waiting on the revised invoice...... This is a direct quote from Tyler in the email regarding the lazy cell phone using worker "I can understand your frustrations for the other worker on his cell phone. I cannot say exactly how much time he actually spent on his phone but John can. (John how many minutes/hours do you think we're spent by Chris on his cell phone during the job in total) I will be happy to deduct that from the bill" read more

I scheduled an appointment to open our sprinkler system and they never showed. I called to follow up and was told they see my appointment and would find the person who was supposed to be here and call me right back. Two hours went by with no call back so I called again and was told the same thing. After a few more hours I tried to call again, but they stopped answering. I stayed home all day in the hopes of completing this service and was very disappointed I couldn't at least get the courtesy of a cancellation or a reschedule. Now I need to find someone else to open my system and waste another day. read more

My interaction with T&B Landscaping started off well until they actually did the work or claimed to have done it. They were very professional in the beginning as they returned my calls, were professional and polite and offered a fair price for a spring cleanup which included mulch. I got the invoice for $430 which I paid on time and in full. However when I went to my property there is was no mulch laid out as that was part of the quote. When I called to explain this to Alex the office manager she said they would get back to me. Six voice mails later, 3 to office and 3 to owner Tyler Bishop still not one call back. Dealing with T&B Landscaping is a horrible experience. They were recommended by my last landscape company which had changed into a construction only landscape company so I gave them a try. What a mistake. They quote prices - in writing - and then bill for a much higher amount. As for snowplowing, better call in sick because they don't show up for at least a full day and you will have to shovel your way out. But don't worry!! after you have done hours of work and drive off they just may (may) show up and plow a skinny strip up the middle while blocking in your garage doors so you cant get back in without more shoveling and then charge you for the plowing! It gets worse... the spring cleanup I contracted for? wish I never did. T&B came in when I wasn't home (not the day they were scheduled so I could supervise) and filled my swimming pool with mulch and dirt by blowing out the beds into the pool! brilliant right? They couldn't be reached to fix it so I spent 8 days cleaning my 45 foot swimming pool and backwashing my filter. They also left packed leaves in all the beds, under all of the shrubs and sticks and fallen branches all over the place. After all of my dissatisfied customer phonecalls which they never answered I was shocked to receive a bill for $525.00 for their "cleanup" which was truly damage and lack of cleanup. I called again, and again, sent photos of the property and the pool to their email address and explained that they did NOT do a cleanup. More phone calls from office women...still sending me bills for $525! Are they serious? The latest is an email threatening to ruin my credit if I don't pay them and claiming I have never returned their calls. read more

very poor job plowing this winter. we had our driveway widened a few years ago:yet i had a hard time getting down driveway without hitting one or the other side of the driveway. the last storm really did it as they didn't even bother to plow my roundabout. we even had to shovel out my son's car as he ended up on the snowbank. i found him extremely expensive on the last plow job. i called him and complained. he said he would send me a check for the last job which i have never received. read more
