Basically I just wanted grass to mow and be done with it. I also thought that it was time to replace the weed-laden garden that bordered my house with a nice rock border with a weed barrier underneath to keep it clear of invasive weeds. I called Robert Brown based on the great reviews he had on here and hoped for the best. I have had issues in the past with hiring handymen who either did shoddy work, or never finished the job after they convinced me to give them payment because of an urgent need. I decided this time I was going to hire a professional and not get fooled again. Rob showed up personally and listened carefully to what I had in mind and gave me a great price estimate which I only replied with "when can you start?" He showed up with his assistant Boo, and his mini Kubota tractor and digger and jumped right on re-configuring my front yard. They worked at an accelerated pace, and I could not believe how fast and professionally they accomplished their task at hand. Rob even made a few suggestions that made more work for himself, but refused to change the price, even though I offered to pay more. He said: "It's not about the money for me, I just want to make my customers happy." My neighbor came over to watch and was amazed at how fast they got the job done. Rob is a wizard with that tractor and even yanked out an impossible to get rid of crepe myrtle tree with ease! They finished the job by installing the rock border and replaced the border blocks I had from before to make a perfect job! The work was done quickly and professionally, everything was cleaned up and hauled away, and you could see the honest pride Rob took in his work as he showed my wife and me the finished project. I can't say enough about this man, Robert Brown. He is one thing that is extremely rare these days, a sincere man! What a pleasure, and an honor to have met him and his hard working assistant! After 19 calls to them (15 voicemails left & ONE call returned) and over a year after their commitment to replace plants, they have finally completed the work. (Note: 3 replacements have since died and they refuse to replace them). I spoke with Billy Noble (owner) to get his help to get the work completed. He didn't like what I was saying so he hung up on me! Seems a business owner would want to understand why a customer is so frustrated with their service. Not Billy Noble. He shows his appreciation for his customers by telling them they're rude and hanging up on them.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with him and his legitimate equipment. Our property has been overgrown for far too long. The sandman came and made it all disappear, while preserving a few plants scattered throughout. We can't sing his praises enough! He stayed longer than what we expected making sure everything was trimmed and sprayed all over for weeds. Honestly, for the amount of work he did, we were satisfied with his upfront price, which like some others, he didn't try to up-charge us! He is a nice and honest man. We gave him a few extra dollars, which was less than he deserved for all the hard work he did. And he was so honest telling us there was extra money! We just gave him a llittle extra we had on hand. But what integrity and honesty he possesses not to just assume it was his and not a mistake on our end. What else can you ask from any contractor!? When I received the contract , and it referenced, "no guarantees" I was assured that this was to protect the company in the event that there was natural weather related events or neglect on the part of the homeowners and that if there was a problem, you would stand by it. This was a particular concern on my part because you installed it during the winter. As this is a rental property, we were unable to see the lawn until early summer. When we saw it, over half the sod was dead. This was despite the fact that you installed the sprinkler system and our property manager confirmed it was working the whole time. The fact that you refuse to even come out to inspect it yourself and claimed that it was an issue on our part or the lawn company speaks volumes . We have owned several properties here on Sunset for many years and as you know it is a small community.

They installed the wrong color stairs on my patio and the owner got frustrated with me that I didn't stop them from installing. I explained I was not home, but he was very belligerent and frustrated toward me because I didn't recognize it when they were delivered. I guess they don't look at them when they receive deliveries for their customers so he sees it's as my mistake. I allowed them to stain the steps, which ended up looking good. I probably will not do business with them again when I add uplighting to my yard. I was also surprised when they told me they add 3% to the bill if I use a credit card. Their customer service is 1 star, but the work they did was 4 stars.
