So helpful and fast!!! I am making a few proposal gifts for my bridesmaids and needed some acrylic sheets to fit into a box. I originally went to another acrylic store nearby but they weren't helpful at all and was quite pricey - they quoted me $24 for one sheet. I found this place on yelp and walked over - I told the guy what I needed and that I didn't want to spend too much on it since it's only something purely decorative for the box. He was so much more helpful - he quoted the exact same sheet for $22, I told him it's still more than what I would want to pay - he suggested other types of acrylic sheets that's a lot more affordable for me to choose from - I ended up picking one for $15, and he gave me a discount ($13 each) for buying 5 pieces. He got it cut in the exact size I needed in less than 10m. High recommend. Friendly, helpful, and honest staff. read more

I placed an order online and I received a tracking number. The tracking number never updated and I never received order or a refund. Company refuses to respond to emails. Scammed over $20 dollars. Avoid at all costs and don't waste your time. read more

The clear plastic I ordered was good but arrived with two corners broken off. So I cant use it. I tried contacting them to address the issue but after two weeks nobody has gotten back to me. It's just a total loss. Sucks. read more

Dog-friendly! I walked little Kula over there and she knew what the guys had, they knew she knew, so one guy finally brought out a box of Milk-Bones. She's a regular and loves coming in here. They have a wide assortment of acrylic frames and boxes; although one reviewer here suggests--based on the store's location--they're geared to using the boxes to hold, "um, 'stuff'"--I find them to be useful for sorting and collecting many tiny things, such as beads, screws, and the like. When I was a student several years ago, a group of us would often make runs down to Canal street and go gallery-hopping and to the various stores down here, including the plastic stores. This store is a great destination for all your Mylar and plastic needs. read more

Found this place from a recommendation by Canal Rubber. Very helpful staff, super courteous and professional. Completely willing to go the extra mile to get exactly what you need and 80% cheaper than Canal Plastics! Why do they have to have a store in the Bermuda Triangle of NYC though? I think I might know why...they have a fabulous selection of various transparent acrylic boxes. My guess is that the customers of those very special boxes, for very special-um, 'stuff', don't want to parade into a shop on Canal with thousands of camera snapping midwestern tourists with knock-off Rolex handbags. They might get freaked out or something...why am I suddenly getting an intense craving for cheetos? What was I saying again? Did you know that the universe is expanding, dude? And it's accelerating!? My original plan was to go to the Canal Plastic. But when I got there they were so rude that I left the store without shopping what I needed. And guess what no one even cared that they missed a customer! anyway I ended up going to T&T Plastic which was like a 5 star hotel after such a horrible experience with the Canal Plastic. Every one in this store is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. Their services is very good and actually the lady over there showed me how to DIY some stuff to save some money! The guys here are super helpful. I had to construct something out of plexi for the first time and was really clueless about putting it together. The guy behind the counter advised me about the thickness I needed, how to glue it, etc etc. Definitely worth it to stop in and browse around too. Lots of crafts items, mirrored things, and colorful acrylic containers. I've heard the prices are good compared to Canal Plastics and I've only heard horror stories about their customer service. Great scrap section for small projects. They're leftover from cut pieces and priced super cheap. read more

Love this place! They make good suggestions and they're accurate and timely in what they do. They respond to calls and emails swiftly and the music is pretty awesome while you are waiting here. You can design any custom box you want here and they have samples of the sizes and colors available. If you're not sure what you need, they're more than happy to walk you through it. All of the rave reviews of T&T sound phony. I read them with suspicion. Our experience was terrible - We are seniors and entered wearing masks during the pandemic/ The owner is there by the counter not wearing a mask. I asked him to please put on a mask and he said essentially that I was welcome to wear a mask but that he wouldn't and if I didn't like it I could wait outside. We went one block away to Plastic Land where everyone respected the customer (and each other) by wearing masks and they were very nice and helpful. Don't believe rude service reports at T&T's competitors. Think instead of the rude, harmful and disrespectful behavior of those a T&T. read more

Less abrasive than Canal Plastics in my experience. A good selection of plastics and vinyls. Prices are not cheap but not the worst Manhattan price gouge either. I second the other poster's recommendation about coming with a drawing or written specs if you have anything more than a simple cut. I don't love how they manhandle some of the vinyls taking them off the roll. Tap Plastics (a great chain out West) has a rolling cart to avoid that awkward, approximated, wandering scissor cut in one hand / hold the roll in the other hand. Also, once, they sold me what was left on the roll, but wouldn't leave it on the core for me, which would have made carrying a 60" long floppy piece of vinyl on the subway a lot easier. I shop here out of necessity. If a Tap Plastics opened up anywhere below 59th Street, I'd switch there in a heartbeat. read more

As the name suggests, T&T is all about plastics (plexiglass mostly). They can custom make you items or you can just stop in for some materials. The shop is rather small and their selection is a fraction of what Canal Plastics has but their prices are a bit better. The service I got here wasn't very good but between the prices and the fact they took credit cards it's an ok shop worthy of a solid 3 star rating. The great thing is because they're only a block away from Canal Plastics, come here first, if they don't have what you need, you're right by another store that probably does. read more

T&T is an unusual and very intriguing store--a boon to those who still use their hands directly to make creative projects and handicrafts (rather than being phony artists who work solely on computers and the internet). This odd store will supply you with pieces of acrylic and plastic in any number or size to meet your needs. Flat or curved; colored or clear or opaque. The sheets are cut to order (barring miscommunication). Me, I would always come here with a properly dimensioned, measured drawing so as to avoid any confusion. I recommend this to everyone. Use Visio, Inkscape, or SmartDraw to lay out your design. Its not cheap-- a 4'x2' sheet is almost $50. But they're willing to give you leeway on price wherever they can and they explain to you what each item is on the bill. All in all; a superb service for things you have to DIY yourself with plastic involved. read more

Small selection. Decent prices. I always call in advance to compare prices between Canal and T&T. Given that they are a block away from one another, it only makes sense. Some items T&T offers cheaper, others Canal. There is no advantage between the two plastic competitors. The setup couldn't be more straightforward. Some loose plastic sheets in the front. Otherwise, walk straight to the back for their ready-made plastic products. They are more organized than their neighbor. They may also have a more limited offering. Basics should be covered though. Just talk with the front desk and the good stuff you seek may be downstairs or in the back. Had no major issues with the custom cut or laser cutting service. Used both DWG and AI files with no issues. There was a longer wait than promised though, both delayed when called ahead and when I finally got there. read more

After getting astronomical quotes from 5 other places (some were literally 3 times the price T&T quoted), I got a giant piece of frosted plexiglass from these guys, cut exactly to my specs. Thomas even set me up with an outside delivery service and got me a great price. Easy, friendly experience. I would definitely use these guys again. read more

I just had the WORST experience I have ever had with a NY business. I called about the price of an 8 x 8 ft circular mirror made and the owner, TONY was extremely rude and offensive. He hung up me on twice, just because he thought i was trying to negotiate the price. He said that he would charge me $600, so i asked him what was the price for the mirror film (which was $280) and what was the price for the laser cutting. He was very rude, and while i was still talking he told me to have a good day and hung up. I was perplexed and called back, thinking that he might have been confused, but he was even more aggressive and told that he had already hung up on me and that I was wasting his time. I insisted that the only thing i needed to know was the price for the laser cutting (because I had to let my client know), but he didn't let me speak and hung up again without letting me ask him when could he have it ready. Honestly, I wasn't trying to negotiate the price, I was willing to pay the $600 and I only needed to ask him how long would it take him to fabricate it. I AM SHOCKED by being treated like this and yelled at over the phone. I can't believe the owner of T&T Plastic Land can be able to treat a client so badly, his attitude was extremely disappointing and disgraceful. By the way, after this episode I called Canal St Plastics and they can get the job done for $425. I've had great experiences with Canal Plastics, they have always been efficient and respectful and I highly recommend them over T&T Plastics. read more

I ordered plastic sheets from here for work. It was a disaster. They got my order wrong initially - I had ordered 4 $20 corrugated plastic sheets, but they had my order as one $83 plastic sheet instead of . I sent a courier to pick up my order. He called me to ask how many plastic sheets I ordered (as they had my order down as four sheets but the store had my order down as one sheet) - I reported four. The courier reported this to T&T Plastic, and so they charged me $249 for three $83 sheets of plastic, without me authorizing this charge! When the four sheets of the wrong type of plastic were delivered and I was given the expensive reciept, I called to ask 1) how they got my order wrong and 2) how they dared to authorize a $249 to my card without speaking with me to authorize it. They offered no explanation or apology. The salesperson I was speaking with (she is the female one) was incredibly rude and kept repeating that it was "no problem" - when you charge me $249 for somethign I didn't want to order without asking me, there is a problem!!! Now I have to pay a courier to bring my order back and pick up the correct plastic sheets. I am not happy with T&T Plastic at all. Their customer service is remarkably terrible. read more

The man behind the counter was beyond RUDE. I was given their return policy when I purchased something and RUDLY told another when I tried to return it. If you can find anohter supplier you should. They also talked about scratched plastic cases? They put no protection between the cases when they stack them in the store so most of them are scratched already. The RUDE man behing the counter really angered me and now I'm out my money for a case and stand I can't (and didn't) use. read more
