    Durian layer cake

Today, we discovered a new cake. They have a durian layer cake that is really fantastic. At $23, though a little bit expensive, I can still afford it. At first glance, it doesn't look like much as if it is covered with a thin sheet of egg , then when you cut into it, there are the layers. Taste wise, it has a hint of durian, not that strong. In our opinion, it could be a good deal stronger. But the texture when you bite into it was creamy, smooth and just right. Beautiful, just beautiful. Great find. If they can increase the flavor and reduce the price, it would be perfect.

2020/01/10. Full blast Chinese New Year offerings

What I lIke about T&T is it is a huge Asian, (HK style) grocery shop. It has a significant cooked food section for those wanting to grab a quick meal. The offerings vary from pastries to sushi to popular Chinese dishes. Earlier in the day, the bbq offerings are decent. After 3Ish pm, much of the cooked foods and pastries go on sale. What is also good is that it has a huge offering of fresh fruits and vegetables, some fairly exotic. Not to mention all sorts of other goodies such seafood and meats. It has become a very popular store for many folks here in Coquitlam.

Many options for dessert! Even freshly baked egg tarts and hot baked goods! (Feb, 2017)

Very organized, bright and clean! You know how Americans are like "Chinese markets are dirty, fishy and stinks"..Well, Canada knows whats upppp! This is a total opposite of that and I'm very glad. Living in Seattle I thought it's common that the Asian grocery stores are dark, dirty and kinda stinky and messy. And now I realized they could do better! I wish this is nearby where I live because it's very nice and they have almost ALL kinds of products you need. Even deli, ready to eat sushi, fast breakfast items (sandwiches, egg tarts, Chinese bread, dim sums, congee, etc!), cooking tools, authentic sauces and drinks, and much more!!! Although I can't give it a 5 stars cause I can tell it's pretty pricy. I know it's a nice market but I wish things are in their reasonable prices. I came here for milk tea packages (cause they don't sell any in Seattle! Shame....) And it costs $9.99 CAD for a 24 packages box! OMG! Maybe like $5 CAD ($30~ HKD) from Hong Kong how this is $10 CAD? I don't know how much it actually costs for shipping but well you can imagine how much more you are paying for one item. Also the egg tarts are $1 each. Hmmm. You judge. Seattle egg tarts are 50 cents or less so, nope, even if it tastes better than the ones in Seattle. Overall I might come back for milk tea again cause..I have a crazy milk tea drinker and that crave is strong... But if I come here for grocery I would compare their prices with other stores first. I still like how clean and organized it is tho! So if you don't mind the price tag, more just prefer the environment, this is a place for you!

This is a busy T&T Supermarket located in the mall. Store layout is a bit cramped. It was weird the beauty products were facing the produce section. There was a large selection of prepared food (eg dim sum, cooked food) to choose from if you do not feel like cooking your meal.

It's convient, as it is in Coquitlam Centre, but this is probably one of the smaller ones too. Not that much selection, compared to the one's I'm used to going to. I will say that they have a pretty cool checkout at the cooked food side. It's just weird that you have an asian supermarket in a caucasian mall, and there is an asian mall across the street , but that mall is pathetic (Henderson Plaza).

Great assortment of Chinese specialty foods in Coquitlam. It's good to know that there's a T & T Supermarket in Coquitlam to serve the unique needs of their large and growing Asian community. I love that they offer ready-to-eat foods, both hot and cold, at competitive prices. I also appreciate that they have sampling tables to allow you to try new and different products. I wish, however, that this place wasn't so crowded, even during off-peak hours. Also, several times, I was disappointed to find that certain pastries were sold out, and unlikely to be replenished that day. I guess first come, first serve.

Its part of Coquitlam Centre, always busy, not as busy as the Metrowtown location, bring your own bags they charge! I love the ready foods, sushi to go and the baked goods. Lower mainland has lots of Asian grocery stores and I must admit T&T is one of my favourites, and are pretty decently priced. Don't ever try to ask workers for help most of them don't speak English, which is fine I find the store pretty easy to navigate. If you come an hour before closing most of the fresh food go on sale!! Cheap dinner!!

I'm just amazed and in awe of the variety of Asian foods and delicacies you can get at this super store. Coquitlam... you guys are so spoiled to have such a convenient place to shop your groceries or just get what's already done for you in their dim sum and deli section. Live seafood, fresh produce, ready to cook dishes... you name it! So happy we got lanzones and mangosteen. Reminds me of my childhood back home in Manila. We tried and cooked the live spotted prawns and they were totally delicious. Wish we had this in Utah!

All in all, this place is really great to find veggies, herbs and fruits one would have a hard time finding at other supermarkets. I always have a hard time finding Young Coconuts for its water as I'm a health fanatic (most days). Just be prepared for a busy and "youre on your own" type of service. But, the good prices more than make up for it, so this has never been a problem for me. The variety at T&T is so great that sometimes I'll browse there when I cant decide what to make for dinner, knowing all my needs will be met in one produce-rich location

It's location, in a small plaza, is handy to a variety of shops, restaurants, and services situated along this growing area of Coquitlam 'behind' the Coquitlam Centre. We were in this particular plaza recently to do lunch at one of the restaurants, and during the few minutes waiting for it to open, I had an opportunity for a brief walkabout, and was able to drop into Rose's for a quick peak. Liked what I saw -- they had a wide selection of offerings, and I thought all were nicely-displayed. My visit was short, but while there, I did purchase some fresh, and good-looking eggplants. Before purchasing, I sought some advice from one of the staff -- she was very helpful, and the information received re: varieties, possible cooking methods, and such, was sure appreciated. I enjoyed my first, but much too brief encounter with the Rose Supermarket -- I'll plan to do better when there the next time.
