Shrimp chips - so nostalgic for me, 10/10! Loved that they are pre-fried and I will be bringing these to family gatherings to bring a touch of nostalgia back for everyone in my family. West Edmonton Mall T&T. I asked at the bakery counter whether they had egg pudding. The worker looked at me with distaste, said "I don't know what you are talking about", and went back to talking to her co-worker in some language other than English. Never again will I shop there, also never again at any Loblaws-owned chain such as Real Canadian Superstore or Shoppers Drug Mart. read more

Last 2 week I got email from T &T that $10 coupon if buy over $68. The coupons only expired for a week so last week I had to shop again. I brought around $67 that why the coupon wasn't qualify until wrap more bananas nearby. Last shop the purchase closed to $98. The Dislike to the store from me because service was badly. First - the Coupons have to double shop over $68. Second - Cashiers doesn't let's customers wrap little more to get souvenir ( calendar) but wrap more for quality coupon. read more

T & T remains my family's go to all purpose market for Asian goodness! From hot BBQ pork to warm baked egg tarts, they've got it all. If you've never tried a warm egg tart, get in your car and go NOW! My kids love driving the little hand carts around and picking out a treat (usually one of the Pocky varieties). I love the variety of miso pastes, curries, and tofus. Also, this is one of the best place to come for large packages of herbs like basil! You'll pay 1/4 of the price of a Sobeys or Safeway. You can snag some great deals here but you can also pay way too much so you need to know your comparable price points. The worst thing about this market is the ridiculous parking lot. Be wary and watch out for crazy drivers and parking spots tighter than your pants after Xmas dinner! See you soon, T & T! read more

The parking lot here is a nightmare! There is a 3 way stop that creates a bottleneck and the pedestrians are usually crossing at this intersection so it creates long pines and delays. The bus loop adds confusion and congestion to getting in an out of the lot. The selection and price of their inventory is on par with other Asian stores. The produce is more competitively priced and has specialty items for their clientele. I get their cooked food because it's hard to make roast duck and roasted pork belly as good as they do. Price is reasonable and it tastes good. Everything being equal I'd prefer to go to Lucky 97 on 127 street. It's the same distance and much less hassle with parking. Prices at Lucky 97 are slightly better as well. read more

Not recommended at this location. The other day I asked for a take out of noodle soup of duck leg as on their picture menu. The grumpy rude middle-age man refused to cut the duck leg for the noodle soup as on their ad. So the ad picture of duck leg on the noodle soup is false advertisement. No wonder there is no line up at the duck stall when he is there with attitude. Just watch them ... they also don't change their blue gloves when handling food and doing other things including changing the liner of the garbage bin. No hand washing! So be aware! read more

Coming to T&T on the weekend can be a nightmare with parking and people. But once you get inside it doesn't seem as crazy hectic. I'm used to shopping at the T&T in West Ed which can be busy and more familiar with their layout. There's the decent selection of fresh food including sushi and last time they had some marked down. I find overall the fresh food to be ok, filling and usually fresh but not so delicious. It's nice and convenient. I picked up some frozen food and fresh meats. The service at the check out counter was efficient but not too friendly. read more

Recently this supermarket added an option for delivery or pickup. My postal code only "qualified" for pickup, and I really needed a few specific items for cooking, so I gave it a try. The user interface for choosing items and adding to your cart is not horrible but not great either. Sometimes the cart refreshes without your newly chosen item and that happened several times without feedback as to why (e.g., the item is not available?). To pay is a multi-step process requiring you establish an account, but there seem to be a good number of pickup slots available. Your pickup is in a half hour slot. The email you receive about pickup asks you to call 15 min ahead of time. I did so just as I left the house. The person answering just said, "Hello?" rather than identifying as T&T. I had to explain to them that I was not just outside, but calling in advance as requested. And they asked my account code that had been sent on the email! Glad I didn't try to do this by voice activated phone in the car. I arrived at the site with its already heavily reviewed terrifying parking lot. While I could have easily avoided all the congestion and gone straight round back, there was no signage to identify the pickup location anywhere. I actually ended up getting a parking spot in the lot at front, always a death-defying activity, and calling again to say I had arrived. Again, no store identification from whomever answered. I was now told to drive around back. So on through the rest of the lot, past Chapters and around the corner. There was a gentleman waiting with the bags comprising my order, so that was great. This was not contactless pickup, as I was asked to provide my name to validate that this was my order. Once I got home, I saw that the items on my list were all faithfully provided, even down to high-quality fruits and veg that I threw in to see how it would go. YUM! I really love this T&T despite its highly unfortunate location, so I hope this review will help them improve this arm of their business. Their inventory is always nothing short of fabulous -- Honey Butter Chips, anyone? -- but really, the pickup option needs some work before I can count on pandemic shopping here. I have to replenish a bunch of sauce/spice items soon, so I'll probably try them one more time. read more

And I asked the store for proof but they were silent. I tried to report this problem many times and no help. When the store is indifferent to take responsibility This problem is fraud. Though Lucky Supermarket is closer to me and I do like going there, I find that their bakery does not compare to T&T's, who have much more Chinese bakery goods. If I don't feel like making the trek down to China Town, then will hit up T&T for some baked goods, my fave being the egg tarts. But you will find many other things like BBQ pork buns, cream or sweet paste filled buns etc. Like Lucky, they too have hot food (including dim sum) for take out here. I've never tried any, so can't say how it is. If you want to avoid the crowds, then I would recommend going very early in the day, or avoid going on the weekends, especially Sunday (for some reason us Asians seem to love grocery shopping on that day ha). read more

Buffet food close to front entrance is just ok - food at WEM location is much better and in a more spacious location in that store. Buffet is not self-serve at Northtown location, but staff serving customers do not understand English. Communication is very difficult and line-ups are very disorganized. read more

Great amount of selection, The bubble tea counter as soon as you walk in is fantastic, but the parking lot is atrocious. Getting the cart is an adventure in it's self, and returning the cart without getting squashed puts you in the classic video game of Frogger. Nobody obeys the stop sign and a lot of people asking for spare change can be annoying. I actually seen somebody trying to direct traffic which is a plus. Not sure if it was just a one time thing. I am a big fan. I love Asian food. You can get nearly every thing you need here. I also love their portuguese egg tarts.

The food here is amazing!! The first day we arrived in Canada we bought 5 BBQ Pork buns. It reminds me of a Manapua but wayyyy better! The second day we went back to T&T and bought 35 BBQ buns, because they are really that good! Third day here and we went to T&T again. We got the best Orange chicken I've ever had, Soup, and an good Eggplant dish as a buy 1 get 1 free deal. So cheap and so good. I know we will be back a few more times before we leave here. I'm also planning to take home a bunch of the BBQ Pork Buns. Some of the staff here are not that friendly or helpful. My brother in law kept asking for duck and pork but kept getting ignored. He was finally able to get help from a lady who had to ask the same man for the meat. The man then provided my brother in law with the meat and a grouchy face. My husband ordered some noodles and the lady who was helping him wasn't able to concentrate on giving him the noodles. While trying to pack the noodles she would stop so she could talk and laugh with her coworker. I was waiting for him near the checkout and then found out later the reason why it was taking so long to just get noodles. Remember to bring your shopping bag because they charge .4 cents per. The cashier will ask you if you want a bag and won't tell you that they are charging you for it. The 4 stars are strictly based on the delicious food here. The service so far has been 1 star. read more

Although I live by the T&T on the west end, I actually prefer going to the north end location for one reason: the service in the bakery. I found the service for this location the better of the two when ordering a birthday cake for the reason that they spoke english and were friendly. They offered suggestions and was very pleasant. Unsure of a cake flavor? I would highly recommend the fresh mango cake. Unlike the west end store, the north end doesn't make you pay for the cake up front. Besides the bakery, T&T has a great variety of imported foods that you can't find in most super markets. Feel like eating Japanese chips? They've got those (I suggest corn flavor). Asian style ice-cream? Got that too (Red bean is great). My favorite aisle is the drink aisle. The selection of juice boxes and especially the bottled teas will make you always want to keep coming back to try new things. As a bonus, if you come around dinner time, you're able to purchase some of the dishes that were produced in house in the morning at a discounted rate. They have cold dishes like sushi and maki rolls and some hot dishes that just need to be nuked like rice and bbq meat. It's definitely not the same like walking through a Watson's in Hong Kong but it's great to see store shelves filled with colorful bags of random flavored chips! read more

I work down the street, and I used to come here all the time for the food they cook. Nope, not anymore. I don't buy anything here unless it is packaged or shipped in. It seems like they are really lacking in terms of sanitary and safe food practices. Yeah the food is freaking delicious, but I don't trust it anymore. I've seen the cooks cough into their bare (and also gloved) hands and continue on to touch food without washing them. They also smoke out back wearing the clothing that they cook in, which is super unpleasant and off putting. I find a lot of the servers/cooks are also generally very unpleasant towards me when I go in there. The food is yum, but I really would rather not get sick eating it. Yikes. read more

An oasis to those away from the motherland, seller of delicious chinese-style bbq pork, and creater of cartoon character cakes that border on creepy looking. T&T, or whatever else it will be called, will likely be a staple of my household for the rest of my life. For any Chinese special event (New Years, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc.) you'll find your food needs here. BBQ pork, delicious buns, frozen spring rolls, frozen dumplings, you name it they got it. They also have quite the selection of Japanese okashi (snacks), rice, green tea and other goodies. Can't really comment on the selection of other Asian foods, but for Chinese and Japanese it has a healthy selection. This particular one I find is less busy than the West Edmonton Mall one, though not as big. Still I can find almost anything I need here. Parking can sometimes be a bit of an issue as the lot isn't that big, so keep in mind you might have to walk a little bit. read more

T&T Supermarket has a new location in the updated strip mall across from Northgate Mall. This pleases me as I don't have to deal with driving to the west end, traffic and parking issue with the West Edmonton Mall location. T&T Supermarket specializes in Asian consumables including; groceries, food, health care products and baking. The store is large and you will be hard pressed to not find what you're looking for, from Philippino, Chinese, Japanese, Thai or the like. I'm told by my Asian friends that it's authentic and the products are in keeping with traditional cuisine. One of the things I like about T&T is the great selection of seafood, most of which are live in large holding tanks waiting for you to take them home. Now, my husband is a Newfie so fresh seafood is a must and this is one of the best places in town to get it! They also have a pre-cooked/prepared meals in their deli section (sushi, Chinese BBQ, roast duck, etc.). They have a great selection of snack crackers which is a staple in my house for little nibblers. Sometimes it's fun to go and take in the hustle of the market and people watch. Great asian food market with almost everything I loved to eat and drink while in Japan. Still missing a few of the good bottled teas but huge selection none the less. Their bubble tea is also very delicious (I got avocado bubble tea) and makes for a good treat while shopping. While I was there they surprised me by having tasting booths set up at multiple spots (I haven't seen that at a grocery store in a really long time.) read more

We ordered 2 types of soup for pickup. Sichuan spicy noodle soup, shrimp wonton noodle soup. They were absolutely revolting. Salty, tasteless and definitely NOT FRESH FOOD. We ate a bit and threw the rest out as we didn't consider any of the soup edible. read more

I really, really like T & T supermarket and have been a fan since living in Vancouver many years ago. However, this and the WEM location have recently let us down for both the quality and the size of the meals in their hot food selection area. So much so that I also wrote the company before posting this. I have yet to receive a reply. 02/28/13 today went to T&T good prices on some meat,reasonable prices all around ,, Now we get to the area that does to combos. Asked for steamed rice , got fried rice. I use to go to tnt northside for the 3 dinner special at 5pm use to be a reasonable deal. But they changed the container to much smaller now. I even asked if it was smaller and server said it was the same for same price. Shame on tnt for ripping off customers. I'm going to ask for refund never touch what I bought yet. They did give me full refund from my receipt did not return meal. One of the discounted mini cakes had mold which they refunded as well 5 day old bread or cake at room temp would mold anywhere. read more

Horrible-they almost killed my girlfriend!! They had a prepackaged chicken salad and they contaminated it with fish!! She had to drive to the hospital because her throat had swelled up to the point where she couldn't breathe anymore, thank god she lived close to the hospital and recognized these idiots messed up get chicken salad! If you're looking for an Asian food and can't find it elsewhere in Edmonton, then T&T is your best bet. They import food from all over Asia, not just China, so it's fairly easy to find Korean, Filipino, Japanese and Chinese goodies here. Admittedly, they don't have the selection you might find in a Carrefour in China or an Odoya in Japan, but it is fairly extensive. Want a quick, cheap and huge lunch? For $8.49 you can get a three item combo meal from their deli, which has steamed rice and three choices from their extensive hot buffet (20+ dishes). For another buck, you can substitute fried rice or chow mein noodles. They also offer take out sushi at a decent price and have a very good bakery that does amazing cakes (Hello Kitty anyone?), excellent breads (coconut bread here is a breakfast all by itself) and makes a variety of delicious buns (BBQ pork, curry beef, etc) and snacks. Their produce section is also extensive and offers a variety of fruit not commonly found in other Edmonton supermarkets and the meat and seafood selections are pretty good too, although a touch expensive. The only catch I've found with T&T is their sale prices - if you see something at an amazing price, it almost certainly has a best-before date very soon (often tomorrow or the day after that!), so the old phrase buyer beware rings true. They are also often skittish about returns, so if you do buy something, make sure it's exactly what you want. read more

Greet place for fast Chinese food or to pick up take out. Prices are about 1/3 to 1/2 of most restaurants. Large bowl of Hot and Sour Soup $3.99, about $12 most other places. Deep fried , BIG, drumsticks #2 bucks each. Have a real wide variety of BBQ and pre-made dishes to choose from.' The grocery store attached to it is awesome if you like to look for Chinese and other Asian ingredients. IF you can't find it here you will probably have to order it. I have heard some whites say they feel poorly treated here, I have always had first rate friendly service but I also remember a lot of these people barely speak English so I don't embarrass them. read more

T&T at North gate Edmonton. Great vegetable selection... Poor service on hot food. Asked for 3 ribs of the roasted pork and was given lots of fatty meat instead. Definitely not what I ordered. I've only been to this location a handful of times, but it was a good experience every time. I came by today where I ate sushi for lunch and picked up some tea that was on sale. They even had a TV in the food court where they were showing a live fight on WWE. I thought that was cool. Another thing I immediately noticed is that they brought in bigger shopping carts. These new carts handled much better than the old ones. However, they need to do a better job with their cleaning because there were flies buzzing around the food court. read more

This place is decent for fruits, veggies, some grains, and international snacks. The food court is also alright but it really depends on the time of day. Every time I go here I always see and smell rotten meat ( beef, pork and fish ), so i would never trust the meat from this place. The aisles are small, and if its busy people tend to be pushy and inconsiderate. If you know when the down times are, then try to plan your visit around then. Its bad enough that the parking lot for this shopping centre is always chaotic, so there is a good chance you won't get a break from that once you get inside. read more

T&T Edmonton WILL CALL YOU A THIEF FOR 2 CENTS !!!!!!!!!!!!! I shop at T&T Edmonton 137 Ave very often; products are fresh and good but services usually terrible. June 17 at 6:30 pm I was there with my family, at the end of the trip, my husband paid for the grocery. When I saw the grocery was about to drop from the bag, I thought I need a double bag! Not remember that they charge for bags, I reached out to another counter. Immediately, a girl from the Customer Service Counter came and took the bag from my hands in a very rude manner, and then she said " EXECUSE ME, WE CHARGE FOR BAG, YOU CAN NOT JUST STEAL IT " and she just walk away like nothing happen. wowww!!!! wat !!! I couldn't beleive it. It shoud have been an easy fix if she told me that they charge for bag, and i would pay for it no problem. But for 2 cents? this is just horrible services! I thought I will go talk to the manager and request an apology, but I rather let everybody know about this, I'll make sure everyone I know heard about this !!!! If there is alternative, I wouldn't visit this store again! it just terrible customer service !!! read more

TNT south side has the most fucking rude bitches service at the food line no one can speak English so you can't understand a word and that water they serve and call it soup is disgusting and the portions of meat you get in your combos are a ripoff they pile the rice and vegetables and noodles on and no meat even if you offer to pay they still cheep out I am disappointed and disgusted with that store and the service and the rude staff and it's not very clean I will not step foot back in that store and I will be telling thousands of people read more

Large store layout, with many products out on the shelf which is always good to see that the shelving space is being occupied and not sitting empty as some stores. A vast variety of Asian food, limited English on some packaging; so that could lead to a communication barrier. Always crowded in this market which makes it tricky to maneuver. Overall, great market especially if you are in the mood for something new and exotic for dinner. read more

I decided to try the BBQ pork since it's convenient compared to driving to china town. I immediately regret the decision when I opened the box. There was no sauce and the slices were thick which brought out the dryness of the bbq pork. The pastries and other selection is great but definitely not the bbq meat. read more
