I first went to them in 1988 and I've been continually going to them because they do such a great job. I had my home done all my cars done.

The tinting on the car had general wear and peeling from being done so long ago, so it was time for a refresh. I researched places to go and T&T had wonderful reviews, plus their Kaka'ako shop is convenient for drop off and pickup. I originally called after seeing their prices online, and the employee on the phone was very friendly and helpful talking me through the options, figuring out a price in advance and scheduling the appointment. I had to move it once, and that was a breeze too. On appointment day, they open the big door and you drive in. The associate at the counter had all the paperwork ready, a walk through of general condition is done, risks explained, and on I went about my day. It was finished way ahead of the quoted time, I picked it up and paid which was also easy. They do other types of service like exterior wraps, and interior covers, which we didn't use. All the care instructions are gone over; you can't use the windows for two days and it can take up to a month for it to all completely dry. Any issues that don't resolve within 30 days, you can bring it back for free to be corrected. I would definitely use them again, but hopefully this new tinting will last for the life of the car. read more

We have been taking our cars (and our home tinting) to T&T Tinting for years. Today, we brought our Nissan Leaf, and as usual, the team at the Kaka'ako location was excellent. They were a little backed up as it took a little longer than the 2 hours projected, but it's all good as their quality of work and customer service is exceptional. Thank you T&T Tinting for honoring my lifetime warranty from a brand new 2014 Toyota corolla purchase i made directly from the Toyota dealer at the end of 2013. I didn't realize it was a lifetime warranty for the original owner of the car until someone told me I had the warranty on the inside of my door. We tinted windows of our house in 2011. It dramatically decreased the heat inside our house which used to feel like a greenhouse in the summer, best decision ever made. The side facing the morning and afternoon sun eventually bubbled a little after 14 years. I called them and they scheduled Shawn (or sean) to come out the next morning, so fast! He was great, he even pointed out some bubbling I failed to notice and said we should get them redone. They called me immediately and scheduled someone to work on the tinting so fast. They are really on top of it. I usually have to do the calling and following up with a company but they are so proactive. As an update: the owner reached out (On Thanksgiving!) to make sure they made this right. My door is fixed (a switch in the door panel had been disconnected) and they swapped out the top dark film for the 35% tint. At their Koapaka location they did a thorough walkthrough of the car to ensure it was returned in the same condition. Then I was counseled that the privacy glass would look about one shade darker than each of the samples. This was exactly the counseling I needed to make the right decision for our vehicle. I got my wife's car tinted for her birthday. Did research and selected T&T. The overall experience was good. The check in folks were very nice. The tint came out nice - so satisfied from those perspectives. Why the rating? Upon check out and paying over $500 for the job, I was surprised when they showed me the check-out screen and actually asked for a tip for the worker. At 15% that would be, like $80!!! Add that to the 3% they add on if you want to use a credit card! And with the young lady waiting for me to sign I felt like I was "forced" into tipping and feeling rushed, ended up giving a $50 tip. Don't they pay a decent hourly wage to their workers?? Why "encourage/request" giving a tip on a $500 job?? Beware of this and make your own decision. I'll be sure to warn friends of this if they ask for a recommendation. read more

My boyfriend needed to get his tint done on his 2012 Corolla and after the awesome job T&T Tinting did on my car a few months back I made sure to refer him to these guys. Dru, who helped us out the last time and was incredibly nice and efficient, came through for us again and worked around our schedules to find a day that would be convenient for us to come down. Again, the check in process was super simple, we had to choose which type of film we wanted for the windows, we went with the Pinnacle Ceramic film at the darkest we could get, filled out paperwork and handed them the keys. To my surprise within an hour we got a call back saying that the car was completed. After doing a walk around of the car we were super impressed with the finished product, definitely worth the money, and you can't beat the lifetime warranty that's provided with every job done. He's the nicest guy and always makes me feel like I'm his favorite/only customer. He even showed up personally when the residential team did the work. I got checked in by front desk lady and talked about what I wanted to put on my truck, I guess I noted down that I wanted the pinnacle type tint.
