I came here a couple of years ago to get my accord tinted and it came out well. Then I went to their location closer to Honolulu to get my brz tinted, and it went ok with some caveats. Decided to make the trek out to Kapolei to get my CTR tinted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything went smoothly. Made the appointment online and was able to get a date that Saturday. Awesome![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Arrived at the appointment on time and my car was seen immediately. The tinting process took about an hour but they left my car out to "bake" in the sun for 30 mins. 90 mins for a tint job? Not bad. I think I paid around $360 for a sedan/hatchback for their mid tier llumar ceramic which I loved on both my accord and brz. Lifetime warranty but make sure to keep your receipts and the warranty itself. A guy came in needing to get something redone after two years and they seemed able to find him in their system but it probably would have been easier just to bust out the receipts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had 3-4 guys working in the back. Everyone was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiting area has a tv and some random toys for toddlers. A customer seemed had left a smoothie or something out overnight and it had curdled so that was kind of gross. One of the guys noticed it and threw it away. Sorry for this late review, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to make one for the stellar customer service at Ohana Tinting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Long story short so I had a botch job at another tint shop in Aiea, so [[HIGHLIGHT]]I call Ohana at the Kapolei location and tell I believe it was Davin who I spoke with on the landline. He tells me he can take a look at it without hesitation, I even tell him I did not tint at Ohana, he says he can still try to resolve.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I go down to Kapolei in the industrial area and see him and explain that the botch job tinter never scraper/squeegee the back windshield good enough, it was already peeling off at the corner. The tinter tried blaming me and made a thousand excuses to try to weasel his way out of resolving it. He claims he had to take off the Lexus door panels fully, that is not true all you have to do is pull away the top part of the panel and take out the sweep, than the tinter can bottom load the tint easily. For someone with over three decades of experience he should know better about Toyota/Lexus door panels and that full removal is not required. Also he damaged my door panel trim pieces on most of the 4 window housing plastic trims where the window switches go in. I can tell it was a small flathead because of the gouge lines on the corners of the window switch housing. Also soap was left all over the seats on leather. Terrible business ethics to be honest, blaming others is even worse and not taking accountability is just a lack of integrity. Also how I found out about the window switch falling down into the door was when my detailer told me about it. Switch housing wasn't seated into the panel trim. I call the tinter and he blamed my detailer for breaking switch who is a known figure in the detailing industry, that got him angry and he told relevant players in the industry to avoid that tint shop. Window switch was never broken. Anyways I go see the tinter at Ohana and he graciously helps me out and squeegees the corner of the tint down, it looked better but wasn't all the way because it had dried up already. It was fine with me as I will remove and replace with LLumar IRX with Ohana. Had LLumar before with a known tint shop years ago and was a good tint. Now I will go to Ohana as a new customer because the legislature signed a new tint law where cars can have darker tint that is uniform with SUVS and trucks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am thankful of Ohana and the employees and that impression of Davin helping me was someone who went out of their way to help someone even though they never had business relations with them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of this I will be a customer of Ohana tinting for now on. read more

10/19/21 LOCATED in the Campbell Industrial Park area, Lawiliwili is the first left after the COSTCO intersection. When you get to the area, Bldg 3 should be the first one you see. Bldg 7 is in the back. The building numbers won't seem logical... if you drive straight towards back you should be facing Bldg 6 and Ohana Tinting is across. Hubster made an appointment for 10 am. I was the first one there. All we needed was 2 front windows 35% tint so we can pass safety check. It took about 45 mins tops. The waiting area was very accommodating and unexpected. So reading things over such as instructions has been very beneficial for me understanding what to do and what choices to make. Now, not everything can be printed out on paper for you to know what to expect. Now that wouldn't be fun now would it? This brings me to Ohana Tinting who has two locations, one in Honolulu near Iwalei Costco and where I am currently, their Kapolei location. The OG location. They sell IRX (very good UV protection and shatter proof capability to your glass. CTX has very similar grade of very good UV ceramic if you choose ceramic but does not have shatter-proof tech. Now if you think about not having one break in your car then shatter proof is good. But I think of worse-case scenario where you land your vehicle in water and you wanna break your glass window. So if you want and maybe can ask is if you can switch up the IRX and CTX. They also have the mid-grade ATR series (metallic tint) main difference is not having the clear and easy connectivity for your cell phone connection. If you purely want just a colored stable dye tint (basic) for privacy they have the ATC series. Not much heat protection but just for the look of tinted windows. There is also a AIR series where you can have the same tech and protection as the IRX just without any shade darker than your OEM windows. I was happy to be back after having my tint on for a little over a year. I did notice small bubbles while cleaning my car about 11 months later. Two months finally call to ask if they would warranty the work and they said I could come in same day. They do make appointments as well. Just be sure to keep your warranty brochure with you. I would suggest your glove box. The waiting area can sit about 6 people comfortably. There are toys for young kids, water and a tv. Since it's a tint shop you will smell chemicals when you are in the waiting room which is where you also pay when they're done. read more

I just got my 2021 Honda Civic hatchback tinted and it came out really nice. At first there were a few lint bubbles that I could easily spot and see, so I called and asked if they could redo it because I had warranty. Keala was nice enough to redo it and he also let me know that no matter what there will be lint bubbles. (personally I think if you're paying a lot of money to get your tinting done, they should try their hardest to avoid any lint bubble because the tint will be on for a long time. It's not like a screen protector where you can switch it off easily if there is a lot of lint. But since he offered to redo it, I was happy.) So my aftermarket & factory tint both got scratched off just my front seat windows. After using elbow grease to remove the driving hazard on the driver's side window I just didn't have the time or energy to do the passenger side.
