Was good up till they weren't, used this company to install my whole house Generac Generator about three years ago, as stated all was well till I actually needed their help after my generator sucked a lot of snow from the recent blizzard into the air intake and quit. When I called them to come out and fix the problem they wanted to charge me time and a half for the service call even though I had a service contract. Their reasoning was that it was my fault that I didn't prevent snow from getting inside the air filter. They claimed to have sent out a mass email a month ago notifying all their customers of this possible issue, I never viewed it and no follow-up was ever sent. Not happy, now I'm looking for a new service company. read more

I called TK Lyden looking for assistnace with my Mom's generator - which was not cycling properly and as a result left her stuck and disoriented in her basement when the Generac failed. Isnt that the point of annual maintenance? Avoid a failure when you really need it. She had been working with another certified Generac contractor in Marlboro annually and had a maintnence contract - which we now know was not being fulfilled properly. Oil was being changed, but nothing else. The batteryhad never been replaced on a Generac that was installed in 2015. We I found TK Lyden and was happy to speak to Kerri. She immeditely put me at ease. Throughout our conversation and emails, which included a welcome letter and complete pricing, it was obvious that they know their business. Long story short - we had complete Generac service with TK Lyden and couldn't be happier. We chose to install a heat kit, which seems to have helped the over all issue. Generac is back to it's Thursday cycle and we're happy to hear it evey week We terminated our service agreement with out former group and signed on with TK Lyden. We look forward to a long relationship with TK Lyden. read more

These fine folks took over service / maintenance of my generator after it was installed. I wish the Generac website had pointed me to them rather than the folks that put it in. Anyway, T.K. Lyden seems to be a very good company. They contact me annually to remind me it's time again, so I don't have to keep track of it. Very professional, pleasant to speak with on the phone. i couldn't have asked for a better experience than what my family and i received dealing with Tim and his whole crew. We own a older home that had knob and tube wiring when we purchased it. As first time home owners we called 7 different electricians trying to get a quote for the work. Tim and his father came out to inspect the property, they spent 4 or 5 hours out here inspecting every thing and with in a week we had a detailed quote for the work (not an estimate). The other 6 electricians we called would not bother to come out and refused to give us a quote, just a very large range of numbers letting us know it could always cost more. We had to put the work on hold for three years, when we called back this May to get the work done the original price quoted was honored. Which was a shock to us. The work began in June and Tim and has crew did an amazing job. Every outlet and lighting fixture was replaced, the patch work they did on the walls a ceilings was well done and they cleaned up after themselves everyday. Any time there was a question or a concern the options were explained to us and they communicated every day what the would be working on so we knew what parts of the house would be without power. Everyone one who came here was respectful of the property and of all of us who were here while they were working. I couldn't afford to do all of the improvements we wanted to but when the time comes I will certainly use them again. Lyden has a client for life. read more

Purchased a standby generator through this company and had them install it at the end of last year. They handled everything from start to finish, including scheduling the gas company to come out and change out the meter. They set the pad for the unit, installed it including all piping, hooked it up to the electric panel in my home and insured the rooms I needed to have run electricity in a power outage worked with no issues. These folks are real pros. Not one think went wrong or was questioned. They just recently scheduled an appointment to come back to change the oil in the unit (a service I purchased during the install). I highly recommend these folks. Excellent!!! Needed a standby generator for my home. Contacted 3 companies and was very unhappy with their services. Found T.K Lyden and received very professional service. They answered all my concerns. They did the site preparations, had gas company contacted, plumber was awesome, town inspector approved site with new gas meter, Tim Jr did the electrical install. They cleaned up after they were done. Explained how everything worked. Also they gave my so many extra options for future additions if I needed them. The awesome part was turning off the main power and in 7 seconds the generator kicked in and all my set electrical outlets/lights/ac/fridge/stove/etc was on. Now I can get rid of my gas generator and the gas containers. Very professional and friendly. This is a family business. They are very busy, but will get back to you quickly either my phone/email.
