Second, when I asked how to enroll in autopay for my service, the representative told me to call 888-866-6924. This number is worthless because it would not let me do anything unless I entered an employee number, which I do not have because I am not an employee. Needless to say, because (800) 880-1077 also is worthless, I was unable to call back to get the correct number. I was eventually able to enroll in autopay online. WARNING: The advertised autopay discount is not available unless you use a Verizon VISA card or your bank account. Verizon itself is absolutely worthless and unreliable (1 star). I got the 5G because my DSL has gone out 3 or more times in the past year and, in one case, I had to deal with the BBB and consumer protection agencies to get a junk fee removed from my bill. This was for a technician visit to my home that found no problems with my inside wiring, but for which I was charged anyway. My phone service just went out today. Verizon is very good at taking my money every month, and recently raising its prices, but not so diligent about making sure the services for which I am paying actually work.

Without any notification they added $20 to my bill because I also have home internet billed to my cell phone account and was enjoying a second $10 credit for using autopay. Soooo I asked them to mail me my bill and I will mail them a check and we can make them work a bit for their money... but more than likely just going to ditch them for a less expensive company. That 3% credit card fee might have been better absorbed than the backlash from this stunt.

I'm giving a 5 star review because of what Bob DIDNT do for me…read more My hard drive was brought in for some repairs. There was a laundry list of issues that could have been causing it. Like most places, there is an initial charge to even look at the hard drive, and a no-promises understanding moving forward with the repairs from there. Long story short, Bob went above and beyond to help me. He did some initial diagnostics and gave a probably-too-honest-assessment that there was only about a 10% chance the thing could be fixed even if he did take it in. It's a major bummer that my hard drive is probably done for but it's a major relief that I'm not also out another $100 on top of my already bad luck! Honest shop. Fair assessment. Great service.
