They don't own any of the equipment or lines, they simply buy phone service from CenturyLink and resell it to you and others. As a result, when something goes wrong, they are of only marginal assistance in obtaining a resolution. Specifically, if you need repair service, you call One Ring, they call CenturyLink, then you sit and wait. My phone service goes out frequently and, for the episode at this writing, has been out for two weeks now. With each of the multiple calls I've made to One Ring pleading for help, they claim they are trying to get the repair done but there's nothing they can do. And, the tone of voice they all use seems to convey they are really not concerned about whether or when your service is restored (just keep paying their bill!). Getting service directly from CenturyLink is probably a better idea, and one I'm considering at this time. Perhaps they take care of their own customers better than One Ring's.

My disappointment is that today in the middle of a conference call via WiFi, the line went dead. I was unable to rejoin an important call. Apparently, the autopay was never set up and my bill was overdue. OK, shit happens with new service being set up properly. My issue is that I was two months overdue and no one contacted me. No email, no call. I did not pickup a call from Stephenville, TX, I live in Corsicana. Since no voice message was left, I assumed it was one of the many I identified solicitation calls I get daily. Minutes later my internet was cut off. They also charged a late fee to reconnect service. They couldn't even set up autopay over the phone, I have to go by the office or fill out a form that they can mail out on request. No option to fill an autopay authorization online. This needs to be rectified immediately. For a technology company, they have low-tech customer service.
