Old Corner Drug is like a trip back in time to an old drug store, albeit without a soda fountain. All they have here are the drugstore basics, so it's not a convenience store. But what they do have is priceless -- friendly help, pharmacists who are full of recommendations on over the counter options, and more than a few over the counter medications you won't find elsewhere. Case in point, recently a friend had severe allergies and I mentioned Actifed as a drug that worked for me, but is no longer made. She called Old Corner Drug and Randy, the pharmacist on duty, told her they carried Aprodine, which turned out to the modern version of the medication with the exact same ingredients. This is service and selection you won't find at a chain store.

Mine went without a hitch, I don't mind shots so much. The wife has an issue with needles and she had some anxiety. Tim was understanding and expressed empathy and was patient and we got the shot in her. 15 minutes of waiting to make sure we didn't have a reaction and home we go. It does have a hometown feel as this is not the big city and that's the appeal and charm of more rural Texas.
