The owner seemed very nice and professional. However, he completely butchered my Dad's obituary, even calling him by the wrong name and listing other people's relatives. I emailed him and he fixed it right away though. At the meeting, nothing was mentioned about needing framed photos. Just pictures for the photo board. Other relatives brought in framed photos of themselves with my father, excluding me. I would have thought that the owner would have called or written to ask me for a framed photo. It seems ridiculous to exclude one of his kids. No call, nothing. ( My fiance organizes photo boards for funerals, and he regularly calls people to request photos) Then at the funeral, it was a disorganized mess. They did not organize a receiving line, which led to chaos. Once we left the church, we almost missed getting in the funeral car procession. Nobody directed us into the line. ( My fiance is in a wheelchair, so we were parked in a handicapped spot.). The man is nice enough, but obviously not a very good funeral director.

We had a very poor experience working with Geigle and the funeral staff. Not one document we…read morereceived through the cremation process was correct. The burial permit, cremation certificate and death certificates all contained errors. We were disappointed that the funeral home was unwilling to at least pay for two additional corrected copies we ordered, as we initially paid for ten copies which all contained errors. It took many weeks for staff to respond to phone messages and text messages that were left with questions. We ended up scheduling the interment at the gap cemetery on our own. We were also disappointed with the staff that picked up the remains of our loved one after they passed away in our home (Courtney & David). They took away a sheet that belonged to us for some reason instead of just taking the remains. Thank goodness we thought to ask for her wedding ring as I later found out someone else we know who used Geigle forgot to do that and the funeral home was unwilling to give that back to the family. Also we saw Courtney at the Giant food store a few days later and said hello to her by her name. She just stared at us and walked away. very creepy, which in a nutshell explains our whole experience with Geigle. This summary was emailed to the funeral home's contact us link to inform management of our negative experience and they never responded.
